I got a tattoo here back in December 2015 and it was the worst. I showed the guy what I wanted and he made it seem like he can make it exactly like that. The tattoo came out horrible and very dark to where the tattoo is completely black now and bled through so much. He packed so much black into the clock I wanted that you can't even see the Roman numerals now. What a complete waste of money and my tattoo looks like trash. The guy was such a jerk about it when I confronted him at the end of the tattoo. I told him it doesn't look like what I wanted and he completely dismissed me and so I left. Nice people but my tattoo was crooked...... it felt rushed and wasn't exactly what I envisioned. I'm still happy w it but it's definetly not straight. It's clearly angled to the upper right corner of my sternum rather than being evenly placed in the middle. read more

Great experience for my first tattoo in SC! My previous tattoos were done in Indiana, and i was very nervous find a tattoo artist after moving to South Carolina. Copper Finch Tattoo made the experience simple and easy. I was able to get an appointment for a tattoo the same day that I emailed. Shane did a great job and was very personable. What a great shop with awesome artists and professional attitudes. I was greeted at the door with a rundown of rules / temperature check due to COVID-19 to keep others inside safe. Then I was asked to use the sanitizer station before and after filling out required paperwork. I was in the chair discussing my tattoo with the artist by my appointment time. The artist worked diligently on my tattoo with great attention to detail.... I walked out of the shop a happy camper and charged the hourly rate that was discussed.... we have a lot of talent in Columbia South Carolina and I would say this is one of the top shops in town. I will be back for more work!!! I'm seeing negative reports of over charging on there work. I guess you get what you pay for? A cheep tattoo isn't any good & a good tattoo isn't cheep. read more

I will never get over the fact that these deceitful as mother fuckers charged me $300 for this snake tattoo! Seriously!? They knew I didn't know the prices for tattoos because it was my FIRST! Service was ridiculously terrible, the man was not so polite. Believe it or not, while having a conversation with another employer, the guy who did my tattoo said he intentionally messed up somebody's tattoo cause he didn't like them or something. I swear to God y'all. That is a whole nother lever of fucked up. Tattoos can't be erased and to purposefully make a mistake on somebody tattoo!? That's a whole nother level of petty. Please do not go here. There are plenty of other shops that are far better and won't cheat you. I'm only writing this review because my friend recently went her and she got fucked over too. I never thought I would get a tattoo from a local shop (I was simply used to what I was used to). Then I spent over a year researching shops. Luckily I happened upon Copper Finch. The shop itself is appealing to the eyes. It is extremely clean and well decorated. The people here are all friendly and professional. I had Scott to work on a 3 tattoo cover up and poor thing, I didn't give him a lot to go on. But he took his time and came up with the most beautiful design imaginable. He was a pleasure to work with. It is outstanding! I love love love my tattoo. I highly suggest you make an appointment with any of the people at Copper Finch. I got a pheonix done on my hand/forearm. I was extremely overcharge. I paid $450 for an overworked piece that has scarring. Please dont go to this shop. Check pricing elsewhere and dont get ripped off like I did!! read more

If I could not give them any stars then I would, so here's my spiel. I went in January 13 to have Kenny draw up my tattoo, and we planned on meeting again a week later to see what he's drawn up. Now provided that I gave them a 60 dollar deposit that'll eventually go towards my tattoo. But that's besides the point. I went back in a week later to touch base with Kenny, and he had informed me that he got an important phone call the week I first went in to give him my idea. I get it family comes first but don't leave your clients waiting let alone not communicate with them. But has yet to draw anything up. So as you can see I'm very angry with Kenny not touching base and letting me know : hey I'll give you your money back I'll let you know when I'm back in the office. But on another note I spoke to the owner of the business and he wanted to tell me that Kenny will get back to me that he hasn't forgotten about me... But if you're in a business and you're trying to make business base on clientele then do what's best to keep them not push them away.. So today is February 7 and yet to have heard anything back from Kenny or the owner.. read more

Deserves no stars. I went on Friday, Sept 16 and spoke to Eddie. Told him what I wanted to have done. He said no problem, he had 5 dates I could choose from that he could do the tattoo. Told me to email him all the information and he would have a drawing 3-4 days before the date of the tattoo. Gave him a $60 deposit. Sent him all the info that day and both agreed I would have the tattoo done on the 24th. On Thursday the 22nd, I stopped by the shop at night because I hadn't heard anything. Eddie said he hadn't had time to draw it, that I will receive the drawing by email that night. I finally got the "drawing" Friday night at 7:30. The drawing was pictures pulled off the Internet and photoshopped together. If he wasn't interested in doing the tattoo the least he could have done was just tell me. If he was that busy, why would he have 5 open days to tattoo? Needless to say, Saturday comes and I don't go to the appointment. I haven't received any communication since the email of the "Drawing". read more
