All of a sudden all the power is turned off and the babysitter goes outside only saying I don't like this I am shutting it down. He decided to call the cops and have us thrown out. They did not like the type of people that were there, not only did I rent music equipment and food catering. I had purchased a ton of decorations. The venue is next door to Usana amphitheater and Foreigner was playing with a pretty big crowd. The married couple were fans of the band so they thought that was cool. Two of the bands members were playing golf 15 minutes before they went on stage and I had a chance to talk with them for a minute as they finished. We had worried about traffic but things went smooth for everyone coming. The staff here was so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Anything we asked for or had questions about were answered quickly and professionally. Guests marveled at the view and were impressed with the buffet and setup of the venue. Really we couldn't have asked for more. Special thanks to Jeremy for getting things planned with us and following through on everything (it was their busiest weekend). Charisse was incredible to work with and made the night unforgettable with her suggestions and help. The bartender was great and many commented on her fun and happy attitude. The whole staff is to be commended. If you're thinking of booking do not hesitate and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

It makes an evening wedding so gorgeous here and vey little additional decorating needed, if any! They also let us use a room in the back as an area for kids to relax and play. There was a couch and a TV to keep them occupied. The hosts were very nice and didn't intrude. They just kind of hovered around in case anyone needed something.

This old building has been totally and sleekly remodeled with homage to the past that respects the amazing bones of the building. One of my favorite buildings in the city. Perhaps my favorite part of the building is the rough hewn timber columns and joists that serve as the raw skeleton. Plenty of exposed brick walls also abound, and I'm completely charmed by the old spiral slide that used to shuttle manufactured goods from the upper floors all the way down. It's been preserved and gives incredible character to the space for weddings, parties, fundraisers and more. This is all coming from the point of view of an attendee; to date I've never worked with the fine folks behind the building and have only attended events in the space. They host some pretty remarkable events, so I've got to think they're on top of things. When they're not hosting events (and even when they are), the building is home to all kinds of offices from the tech to the more mundane. There's lots of parking on the north side of the building, which empties out rapidly at the end of business hours. The south side of the building is now nearly kissing a new bridge for Trax, so it's best to just turn in from the north and you can find parking further north or east. I always look forward to events at the SL Hardware Building. It's classy but still casual, convenient, and a stellar spot in SLC. Kudos to those who made the expensive decision to spruce it back up and honor the past. Well done!

Because of the pandemic Isabella's decided to offer precooked meals for pick up twice a week. Tuesday and Friday's. Menu changes for each day. After watching videos of the Menu's being offered, I decided to give Isabella's a try. Food pickup is at their office which is located in a strip mall (in the corner) in West Jordan which is close to the West Joran InstaCare right on 90th South. When I first entered, I didn't see that this is an actual kitchen, but a place where the food is assembled, and then picked up. I noticed that they have upright fridges, with the food that was ordered for that day, all ready packaged and ready to go. You just give them your name, and they help you out with it. You will want to take advantage of this service as the portions are large. I ordered the /2 size vs. the full size which is enough to feed 4 adults. The quantity was impressive, but the taste was meh. You could tell the corn came out of can, and the salad tasted like the salad that you get in plastic bags at the store. You know the kind that has a chemical smell to it. The rolls were not homemade. The mashed potatoes were good, but I didn't care of the meatloaf it had a chewy, not quite done texture ,and the gravy tasted like it was the instant package kind. Needless to say I was really let down, and I was looking forward to enjoying a really good "home cooked meal" This wasn't it. Isabella's would be a good grab and go, if you were in a hurry, and just want something other than greasy fast food restaurants, but didn't impress me enough to continue ordering weekly. Oh, I'm pretty sure this location doesn't allow alcohol, so be aware of that if you are needing a venue that allows alcohol.
