I tried out the Newbie unlimited pass, and was going about 3-4 times a week. What I love about this studio is that they seem to have instructors that are more invested with each of its clients. For instance, the instructors call out participants by name saying how great they are doing in a move. I also like how some instructors incorporate arm weights into the class, which look tiny, but are quite strenuous. My favorite instructors are Corri, Ina, Ariel, and Mara. After being here for a few months, I'd say 90% of the instructors are good, and you will get a good workout in. Some things I don't like about the studio are the booking options for the classes. By first glance, it looks impossible to book a class, as the options are almost always "waitlist only." I am pulled off the waitlist about 80% of the time, but not always. I always feel like in general, it's annoying to be put on a waitlist, instead of being confirmed right away. In addition, if I could change the membership options, what I would change is the options for classes per month. It skips from 8 classes/month to 12 classes/month, which is a big jump. Wish there was an option in between to choose from. Another bummer is the mirrors in the class. 80% of the reformer machines have mirrors on all sides, but there are a few spots that don't have many options, so it's hard to see yourself in the mirror to correct yourself. The parking is really easy in this area, which is amazing. Even in broad daylight, the residential parking a block down and over are free for 2-4 hours! Love that! In general, I really love this studio and would recommend if you want to try Reformer pilates.

I did 2 morning classes which worked out perfectly for my schedule and the parking outside (street cleaning so be aware of the days, also no meter paying until 9AM). The studio is very well setup, spacious and clean with good ventilation/ac. Reformers are staggered with lots of mirror around and motivational words up top (love that!). I appreciate the little baskets each reformer has for our personal items, such as smart way to keep out things in one place, next to us! Very high 4 stars rating, only things that brings it down is its soo pricey for a membership or per session... but that's a Pilates reformer class anywhere you go. Nevertheless, definitely worth the try and I just may be back every once in a while!

I felt more rehabilitation in my ankles and back than I did in traditional physical therapy with heavy weight lifting and cardio. My body is more toned and I don't leave classes feeling strained or hurt like I did in physical therapy and self led workouts. The classes are challenging but not painful. Only disappointing thing about this particular facility is they don't have a lot of formation classes, which are the ones you take in the beginning. Fortunately, I'm in a place where I am able to pay for privates, but I don't know if this is the place to come and learn in a group environment as they have so few classes. This was the third or fourth time classes had been shifted without notifying the participants. The instructor said she just found out as well. Why? No idea. Also frustrating is that despite the fact I have come here for years there has never been any kind of thank you for your loyalty, hey it's your birthday here's a free class, here's a discount, nothing. It was a small studio that has now become a chain, so the vibe has shifted for sure. I wish them the best and thank them for all of the great classes I've had in the past but it's time to move on.

I took Jen's class -- she's the owner -- and it's nice to find someone who is so nice, passionate and involved in her business. Note that there's no separate changing area other than the one bathroom so if you're going to cut it close to the class, it may be best to change at home. The reformer class was excellent and was focus and controlled and I got a good workout in. Jen took the time to explain everything and made sure we were doing the moves correctly. Even though I didn't really sweat in the class, I did feel a little sore in my abs the next day and still got a god workout in. Would highly recommend this place if you like pilates classes like Body Chemistry in the Mission or Mercury Fitness in the Marina. These are the kinds of pilates studios I love to find and frequent. I don't really love the BodyRok or Core40 classes as much since they go too fast, seem very repetitive in the movements/exercises, and don't focus on form. She led us through a mix of strength and cardio intervals, offering modifications and cues calling attention to form and alignment reminders (I definitely needed these!). I felt comfortable easing back into things while still being pushed beyond what I've been doing on my own over the past year. It was really nice to be back in a gym setting and use equipment not as common to the basic home gym setup many of us have acquired during the pandemic (yoga mat, dumbbells, bands...). Checking the schedule and signing up online via their website was easy. Once I arrived, I was welcomed and shown around, and I observed the current Covid protocols of mask wearing were being followed. I hope to go back next week and get back into a new routine!

The studio is very well maintained. I've also taken their pilates classes and definitely recommend it. BUT if you're looking for a cycling class, check out Griselda's classes. I love them and it's a life changing, freeing class. Plus, you get your dose of cardio in as well as some arm workouts. I will definitely return. I love this place!

