This place is 5 mins from my place. It has a buffet and sportsbar which i regularly went to a few…read moretimes a week but i wont be going back. As i tried to go in as usual the security guard has told me people have to leave there bags at the front counter or i cant go in. I pointed out that someone else had a backpack. I sent a message to the lynbrook hotel on there webpage and an email to there email address about never being forced to put my bag at reception in all my years of travel and going to numerous tabs only to get no response at all. They just completely ignored the complaint and cant even answer a simple question if people can take bags in. Dont go to this place they dont know how to run a hotel.

I can eat there is no doubt about that but I enjoy eating reasonably nice food. Moral of this story, I feel it is time I make my family choose a different go to for family events! All the food is soggy and tastes the same, salty but the same. 80% of the food is deep fried crap and the other 20% is just plain upsetting! The slight saving grace is the dessert bar but really you are bound to get a few dessert selections right! I totally understand the appeal for families, kids play room, pay at the start, eat all you want. I personally would rather pay $30 for a nice meal without screaming kids running around. But hey they are doing something right as they are booked out pretty much all the time but the city snob in me thinks maybe this is the norm for food in the burbs?

Yeah, this pub was sort of okay, though it wasn't anything particularly flash, though that probably…read morehas something to do with the limited beers on tap. I did like the dining area, which certainly does have a lot of charm about it. In fact, the domed area is quite nice, though due to CoVid restrictions, I ended up in the sports bar. I should mention that the service here was particularly awesome.

Chelsea Heights Hotel…read more We got there at 5.50pm as it said seating at 6pm, We were left standing outside till 6.12pm as were 30 or so others. We went to buy bottles of wine (group of 7) no wine list, could only buy by the glass, was in queue to buy drinks till well after 6.30 pm. Then because the waiter then had to pour the drinks, nobody on our table got a drink till 6.45pm. No trays to carry the drinks. Getting glasses of water not that easy either. For the $80 odd - There was a choice of three (entree sized) food stuffs for our dinner, Chicken stuffed with mushrooms (served cold and raw with a wee dollop of mashed potato and broccoli (all cold). or Salmon, served with a wee bit of rice, nothing else, or a small (as in tiny) bowl of veges (or it may have been salad). No entree, no desert, no tea or coffee. I sent back my first raw chicken, only to be presented with second raw cold one. The queuing for drinks was on going - the poor bar staff, there were just two on. Each time I went to the ladies (twice) I had to do a clean-up, the place was mess, I picked up paper towels and put them in the bin, and got fresh clean ones and wiped down the benches - they were afloat with water and debris. The loos themselves were clean (well the two I used) but even McDonalds have staff regularly checking on their toilet areas, obviously none at your establishment. When patrons feel the necessity to do a bathroom clean up - well things are bad. Steps in the venue were not marked out - there were heaps, none of us tumbled - all aged between 66 and 81, but I bet there are regular tumbles there. When driving in and out there is raised concrete, just coloured grey, not painted with white, gee they were hard to see in the wet conditions, I bet many lose their sumps in the venue's car park. The band - Studio 54 were great, but none of out group will ever return to your hotel, and all of went home to have some food. None of us are big eaters! We will go see Studio 54 play again - but never in Chelsea. Belinda
