I got my belly button done here and it was red from basically the next day after getting it done. I thought it was just normal irritation, but the infection just started getting worse and worse. Eventually, 2 large lumps formed on either side of the jewelry. A year later, after many methods of trying to get rid of it, the infection has not gone away. I had to take it out and now have keloids where the piercing was. Definitely do not recommend. If you need a piercer in this area go to Exotic Body Piercing on route 88- they are super nice and I've gotten 3 successful piercings from them. read more

My friend and I both got cartilage piercings done. for my friend, it was her first one and for me it was my third. the guy who did it was a little rude to us, and even though i had gotten mine done before, this one made me even more nervous. he kept poking me with the needle trying to align it before telling me to breathe. maybe price points are different, but i paid a total of $60 to get two cartilage done at a different place but here i paid $58 for one stud and a package that contains a seasalt spray? those are the only problems i had. other than that, the place was clean and nice. read more

I had just moved to NJ and thought this place looked professional. My tattoo was rushed after I waited 5 hours for the "artist" to arrive, hungover. Didn't do a very good job. I had to have it touched up by a reputable shop. A little pricey compared to other shops. Piercing is easy anywhere, so this place is no different with that. The jewelry is very overpriced, but you'll have that at most places. If you go online you can get the same body jewelry they sell for $40 for around $5. No joke. Very clean and a nice looking shop. Lots of stock tattoo drawings for ideas. My friend got a good tattoo there, and the artist was quite talented. He was a really cool and friendly guy, and even let me watch. He showed us some of his art work and almost had me in the chair next. If it wasn't for my previous experience, and the fact that I found a five star shop in Neptune, I'd give it a higher rating. I hear a lot of mixed reviews about this place to this day. From other posts on here, it seems like they might be addressing these issues. Worth a try, but if you want perfection on your body, since a tat is for life, check out your artist's accomplished work, or go to someplace with better ratings. read more

Horrible horrible people. Their piercer messed up my nose stud. hard. Got infected, Half way sinking into my nose. Like my stud is gone, in my nose, extremely pain won't come out. Extremely worried I called up. The piercer is out for 4 weeks apparently, so she called him and let him no my situation. Apparently infection and my stud being lodged into my nose with the hole healing over it is "normal". 2 other professional piercers who I should have gone to in the first place said this is completely the fault of the piercer. One, you should always get a ring when getting it pierced for it has lower risk of infection and this sinking problem, but most places make you get studs because it cost YOU wayyy more money. So bottom line is she called me back. Basically told me it's my fault and I don't know how to take care of the wound and that it's all my problem. (I'm a registered nurse dealing with this is cake. She then proceeded to try as hard as she could to just get me off the phone. She was extremely rude. After telling me multiple time that she is not the piercer and has no idea what to do, but in the same breath has the nurve to tell me she knows better and can tell I that I apparently caused this on my own . Owner got on the phone and was also basically rude. He did nothing but help but decided to just laugh at for being worried about the infection in my nose. The situation was still not solved. I have zero idea what to do now.... Word of advice, go to exotica is Pt. Pleasant instead. Way nice, way more professional. They were the only place that actually helped me. read more

Waited over 2 hours to get my ears pierced - a simple second hole. It took another 45 minutes for the piercing and the employee acted very strange. Even after his telling us the extremes they go through being precise and the measurements and markings etc etc the result - uneven spacing. One ear the earrings too close and the other too far away! I would not reccomend. They pierced my nose too far back and after it healed I tried putting a hoop in it... It wouldn't fit all the way around because it was pierced waaaay too far back. Went in to get my conch piercing changed and Braxton was awesome! He spent a lot of time explaining things to me and making me feel comfortable. Unfortunately my piercing was infected due to carelessness from another piercer but Braxton gave me instructions on how to care for it and recommended I come back in to have it checked in 2 weeks. Went in 10 months ago for a double helix. I was charged $110 and gave a great tip, no major pain during process so I went on with my day. Few months later I had bumps, an infection and pain. The earrings came off overnight and to put it back on was hell bc it seemed the hole was closing. I got it done at this shop bc of the great reviews and the fact they use needles. Well, it's been over 10 months, I just took off the earrings bc they were hurting and as I was putting it back in it started bleeding. I have a black mark and the 2 piercings are soooooo close to each other it's hard to tell one hole from the next. I'm leaving it off and letting them close. Shockingly, I went abroad and got a tragus and 2 lobe piercings with a gun (after seeing how great my friend's had healed and looked) and it was $200 pesos or about $5 dollars including earrings and they healed in 3 months. I know lobes are easier but tragus are not. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

