We bought a nice fabric couch for $699 plus $99.95 delivery charge and taxes, handed down 9 x hundred dollar bills cash, and got back ~$50, with a delivery date of October 2nd. But we discovered the actual price on the receipt was $100 less, so the cashier, AKA, Lori the owner, pocketed $100 dollars. Unfortunately, it was too late, as we found it out when we got home. We returned almost a month later, and of course our money is lost. Lori the owner excuse? She has been doing this for more than 30 years, she knows what she's doing, and she doesn't need $100. Yeah, right? A superior being? Working retail? Nope. Like everyone else, that's exactly the reason why she is working, because she needs the money. We complained about the failed delivery date, and she explained that they will deliver the couch by the end of November now, because some mysterious reason of the economy in the United States. This came as a surprise, because we didn't get any breaks or deals as customers when we paid cash, and the promised to deliver the couch October 2nd. Apparently, the economy was not that bad a month ago? But now, when she has the money on her side, Home Furniture & More is suffering a lot from the bad economy and that is also affecting the delivery dates. I guess the "MORE" part in this business' name, is that the customer will have to pay more, wait more for the delivery, and endure more bad service than everywhere else. Do yourself a favor, and carve some nice recliners from cardboard before ever thinking of going there.

Animal charities are among my favorite organizations to support, so I made a point of stopping by this thrift store during a recent visit to Titusville. The SPCA also operates a second thrift store in Melbourne. The store offers a large selection of gently used merchandise which includes clothing, shoes, accessories, furniture, DVDs, toys, books, home décor, electronics, and kitchenware. I appreciated that each department was clearly marked with overhead signs, making it easy to find what I was looking for. I also liked that the electronics were labeled as having been tested before being offered for sale. While the selection and prices were both good, the store could benefit from a little more organization, merchandising, and general cleaning to create a more inviting shopping experience. In a few areas, merchandise was sitting on the floor, making the space feel somewhat cluttered. Despite those minor issues, I enjoyed my visit. The prices are reasonable, the inventory is varied, and most importantly, every purchase helps support a wonderful organization that gives homeless animals a second chance. That's a cause I will always support.

The people there - staff and customers alike - were so kind. The man in front of me even paid for my items because he saw the LSAT study book I found and wished me good luck! This store does have a card minimum of $10 to keep in mind when you're browsing. There were a few shoppers that were disappointed when they reached the front of the line with a $3 purchase and no cash. The staff also said they prefer not to just round these small purchases up, even under the guise of a donation. The areas that stuck out the most were the many shoe racks and the children's section. There was also specific shelves for glassware, books, clothing, furniture, electronics, luggage, and miscellaneous.
