Gary Knight and his team did a magnificent job in painting our entire home and making many needed repairs to the underlying stucco. We had high expectations for Gary Knight and his team, and those expectations were very much exceeded. These folks are truly well skilled professionals. Some details... The time had come to give our 3700 sf Las Cruces home of 10 years some well-deserved TLC - its stucco needed repairing in several locations, it had some water damage to its entry way and to its rear patio ceiling, there was an old and unused utility box that needed to be covered up, and there was severe damage to a canale over the garage and to the garage ceiling below it. We solicited several bids for the entire project and after interviewing the prospective candidates, we chose Knight's Painting. We had seen Knight's Painting signs on various projects in the area and we knew of other serious and capable competitors. We knew little about Knight's Painting other than some favorable reviews and accompanying photos and we were wondering how they would handle a large project like ours. Gary Knight's bid wasn't the cheapest, but we felt that he was offering by far the best value for our money - and time has shown our expectations to be well founded. Day to day... Gary's team of about 15 people showed up at 07:00 sharp on the first day of the project and did so every day thereafter. They obviously had the people, the skills, the tools, and the leadership needed to do a thorough and professional job. The team members were always very friendly, respectful, and helpful. Gary had an assigned project manager for the job and Gary himself was often personally on the job to assess progress and to occasionally pitch in to assist on a task. I must add that Gary and his project manager have a real eye for detail, and they took on many small important tasks that were not specifically called out in the Knight's bid. Management and leadership... Overall, we are well pleased with the magnificent results of the makeover on our 24-year-old home. But such results on a large project like ours do not come about without some excellent and very capable management and leadership at the top. We had the pleasure of working with the folks at Knight's Painting. A couple of guys from Knight's Painting came by one day dropping off door hangers to advertise their services. We have unsuccessfully been trying to find someone (anyone) to do some work on our home. People come, promise to send estimates and never do. With fingers crossed, Hubby called to see if Knight Painting would come give us an estimate. Gary Knight showed up, listened to our needs walked the property with Hubby, went on the roof took pictures, and gave us an estimate. He even was willing to do the miscellaneous little work, no one else was interested in doing. I started calling it the "non-sexy" work. We accepted. He was professional and obviously knew his business. The plan was for the work to start in early January. Mid-November Gary let us know that if we wanted, they could start early due to a cancellation. They started 2 weeks ago and have completed everything we asked and things they saw that needed to be done, that we hadn't thought about. The crew was hardworking, pleasant to be around and respectful of our home. They were exceptionally professional and knowledgeable about their tradecraft. We fell ill while they were here (luckily, they had finished inside and were working exclusively outside while we were miserable, hacking and aching in the house). They were quiet and thorough. In the summer of 2022, we hired Knight's painting to repair and paint the stucco on the entire exterior of our home. They also replaced gutters and weather stripping. We were completely satisfied with the work they did and two years later, everything's still in excellent condition. Last December when we needed our garage roof painted and repaired, we didn't hesitate to call on Gary and his crew to take care of it. Once again, we were impressed with the professionalism, customer focused service and quality work that they provided at a reasonable cost. This week our guest bedroom needed a facelift and Robert and Kiki on the Knight's painting crew came to the rescue. I initially hired Gary to paint the interior of my home. He and his crew were always on time, very professional and a joy to work with. They did an excellent job. I then had them back to paint the exterior of my home. I was having a difficult time making a color choice. They were very patient and helpful in my process. We decided to have our house painted. Our son had use Knight's Painting just a few months before and we liked the way it was done and the way it turned out. We decided to have Gary Knight give us an estimate for painting the outside of our home. Gary has an EXCELLENT crew of men, Eric, Bear and Chris. About 2 years ago we had Knight's Painting paint 5 exterior doors on our home. After seeing the beautiful and professional work that was done at that time, we didn't hesitate to have Knight's Painting back when we needed the exterior of our house painted. The job has just been completed and we are very pleased with the results. The crew greeted us every morning with a smile and were very respectful. HIred Gary and his crew to refinish all the neglected exterior wood columns and trim at our 20-year old house. They, including Gary, showed up early, meticulously taped off all surrounding glass, tile and stucco surfaces, HAND-sanded the wood, applied multiple coats of stain, and did a thorough job of cleaning up. Wood looked brand new when they finished, all at a very reasonable price. Next job, we asked them to repair ceiling damage inside the house from leaks. They replaced drywall, retextured surfaces, and painted five rooms involving 10 colors. (Wife loves a vibrant house!) Expert texture and paint-matching left no trace of the previous issues. To start with this is the 3rd project Knights Painting has done for us and work product has been consistent each time. We found out that they do roof coating just by chance so we requested a quote for that as well drywall repair indoors and some painting. Gary came out promptly and we had an estimate that morning and they started the project the next day. They showed up when they said they would did what they said they would and completed the project when they said they would. They batted a thousand. When they finished they cleaned up like they care. The agreed price was fair and the work actually began a day earlier than originally scheduled. The two painters, Eric and Bear, were professional, meticulous and did a great job. Painting our house and repairing the stucco was no ordinary job. There was an incredible amount of detail work to be done. Plus we are kinda picky when it comes to having those details perfect :) Gary knocked it out of the park! I don't know exactly how he did it but he made the stucco look upscale and rich. In September of 2017 Knight's Painting repaired the stucco and completely repainted my home. Now, nearly six years later my home still looks great. About two years ago I noticed a couple of small cracks at one corner of my home. I called Mr. Knight and he came over the same week and repaired and painted that area.