Took my little sister here for her first tattoo and we had an amazing experience. Paul was our artist, we had to wait a little while due to the fact that we were scheduled right after he had been working on a four hour piece which understandably ran over, but we more felt bad for him that he had another appointment so soon after than upset about the wait. He was one of the best tattoo artists I've ever encountered, personality wise and artistry. You could tell he really new what he was doing and that he does it well. We both got matching font tattoos and I loved that he made sure to do each word in one motion instead of stopping after each letter, which some artists do which I feel leaves more room for blowout or error. Both tattoos took under ten minutes each for him to finish! Granted they were each only four words but I've had even smaller tattoos done that took even longer. He was incredibly sweet and personable while we were with him and it was one of the most reasonably priced tattoos I've received. Will definitely be looking into receiving more tats from Paul! read more

ASK FOR BRAXTON! He did an amazing job repiercing a back dermal for me that had alot of scar tissue that he was able to remove and make look perfect. There was no pain at all with his guidance. I feel I was overcharged. I was quoted "about $125" by two different employees and ended up paying $200. I was given a same day appointment as they seemed to have an opening. I brought in my own design/drawing. All that needed to be done was for them to transfer it to the tracing paper. There was no designing on their end at all. I waited approximately 30 minutes past the appointment time, which I didn't have a problem with but when I questioned the price I was told well it's $125 and hour. I ended up swallowing the piercings and wasting my money and time . When I called the dude seemed high as hell. The establishment is clean and friendly; it is a corporate company. You are better off supporting a local private tattoo place. I am very disappointed with my final product. I will not mention the artist, but I feel he didn't treat my tattoo as important. He had my drawing for well over a week and only took minimal time completing it. I was prepared to paid more money for a better tat. I believe he could have done better job as I seen in his book, but just didn't care too. Perhaps because I am not fully tatted he though I wouldn't notice ( it actually stands out worse, sitting next to an awesome tat I got out of state). Bad Vision Tattoo because they double book people and don't give a crap. Booked my appt 2 weeks ago then when I went there was told I wasn't put in the system, but my paper work was in the folder. Nobody checks what's going on for the day? The lady next to me said she had the same time appt with the same artist. She then told me they did that to her son the previous week. I'm sorry but as the kid told me they deal with over 200 people a day mistakes happen and it obviously wasn't him because he's perfect.. Well, there were only 3 people in there when I booked the appt. If that were my business and if that's the volume of people they see a day I would have a more professional staff instead of a bunch of young kids that probably don't give a shit about there job. Then again what does 200 people have to do with me as 1 person you were taking care of. They sure didn't have a problem taking my deposit though. He said we can book you for another day WHAT?? Why would I they would probably do the same thing again. Then he said there's other tattoo parlors out there to go to WHAT?? Is that what they tell them to say? I had been there like a year ago to have my nose pierced, and I loved it, but one day I took it out and it closed up and I forgot about it. A few days ago, I went back to get my nose re pierced. I asked to have it pierced over the old scar, but he said it would stick out too much there. I wondered what he meant. but then he pulled out a ring and showed me where it would compliment my face, and he was right, so he pierced it there. He did it quickly and straight. He was very clean, he even changed his gloves a second time because some of my makeup got on them and he didn't want to cause infection. Very thorough with the instructions. He even said that he would change it to a ring for me in a few months if it's fully healed. I don't remember his name, but he had snakebites and dreads. Very clean and nicely decorated. Also very nice staff; one of the members let me and my mom through the back door so we wouldn't have to walk all the way around because it was freezing.
