What a gem of a find! Quaint shop with yarn literally from floor to ceiling. Super friendly folks where it was hard to determine who worked there and who was just there because they love the place. Very little walking around room with the table in the center where they were doing a class. I'll be stopping in here any time I go to Cocoa from now on. great small yarn store in a cute kitschy area in Cocoa Village. The regulars here are a tight knit group (no pun intended), and the sales staff is lovely. They let you browse and shop at your own pace without being to intrusive (fellow knitters you know what I mean!). While they don't carry as many brands as I'd like, they have so many colorways of each kind, it's a great opportunity to stock up. read more

I had hours to kill and looked up the nearest LYS. The reviews I read sold me, and I agree completely! The store is beautiful; it is exactly what you want in a yarn shop. Variety in color, in texture, in yarn type... a feast for the eyes. The women in there couldn't have been friendlier, and when someone walked in to just sit and knit a bit, I knew I had come to the right place. This little gem of a yarn store, tucked into the old Florida pastels of Old Cocoa, FL, is totally worth the trip. The staff is friendly and helpful and funny, welcoming to folks who've been knitting for ages and those just starting out. The selection is fantastic, and if they don't have it, they will try to find it for you (now granted, if you're visiting and just desperate for a LYS fix you're not likely to order, but knowing you're supporting a place that wants to spread the gospel of fun and happy knitting? Should make you feel good). Best thing? They keep a ready supply of both chocolate and wine, for those days where you need to take the edge off before trying to figure out how to make that dadburned Alice Starmore thing you've been holding on to for 10 years. Or, if you just want to learn how to do a new thing. Lastly, classes! The staff provide classes on all kinds of things, completely reasonably priced, and they take the teaching as seriously as the craft. You will not find yourself in a class with someone talking down to you or unable to explain the steps you need to do to get where you want to go.\ I love yarn stores, they give me the happy. The lovely young women at the reception desk at the Hampton inn in Vieira could not recommend this place more highly. She did not know the name but called a nook in a cranny, we found the real name on line. From the moment we walked in, Jamie welcome us with a HUGE smile, as did the other women seated at a long yarn friendly table with large( and I mean LARGE) jars of chocolate treats. We asked for a lunch recommendation, and even left our knitting bags there while we strolled up the block to lunch. When we returned most of the chairs were taken, but we found our way easily. My sister bought yarn for a baby blanket, and most everyone wanted to say hello to my service dog, Tobey (a miniature poodle). The store is brimming with ideas, and appears to hold classes on most every thing. They had a very nice selection of buttons, to finish such projects as the gorgeous felted bag that the pattern designer, ( sorry forgot her name, but kraziknits on ravelry) was sporting. We than sat down and began to knit... I do believe they had to toss us out as the store was closing, we did not want to leave. This knitting shop has the largest selection of finished projects I have ever seen...give a knitter/crocheter more than a lifetime of ideas! read more

I absolutely LOVE this LYS. I've visited so many LYS in several different states and even countries and honestly, after my first visit today- it is in my top 3 ever. The store is well organized, has every notion and accessory you could want, the absolute cutest yarn bowls, there's an abundance of shop samples, a phenomenal selection, and most importantly- the wonderful staff that work here is what makes it so wonderful. They know their inventory, they are tremendously helpful *without hovering,* are willing to share their knowledge and expertise and offer tips. I cannot say enough good things. This is my LYS & it is like home to me. Every single person in there, from the owner (Anne) to the associates/teachers (Lisa, Christine, Kaori, Gloria & so many others) are wonderfully welcoming & caring. There is a HUGE selection of yarn, classes, ideas, samples...the list just keeps going. You are always more than welcome to browse, sit, talk...eat chocolate, drink coffee or wine, knit or crochet or spin to your heart's content. All these lovely women have taught me (& helped me hone) so many skills with fiber. They've also encouraged and cheered and supported every effort I've made in my craft. I wouldn't be nearly so confident if it weren't for this shop! If you're just visiting, passing through, or live in Brevard County, you need to shop this store. read more

We drove 14 hours from Maryland to New Smyrna Beach, FL for a weeklong vacation. Today we drove almost an hour from New Smyrna to visit the Kennedy Center, and from there another 30-ish minutes to the historic Cocoa Village. I'm always looking for yarn shops when we travel because I'm a knitter and it's the perfect souvenir! I saw Knit and Stitch here on Yelp and decided to check it out. There was a pretty big group of ladies sitting around a table knitting/crocheting when I entered, and the space in the shop isn't huge. However, many of the women spoke to and interacted with me and were incredibly friendly! I've been to other shops where I don't necessarily feel uncomfortable, but maybe a little out of place because there is a group of women working on projects together who don't really acknowledge me. Here I felt like everyone was friendly and engaging and 2 of the ladies who worked there were very helpful- offering info about their yarns, etc. I would easily say this shop is among the best I've been to in regards to customer service and comfort level. If you're looking for a cute shop with a good yarn selection and friendly atmosphere then I would highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Over the last few years, I visited the shop less frequently. The cramped, tight space made me uncomfortable and made shopping difficult. Having received a gift certificate for Christmas, I decided to break my 18-month hiatus and stop by today. What a difference! The improvements to the physical space made it feel like a whole new shop. Much more open, organized, uncluttered. For the first time in years, I truly enjoyed looking around without feeling anxious and overwhelmed. This is exactly what every community wants in its LYS. An absolutely wonderful local yarn shop - even if one is only "local" once a year or so or from far away. It is said that you are never a stranger in a yarn shop and that is so incredibly true about this gem of a yarn shop! The folks are friendly, welcoming, helpful, interesting and interested and made me feel right at home even after an absence of two years between visits. And their selection of yarn is first rate!
