I have been following Diego, the owner of knockout zone and one of the coolest, nicest, most badass trainor/ business owner/ family man and ninja I have ever encountered, from the very start ! When he opened this place up, he made it true to his vision of what a gym should be : a place where people who are serious about giving their 200% meet once a day - to sweat/ fight/ Push/ Yell/ Bleed/ find strength they didn't think they had, and do it all over again the next day. If you are looking to show- off your muscles and chit-chat with your bros between sets about your latest tinder match and macro split BRO, knockout zone is probably not for you, in fact : please stay away. What makes this gym awesome is how authentic and great every single person who attends it is. From MMA champions, to pro wrestlers, to bodybuilders, to karate kids, to whomever is serious about training and leaving a puddle of sweat on the floor, it has a strict: no douche allowed policy ! The knockout zone family is humble and kind, and really embodies the "don't mistake my kindness for weakness" motto. It's simple really: check your ego at the door, try out some of the amazing classes the gym offers / a diversity that you will not likely find at any other gym, push yourself, find your mentor, and you will accomplish the kind of stuff people write legends about within these walls. Amazing amazing gym. Went around for a year till I found a gym that encompasses a true boxing gym. This gym has the classes available for those who want to simply the lose weight but also allows for those who want to learn technical boxing, muiuy Thai and mma. Basically, you can make what you want from the gym because it is so versatile. Also, you don't feel like a 'member' or a number but like family. When I did not go for a couple of months, Diego the owner greeted me like family, asked me how everything was going, if I was OK. It was an excellent feeling. Great customer service. I'm a big fan of reviews so what you need to know is. It's not a spa type gym, it's for the strong hearted! The gym seems to be in an old garage with all the weights on the bottom floor and you go up the ramp to a room filled with bags, a cage etc. when you walk in you smell rubber and sweat and you want to add your tears and sweat to the aroma indicating that real work was done here! I come here during the day when no classes are there as well and the upstairs and I do all my conditioning there. Also, great personal training and glove work for a reasonable price. I've been going to this gym for about two weeks...and all I can say is WOW! This gym is amazing!!!. I've been going to do the crossfit sessions and they are intense. The trainers are knowledgeable and very motivating. I am a PTA, so I was looking for a place with knowledgeable staff who do not jeopardize safety over "gains". I think I just found them. The trainers make sure that all the exercises are performed correctly to prevent risk of injury. Furthermore, the gym is fully equipped, provides a very welcoming atmosphere, like the old style gym, most people pointed out in other reviews. Since the moment you walk in you realize these people are serious about what they do and they are great at it. For one fee you get access to multiple program options (crossfit, bootcamp, Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Boxing among others) . I have been training at Knock out Zone for about 5 years. I love training at this gym. They have amazing and very professional classes!! All instructors are very knowledgable and professional. The gym is very well equipped with everything that any martial artist would need! Diego, the owner is an wonderful person and amazing martial artist who has over the years treated me with lots of respect and supported me in my whole learning. Diego has also taught me how to train and condition my body using specific training programs. Which have helped me a lot with my back injury specially in the past months. I was with Diego/KO from July 2013-December 2014. Have to say during that time I was in the best shape and health. I couldn't stay away long so now I'm back and already seeing results. This gym isn't just Crossfit it's a combination of different techniques and skills to enhance your strength and endurance to keep your body doing different exercises. Like anything in life if you work hard put your all in come in to this gym with an open mind trust the trainers you will definitely see results. Everyone that attends this gym are all constantly working hard giving you motivation to push yourself to do better than the other members. You will leave the gym every time feeling more confident. I joined this gym a couple of years ago because it offered a lot of martial arts classes. The staff is friendly and supportive, the instructors are excellent trainers, Diego De Vera and Gregory Choplin for Muay Thai classes and Jorge Elizondo, a black belt for Jiu Jitsu under Jorge Pereira. Jorge Elizondo is my Sensei, he constantly pushes me to be better, which is why I get motivated to go there to train at least 3 times a week. He is truly a great instructor, who teach us all of us to use our body type for our advantage in Jiu Jitsu training and competition. I recommend you join this gym, it has all you need to develop the boxing, Muay Thai and/or Jiu Jitsu skills you desire. I couldn't be happier with my choice of joining knockout zone over a year ago. It's not just for crossfit, they also offer muay thai, MMA, boxing and plenty of other classes. If for any reason you don't want to take any of the classes, you always have a wide range of machines and weights that you could use. All the instructors are amazing and they definitely know what they're doing. They're all there to help you reach your goals and will give you the push you need to get there. KO Zone is hands down the best gym in Miami. I've been a member of different gyms, ranging from commercial to privately owned and KO Zone tops them all. The first floor is fully remodeled with top of the line equipment, for all of your powerlifting and strength and conditioning needs. The second floor is strategically designed for a proper fighters environment with speed bags, boxing rings, mats, octagon and so much more. The overall environment of this gym is hard to find anywhere else. Even the trainers and owners of the gym make sure to treat all members, including new comers as family. Knockout Zone is one of the best places I've gone to workout not only is everyone nice, and willing to help but the place is always clean, the music is great and the staff is beyond amazing. Coach Diego does not treat you as his customer but as part of his family and that's something that you can't get in many places. The people who go to the gym are there almost everyday just like me it's nice to walk in and see and talk to familiar people. It's encouraging and you will sweat like crazy the workouts are great from anyone who's just starting out or someone who's been doing it for years. The Real Deal Gym. First of all this gym has everything your looking for. If your looking for All types of free weights and weight machines, Ko zone has it. If your looking for MMA training, Ko zone has it. Looking for muay thai traning, Ko zone has it. If your looking for boxing training, u guessed it. Ko zone has it. And many more self defense classes. I personally decided to train muay thai with Tony Lupe. Tony is a bad ass muay thai fighter and trainer. Tony is very knowledgeable and experienced muay thai trainer. It is a true gym!! No posers, no bullcrap! Straight out real TRAINING. If you are looking for hard, straight and effective work outs, it is the right place. Excellent equipment (brand new), trainers and staff are very friendly and helpful. The owner is always there making sure all is the way it is supposed to be. All instructors are actual active fighters. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is top. Muay Thai and boxing are as serious as they can be. Prices are great. A true diamond in the rough. It's a gym that offers EVERYTHING that you could possibly need to reach your fitness goals. No posers, no one is sitting around on their a** holding down the gym equipment from floating away, no complaints for dropping weights that were designed for dropping, no choking on some chick's stank a** perfume, and best of all, there's no speakers listening in and sounding off for being too loud for beasting your workout. My wife and myself have gone to this gym for a while the classes are fun and in some way challenging which make them very interesting the trainers make sure that you give best in every workout and are always willing to help you achieve your goals. Great old school gym for new school training. Very extensive range of machines and cross fit opportunities in spacious environment. The people here work and train very hard but are very down to earth and friendly. Great Martial arts area upstairs for Boxing, MMA, BJ and Muay Thai. The trainers have lots of knowledge and experience. The new location is in a little bit of a rough part of town but in my opinion that adds to the flavor and feel of the gym. By far the BEST crossfit I've ever been to! The training is great! I'm amazed at the trainers actually being knowledgable and knowing why they are doing. Body mechanics is a MUST for them. All the exercise routines are safe and well instructed. The owner, Diego, is so funny and very nice. They make me feel totally comfortable while I'm there.
