Hard to believe i haven't reviewed sooner as I have been seeing Kelly steadily since I believe August 2021. As I am getting older I am trying to take better care of my skin and Kelly has been instrumental in keeping me on track. I found her through a google search and had emailed for appointment request. She is booked out quiet a while but I had patience and it paid off. I see Kelly every 6-8 weeks for a facial. Her salon is cozy and inviting, cooler months the bed is heated. Kelly takes her time and reviews what I am using and what if any problems I am having to create services to meet my needs. I would probably be up for anything but Kelly doesn't push un-needed services or products on me. I love the raspberry refining scrub (by Skin Script,) I picked up in the salon. Can't say what their service is like.. I moved to Livermore just about two months now and I have been searching for a facial salon since then. Ofcourse,, one would find them through a great review on Yelp. However, after me making a couple of phone calls and leaving voice messages in an attempt to get a consult and a potential appointment, the owner very sophisticatedly washed themselves off of me, by sending a text message, saying, they have no availability until November. Fremont has been home from about 20 years and moving to Livermore, I'm finding out that people are quite rude. read more

I called to set up an appointment with Kelly after searching through YELP for a new establishment/person to go to for waxing. The first appointment I made, I had to cancel due to moving my flight out of town to an earlier time. I called and left a message and received a call back to reschedule. Everything seemed great. I even received an automated text confirming my appointment which I liked! DAY OF NEW APPOINTMENT: I gave myself enough time to arrive 10mins early to look for Kelly's space and parking. Just something I do when I'm going somewhere new. After 5mins of searching for parking on the street, I walked to where the directions on YELP sent me. It seemed to be a whole other establishment. No signs anywhere that said SKIN Philosophy by Kelly or anything that said SOLA SALONS. I called and it went straight to voicemail. I figured that she might still be with another client. I waited a few mins to call again. Still no answer and straight to VM. Left a message saying that I was there (where the directions sent me and kept saying arrived) and to please call me back. No call back so I left. I ended up receiving an automated text 15mins later saying my appointment was marked as a NO SHOW with Kelly. Was really hoping for great service, but instead had my time wasted. read more

I was in Roseville for a few months and was in need of a local waxing salon. I researched several different places and all of them had horror story experiences in their reviews. Except Skin Philosophy by Kelly. Her previous customers were all quite pleased so I went in. This was my first brazilian wax. Kelly was extremely professional. She talked me through each step and what she was doing when. I was also surprised at how the level of pain. It was easily manageable, and much lower than I'd expected. She uses two different types of wax to truly get all the hair. I was completely pleased. The room is very soothing and Kelly is extremely skilled. I have since gone back multiple times and every time had a great experience. I would recommend her to anyone! read more

Kelly is a true professional, and very talented in her work. I asked Kelly to do make-up for my wedding, and from day one she asked great questions and made me feel comfortable and confident. I got married on the beach, so hair and make-up were concerns for me. Also, I don't usually wear a lot of make-up, so I didn't have a clear idea of what I really wanted - but Kelly was able to educate me and show me different styles. We did a trial run - and Kelly was super patient with me. She showed me some new things, and gave me lots of options that would compliment my features. I even wore false lashes for the first time, and I was very happy with the outcome. I took engagement photos on that day, and it was perfect. On the 'Big Day' - Kelly was amazing, and she added a bit more color to my eyes. She has a very calming presence, had me take a deep breath a few times as she could sense my nerves. We had fun, and in the end I was SO extremely happy with my make-up. It lasted all day (first look pictures) and all night - and after the wedding friends kept commenting that I looked great, and still looked like me, which I was very thankful for. My daughter has had terrible acne since she became a teen a few years ago. She has tried every product out there and nothing has helped her. In fact many products made the acne worse. We were referred to Kelly and as a parent I was skeptical that she would be able to help her. We even considered going to a skin doctor but many of my daughter's friends spent hundreds of dollars on prescriptions that were harsh on the skin and had side effects and did not even end up working. On our first visit to Kelly she not only spent time talking with my daughter and assessing her skin, but also was very frank about the process. She said it was not an overnight miracle and that we might have to tweak the products and treatment. I really appreciated that she did not over promise the results to my already disappointed teen who had tried so many products without results and whose self esteem was low. After just one week we could already see results. My daughter was put on a dairy free diet in addition to the skin care products, and she was diligent in doing the regimen. Over the next few weeks and months her skin began clearing up and it has been almost a year now. The only time she has minimal skin problems now is if she indulges in dairy. Kelly has made a big difference in my daughter's life, and in turn in mine. And as a plus she is wonderful and sweet with kids and we would highly recommend her to everyone. read more

Kelly is great. She really educates you on the importance of skin cancer and sun burns. Kelly can spray tan you to give you that summer time glow without the danger of skin cancer. I figure Kelly's SPRAY TAN its cheaper than buying all the suntan oils, paying to get in to the lake and taking time of work just to laying in the sun. I read all of these reviews before going in. By those reviews, I thought this would be a better experience. The tech was very unprofessional and even had a guy knock on the door to speak to her during my session. I don't know what it was about but it seemed like a jilted boyfriend or something of that sort. I felt like an imposition instead of a paying customer.
