But here's the problem, the bar person let my colleague close the tab, and then charged my card, but wouldn't hand over the card, even after my colleague offered to get me on the phone. So, understand this, they understood enough to charge my card, but not enough to hand said card over to the person who they obviously understood was drinking with me. This however is a summer time pub for me, because I really don't like the inside, especially the back room. The front bar is ok but usually packed or the TV is on loudly. What makes it a summer time pub is the marvellous garden. It's huge with all sizes tables both under cover and in the sun. It's easily the best beer garden in Carlton. Downside for me (upside for many) is the enormous screen that shows various sports games and it's very busy. The food is standard pub grub and not up to my standard though - I wouldn't eat anything but a bowl of chips here.

It has a small amount of delicious ham on top, a beautiful fresh tomato salsa and a small amount of cheese. It comes served with a rocket salad and some delicious chips. And don't forget a craft beer of your choice! Parma night is available 5-9pm on Wednesdays. They also have steak night and pizza night on other week days which I'm keen to try out as well.
