Kinh is an amazing Pilates instructor who is a mindful practitioner of the body and has a fundamental understanding of anatomy and physiology. Moreover, with her kind personality, warm spirit & sharp wit she is a delight to be around! I am immensely grateful to have found such a talent right here in our little city of Sonoma! Over a decade ago, I became attracted to Pilates upon learning of the 'Pilates Promise' as referenced by Joseph Pilates. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to have had several talented Pilates instructors but none have been as well rounded as Kinh! In our sessions, Kinh has a laser focus and observes and adjusts the multitude of micro-articulations required in a single exercise. We quickly transition from one exercise sequence to the next switching from the various apparatus of Cadillac, Reformer and Chair etc. In addition to Pilates, Kinh has helped me to grow in my yoga practice too, which has been an incredible added bonus! Our private Pilates sessions are tailored to the evolving needs of my body on a given day. Our workouts are rigorous and build strength yet also promote healing and defend against my low back issues. When I leave a session I feel light, refreshed & balanced. I was looking to find a new workout to incorporate with my running. I had always heard of people doing Pilates, however had never tried it out for myself. I looked into the mat and Pilates machine classes (reformer, chair, etc.), but felt that a private lesson would be a good first step to ensure that I have the correct form, movements, etc. I was never athletic growing up - I was a dancer for a few years, but then gave that up. Finding the right sport / exercise other than running has always been a challenge for me. Well my first private lesson was so worthwhile that it has led to weekly privates with Kinh. In my first meeting with Kinh, I knew we would get along and be on the same page. When I work out I like to understand what my muscles are doing, and what I should be feeling - Kinh explains the Pilates methodology as well as each movement. Pilates is a full body workout and I love how I feel after each lesson. I work muscles that I didn't even know about as well as areas of my body that I want to improve (ex: inner legs). I have been working with Kinh for a few months now and have noticed a difference in my overall strength as well as my body in the mirror. I can be hard on myself in terms of my body not understanding a movement or being able to accomplish the first time around. However, Kinh brings me to reality regarding the moves being really challenging and that I will be able to conquer it. Let me tell you it is the greatest feeling to finally be able to do something that 1) never thought I could and 2) wasn't able to do a few lessons prior. Kinh taught my first pilates class EVER, so I was really nervous. I had been really stressed out from work and within 5 minutes into the class I was already feeling so much more relaxed. Kinh's instructions were intuitive and easy to understand. I was able to just listen to them without fumbling around and trying to see what she was doing. The class size was about 15-20 and Kinh did a good job spot checking and changing any postures. Overall, great class to take for me as a beginner. I didn't feel like I was totally out of my element but I felt a nice soreness from a good workout the next day. This was my first time taking Pilates (or exercising ever). Kinh made it a lot of fun, so much so that I actually look forward to the class and am willing to forgo my weekends to work with her. I've now been working with her for almost 4 months. She has an amazing knowledge of what works on your body type and puts together the program accordingly. she pushes you just the right amount but Is very sensitive to your body movements and comfort. Kinh kicks butt! Or should I say she raises them. I've been taking private classes from Kinh the month before my wedding and in just several, like literally 3 sessions, I could feel a real difference in the shape of my body and in my poise and posture. I definitely recommend her private lessons. She uses all the machines, and changes the exercises each time so its never dull and always challenging. Having never used many of these machines, she expertly explains each exercise and also describes the musculature that you are targeting so you have a great visual about how you are working your own body. She listens to your needs and is very motivating. With her attention to detail, she doesn't let you slack off and in that way you get the most of each session. I am so blessed to have connected with Kinh as a teacher. Her thoughtful and incredibly prepared work with me in Pilates at OnCue Studio, as well as private yoga lessons at home, have boosted my physical health as well as my mental wellbeing. I LOVE working out with Kinh! I have been taking private Pilates lessons with her twice a week for the past 3 months. She uses all of the machines (reformer, chair, etc.) and changes it up every session so you are never bored. I have definitely noticed a positive change in my body and I feel a lot stronger. Kinh takes time to explain the Pilates methodology as well as each movement so you know exactly what muscle you are supposed to be targeting. I've been working with Kinh for several months now and have grown tremendously. She is fantastic to work with. She takes the time to not only teach you the movement for each exercise but to help you to understand what objectives you are trying to achieve, what muscles you are working, etc. I've taken Pilates in the past, and to be honest, have always been a little skeptical. Kinh is a great teacher. She is patient and calm. I have had several Pilates instructors but I really like her attention to detail and her inventive teaching style. She also personalizes all of her classes. I have a lot of physical limitations (bulging disc, bad knee, lower back issues). She makes the classes challenging but still makes sure that I don't hurt myself and reminds me to breathe constantly. I would highly recommend her for beginners up to advanced students. read more

I have worked with several Pilates instructors over the past 8 years, and Kinh is the best! She cares about her clients, and personalizes their programs to meet their needs and skills. Just took a class with Kihn- whoa. Amazing. She's extremely good at getting you in the right place. I've done Pilates in large classes before and thought I was pretty damn good. Then Kihn showed me how to make some slight adjustment in my posture or form and I immediately realized "No wonder I had thought it was so easy. I had been doing it wrong!" I "felt the burn" for sure. I feel taller, stronger and more graceful. I would definitely recommend a private session even for people who have been doing Pilates for years- you WILL learn something new. read more
