I got a couple tattoos here when I was young and dumb. I was looking for a water color style and got some sea turtles on my arm. At first the colors were. Vivid but it sledding stay looking good and I got it covered up. Another one was a really poorly done mermaid that I also had covered up. And really dumb... my ex's name. I had it lasered. The quality is just poor... but it's also cheap. So I imagine they attract young people who don't know better and then have many regrets later. I was one of them. read more

Ask for Duran when you go here. The guy does an incredible job at piercing! I came here because RAW body piercing shop is not open on Mondays and RAW was the one that pierced my nose a little over a month ago. The post fell out on Sunday night. I visited knottyheadz and Duran helped repierce my nose. He saw the original jewelry that was in my nose from RAW and really gave me the low down on why it failed to stay in place. He used a pig tail nose stud instead of inserting a post. I prefer a pigtail type anyway because when I want to remove it after it is healed and change it out, it won't be such a hassle. If you want your piercing done right and with the right jewelry, ask for Duran. The shop is also implementing covid distancing rules and I appreciate that. read more

Saturday 7-8-23 My daughter and I went to get conch piercings. Well, the employee piercing us had no clue what he was doing. My ear had 1 hole and my daughters ear had 2 holes. He went through the inside cartlidge rim through her ear to outside of the ear lobe. He used the wrong hardware (a curved bar) and it was cheap jewelry. She couldn't even turn it because it was so short. Within 24 hours both of our ears were infected and we had to pay someone else to remove the piercings. Needless to say, we will NEVER recommend this business! They do not need to be in the piercing business at all! 1 star is too much! read more

Do not ever go here!! 10$ piercing may look good but they do a extremely poor job. One week after my piercing it was so bad I decided to get it checked on by another reputable shop. They were able to tell me about 5 different practices done wrong when piercing my ear. The end had gotten engulfed into my ear since it was on too tight and not ready for any swelling. I had to get surgery and get my ear literally ripped apart to get it out. Just go to a place that is more expensive! It may be 10$ but try adding on a hospital bill. read more

The $10 for a piercing on Tuesdays IS too good to be true! I got my septum pierced here about ten months ago im October. The business is in a tiny trailer in a pretty sketch part of town, and the "waiting room" could barely hold my friend, another person getting pierced and I. The whole process was extremely fast, which was pretty good, but I'm not sure about how well the piercing was done. It hurt REALLY bad when I got it, and septums aren't supposed to hurt all that much, and it still hurts if I even bump it. It's also pretty crooked. i went in on Sunday to get my lobes repierced, it was hot as hell and there was no where to sit while waiting which okay was whatever...got my piercings quick and easy for $30. sunday and monday my piercings looked good, but come wednesday and thursday my piercing became embedded into my ear. had i waited a few more days the skin would've gone over my piercing and i would've had to gone to the ER...DO NOT GO HERE! the guy piercing isn't even a piercer he's a tattoo artist so he has no idea what the hell he's doing and it shows! if you want a good piercing place go down the road and go to perception studios!!! they are a black female owned business and talk you through every single thing they do and the environment is so welcoming and amazing! i went there to get my piercing removed and im so glad i went there instead of going back to knotty headz and i can't wait to return in a month to get my piercing done. below are pictures of my ears starting from the first day i got it to only 4 days later read more

If possible I would give ZERO stars. I walked in with two friends and immediately noticed the employees were high. Not to mention they were ordering Chinese before attempting to help us. My two friends already knew what piercing they wanted so they began filling out paperwork. I was contemplating getting a particular piercing redone for the third time, but wanted to speak to the piercer about it first as I wasn't sure if scar tissue would affect the outcome. I didn't want to interrupt him until he was done with his current customer. When he finished, I told him I wanted to get something as well. As he was looking at my friends waivers, he then said "I asked you like three times before, but okay" ... which he never asked once what I wanted as my friends immediately knew what they wanted as soon as they walked in and i was still deciding. I'm not sure why he felt compelled to respond rude when the waiver would have takin 2 minutes to fill out while my friends were being helped And he never ONCE asked me what I wanted. I'm sure the weed impacted his judgement on that one. Needless to say, 3 potential clients left due to second guessing the employees judgment from being high as well as terrible character. No wonder they were the cheapest in Columbia, their customer service definitely explained why. read more

This may be an ok place for a tattoo, however I should have been patient to wait to get my dermals done by my regular piercer. You live and learn. I waited a long time in the "too small for a business" waiting room, standing the whole time, trying to pass the time looking at their small selection of jewelry. The piercer kept coming in one door and going into another door, he did this several times. After a 45 minute wait, I told him I wanted 2 dermal anchors on my chest..he replied, "sure, not a problem." Needless to say, that is all I've had with my piercings since then, PROBLEMS. I have SEVERAL professionally done piercings and i do take the aftercare very seriously, i follow cleanliness and aftercare instructions TO THE LETTER each and every time i get a new one. They are currently rejecting BECAUSE, after seeing 2 other piercers for second opinions, this is happening because THEY WERE PIERCED TOO SHALLOWLY UNDER MY SKIN. I should have known something was up when the guy too so long to do them. They are even CROOKED, was suppose to be one directly below the other...not even close. He nicely said "everything is fine." Far be it from fine. I was also bruised for 2 weeks afterwards, huge bruises! I expected bruising, but not this intense... This is my experience with this particular guy at the Decker Road location, although he was super nice, and the other piercers may be good, I will NEVER go back again. read more

I went in a few months ago to get my industrial pierced for the second time. The first time my ear rejected the piercing because it was done wrong at a different tattoo shop (guy used an 18g needle and then pushed the 16g through) the guy who did my industrial was great. It didn't hurt and he placed it correctly and it's almost fully healed :) read more

I would NOT recommend this place. First I called to ask prices and the guy on the phone was rude AF and hung up on me mid sentence. When you walk in it smells like pure weed in there. It's a small space with very little ventilation. They guy that was there has ZERO customer service he was very rude and doesn't make you feel comfortable at all! I came in to get my nipple piercing removed. First of all it smelled like a pound of marijuana and you didn't feel welcomed. The guy had on gloves and just started twisting the piercing which was painful. He then told me he didn't have all day so yes I left. Granted I know he has a job to do but he didn't care to do it with ease especially with blood oozing out of it. I did get my money back which I didn't care but I took my money elsewhere which was actually free for a piercing removal and very professional! I came in on Saturday to verify pricing on the piercings I was going to get and was informed that they do 1/2 off on Tuesdays, so I decided it would be best to wait considering the amount of money I was going to be spending here and that I was buying a piercing for three other people as well. Today, Tuesday December 2nd 2014 I came in to get the piercings and was expecting to spend over $130 until all of a sudden getting my ears pierced at the gauge we discussed on Saturday totaled $95 by itself (Both ears would have been $120 or $60 a piece on a normal day). One of the owners was the one who gave me the information on Saturday, double checked what I wrote down and even made sure to write HALF OFF DAY on the note, but then today decided to say that it's incorrect and the price isn't changing and had a slight attitude about it even though I had the same sheet of paper from Saturday with her hand writing. My piercer was AMAZING and I love my Vertical Tragus, so I give you mad thanks. Unfortunately, I don't feel like I'll be bringing my business back to Knotty Headz or recommending this shop again due to the clear lack of honesty to what even management tells their clients. read more
