My children, now 7 and 3 have experienced countless benefits from the Westmont environment and I feel so strongly about the community, teachers, administration and leadership that I was driven to action to post my very first YELP review to say as much. Westmont has each and every student's best interest at heart and I have seen that demonstrated over the course of my last 3+ years affiliated with the school. The academics and social/emotional curriculum is second to none. The community we entered has provided lasting friendships for my children and my spouse and I that have become our foundational friends in this community of Chester/Mendham that was new to us. We started in the infant room at 4 months and are now settled into the Toddler Room (18 mos-3 yrs). I can't recommend them highly enough. For the parents, it's an intimate community where you feel part of a school as the PTA and more events for the families to connect are offered. Since it follows Readington Twp's school schedule, know that there is a spring break, holiday break, etc. (~ 4 weeks/year and a day here and there) where the school is closed and you'll need to find alternate care. Sending our child there is still well worth this logistical gymnastics we need to do a few times a year to accommodate the weeks off.

It's truly a learning center and the children are stimulated every day with a thoughtful and well planned set of play and activities. The teachers are also owners and it really shows in the pride, quality and caring. Poconoski has some Polish-American culture as part of the curriculum, but we're not a Polish family and it's an added bonus that our little one is exposed a bit to another culture. Plenty of American culture and just plain old fun and learning celebrated at Poconoski. The facility is beautiful, the prices fair and the quality very high. This is the best day care / nursery school we've found in the Poconos and we did extensive due diligence.

The second floor is a bit more expansive, but $7 feels like you should spend more than 15 minutes tops. I was examining the wooden structure, the bends and repairs. We went up the 4th floor stairs to see what was up there (appears to be where you take school kids for a field trip) just to prolong our stay. Ultimately, while I prefer this to the tourist-trap Red Mill across the bridge, honestly, the bridge is my favorite museum in town. I'd skip this next time.

We've toured every private school in the area and I've never met a more incompetent person in charge of admissions. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. She will take you around the school and speak in this soft and meek voice about everything they "offer" but once you get her on the phone she's an absolute animal. They profile and judge every student there. I've heard a lot of people are leaving since this woman has come into the school. Seems like a very toxic environment.
