This is the real life version of a fun nintendo game called mario striker because you can play the player not the ball. So hit as many people as you like going for the ball. There will be no girlie man type dramatic Derek Fisher flops in this game. If you want to see a grown man fake pain watch soccer but if you want to knock people out in a hilarious and semi safe fashion play bubble soccer. A group of friends gathered in Irvine with a Groupon deal. We are all newbies but there was a lot of knocking people over and some occasional scoring. I tried very hard to only hit guys my size because I didn't want to be the one knocking over girls half my size. It was a lot of fun but by 4th quarter the gloves were off and everyone started a hitting frenzy. I say this sport is semi safe because I did manage to get injured. I planted my knee wrong when trying to change directions and I yelled ouch. I tried to walk it off and got a nice love tap and fell on the ground for a good minute. I had my Dark Knight moment when I decided to rise one last time with only minutes to go in the game. I wasn't able to score but I had fun. Next time I should remember to stretch. I had a blast!

I looked at reviews here on Yelp and Super Spherical Soccer was 5 stars, so I reached out. Edmund, who runs the business, was friendly, professional and quite easy to deal with. We set up a time and a place, and he arrived early, got things set up, and then repped the games that the kiddos played. They all had so much fun! The kids also spent some non game time bumping into each other and rolling each other around. There were even a few game rounds where the parents played too. Young and old all had a blast! Such a FUN EXPERIENCE playing bubble soccer with some of my favorite buddies for my bachelor's…read moreparty. Our group reserved and permitted a field at the park in Liberty Station with the City. We opted for 90 minutes. Each match lasts five minutes long. However, that five minutes feels like a ten. In between, you can take as much breaks as you want. I think we played approximately six matches, and we were all ready to call it quits at the end. The bubble soccer is heavier than it looks. There is only way to put it on and running around with these can be extremely tiring. I HIGHLY SUGGEST bringing GLOVES to prevent burns on your knuckles. When you get knocked out, the impact of the inner wall rubs against your skin and multiple hits can lead to skin scrape. We played with a large and regular soccer balls. Scoring was easier with the normal sized ball. The goal post is similar to kiddie goal posts, so you cannot hit it high or wide angles. I highly recommend this experience with a large group.

We had a group event set up on a field in the Clairemont area. I've seen photos of bubble soccer…read morebefore but had never tried it so the experience was new for me. There were enough bubbles to play five-on-five so we rotated people with two sitting out each game. The "referee" went over the rules and brought three different sizes of soccer balls. It was the red team vs the blue team so off we went with a large inflatable sack ball. I wore workout pants for the games because I didn't want to scrape up my knees when I tumbled on the grass (which happened three times). I quickly found out that even on a 70 degree day, you get hot and sweaty really fast inside one of these bubbles. They acted like a heat sink with the way the bubble absorbed the sunlight. I did bring a water bottle but forgot to bring a sweat towel which I really needed. Every time two goals were scored, we all took a break in the shade. I think our group ended up playing five games over the rental time of one hour. I would highly recommend bubble soccer for a team building activity or a birthday party celebration. The optimal time of the year would be during the winter season in SD as one can get dehydrated and tired rapidly if you play in warm weather.

We had THE BEST time. I am a researcher and Orbit blew us away not only aesthetically but was very easy and was the cheapest compared to other companies. Weddings are already expensive as is and their pricing is bar far the best. We chose a big-ish park and we thought it would be hard to find a few inflatables and a soccer ball. They are much much more than that. The set up of the field already set expectations high and they brought their game! We used the full 1 and a half hours and I asked the coordinator if we could add on more time, he said yes so we did for $50. So even though they advertise no add ons, it's only time you can add on. I asked for any upgrades (to test this) and they don't have any, every package comes with all the nuts and bolts the only thing you change and pay for is time! I'm recommending to everyone, they took in game pics and sent them to us! Definitely one for not only the books but the wedding book for sure

After searching I landed on Orbit Soccer…read more I was surprised at how easy it was to book and plan the location (which I figured would be a pain). Almost too good to be true. They have a great field with flags, cones and everything seems to be high quality and branded well. Our event coordinator, Chase, was great and had the field set up before we even got there. He was energized and funny as he picked up on all of our humor. The gameplay was very fun and exhausting, it's a great workout, which I wasn't expecting. The game modes had us busy for the full 2 hours. Some friends switched in and out too as again, it's a workout and they didn't charge extra. Highly recommend and will book them in the future for sure.
