Ty did my post opp lymphatic drainage. Her shop is clean and nicely decorated. She filled any gaps in information that I didn't receive from my own doctor and set my mind at ease with some of the things I should expect with my healing process. I was in dire need of brow rehab and Ms. Tyler fit me into her schedule right away. Her suite is so clean and stylish I honestly wanted to stay a bit longer because it really felt like a day spa. I was definitely not satisfied. I was one week post op and she tried to tell me that I only needed to have post of massages once a week when in fact all surgeons will tell you that you need to have massages 2-3 times a week. Then at my appointment she did nothing but critique all the bad things she felt was wrong with my surgery and surgeon like we were friends or something. Knova Dream Spa is new and located in Livermore in Phenix Salons, similar to Sola where there are multiple salons, spas, nail spa's in the same building. Kinda like an apartment building but spaces are rented by stylists, cosmetologists, manicurists, etc. I found Ty by purchasing a Groupon which I'm weary of buying, that fine print can be misleading! But that's another rant.. I figure, if anything, I would get waxing services for a discounted price vs paying full. I'm so glad I didn't let my hesitations get the best of me! Ty was professsional, super friendly, quick and efficient. She offers both strip and cold wax, I prefer cold and only go to places that offer it. She's a great conversationalist and makes you feel really comfortable, key since depending what kind of wax you're getting, it can be awkward.. Luckily I'm not a hairy person in general and only wax one area routinely. I prefer threading for my eyebrows and have laser hair removed everything else ;) Ty waxes you with some miracle wax that keeps you smoother for longer. I typically see "stubble" in 1 1/2-2 weeks but my first time being waxed by her I was smooth for 2.5 weeks plus! She's super thorough. I love that she likes to build relationships with her clients and remembers who you are, even what the last conversation was about from 2 months prior! Her space is small and cozy with cute decor. Pretty easy to find within the building, there's a receptionist if you lose your way. Plenty of parking as the spa is located in a retail shopping center with Target, TJ maxx, Ross, & Sally Beauty to name a few. Booking an appointment was super easy and she's flexible if you wanted to schedule an appt later than what's on the booking site. I started coming to Ty when I was only 2 days post op 360 lipo/fat transfer to hips. I'm not gonna lie the massages those first few days were so painful but it's to be expected. Ty got all the fluid out and explained some post op care things I didn't know. I'm exactly 2 weeks today and healing beautifully thanks to Ty. It's always gonna be awkward having to be naked in front of a stranger, but Ty made me feel super comfortable and as relaxed as I could be. Her schedule is a little tricky cause she doesn't do evenings but she's really good at accommodating to make sure you are getting your post surgical care that is 100% needed. If you want the results you gotta take your after care seriously. She is also very thorough with disinfecting her studio in between clients which is super important! Another thing I just found out at my massage yesterday is she literally carries anything post op you need foams, boards, fajas etc. highly recommend! read more