His knee hurts after exercising so decided not to continue. He gave me his card but the registration person said cannot share card even though he canceled and not using it. His picture showed up when I tried to sign in with the card. The facility here is also not good compared to Fitness SF. Adult membership is $91 and Senior is $81 so not much of a discount even though his is paid for by Kaiser. They have free resistance band workout every other Wednesday at the Union Square plaza at 8am. It's a free class and the instructor is nice.

Strawberry Hills gives a nice overview of the lake beneath as you walk up the hill. At the top, you get a pretty overlook of SF city. Image attached below. Definitely check out Strawberry Hills when you're in GG Park. And, if also chasing for waterfalls, definitely check out "Rainbow Falls". It is very beautiful as well.

Kaitlyn is absolutely the best personal trainer in the world. I went to her 3 months before my wedding trying to get in shape for my big day. I had been to a couple of personal trainers before, all were practically drill sergeants. That is no way to get me motivated to workout! I didn't know what to expect when I signed up for an initial session, but because she and I had dance in common, I figured she would train me in a way so I wouldn't be too sore and tired, or hurt, to dance, which was the case with my past trainers. But from the moment I met her, I knew Kaitlyn was different. She always has a smile on her face and really listens to your goals and what you like. She gets you excited about working out and being healthy. She makes working out fun by telling funny stories, putting on great tunes you like, and doing new or different exercises each session. The time flies so fast during a workout with her. She also, gives you suggestions on eating and health, and if you listen to her, she will get you to your goal. She understands different people are different, and tailors your workout to fit your needs as well as what your body can handle. She gives you what you can take, but does it in a fun way. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. I am happy to say I surpassed my goal and looked amazing on my wedding day. My husband told her "I don't know what you did, but she needs to keep working out with you. She (me) looks absolutely amazing!" And I most certainly plan on continuing; I have never looked better! read more

I am so happy I discovered OnPointe. I have been taking classes with Claudia and hands down have to say she is the best Pilates instructor I have had. She has a positive attitude and motivates you to make the most out of your workout. I especially love that the classes are small where they really make sure that you are correctly doing each movement to the fullest. Since going to OnPointe I have notice that my core is much stronger. Thanks Claudia! read more

Most studios I go to feature the megaPROs, which are upgraded and sleeker versions of the older megas. I came for a community class a while back, so can't really complain about a free class. I wasn't here to socialize, but I can see how the space might get crowded if people come early and are waiting for class to finish up.

The space itself felt clean, albeit can get a little bit stuffy if you're coming in during mid day. Instructors will normally put on a fan. I'm hooked! Parking is decently easy to find. I was told by my physical therapist to find a Pilates studio where the teachers are ballet dancers who have been injured and used Pilates as rehabilitation. And the owner Evan is a stuntwoman and dancer who rehabbed her own injuries. Evan's instruction focuses on muscle groups and building strength in areas prone to injury. The vinyasa flow class with Keegan was the perfect reset I needed to end the weekend and start another week. The class I took was not heated, but it was not cold or uncomfortable in class by any means. It was slightly warm, which was just right and enabled my muscles to relax. Great class, great instructor, and good vibe overall.

Not sure what the other classes are like but this was taught by Rick, like an ashtanga style class for 60 minutes and a few of the hardest moves removed. Still a tough class and most poses and done twice. The temperature of the room was 108F, widely attended with around 24 students. 40% of them left around 15 minutes before the class ended. Yes, it's hot and it feels good. Yes you feel like you're going to die. But you'll feel so alive afterwards. Rick is a great teacher and provider clearly and timely guidance. A plus is the lush garden view in the window. If I come to SF, this is a must. I didn't bring yoga mat due to traveling, I recommend to bring a towel to sweat on. The floors are the soft martial art type floors. Love Body Temp Yoga!

I looked up hot pilates and body temp seems to be one of the very VERY few places to offer hot mat pilates in SF. I booked my first class with Patty and ever since I've been locked in. Patty's flow is smooth and challenging. She offers modifications and compliments when we most need it. The studio is small and there is only 1 class happening at a time. They have changing rooms and they also have 1 bathroom but no showers so be ready to baby wipe your self if you have work afterwards or go home to shower because you will be hot and sweaty after. (I hope this review does not make it challenging for me to book Patty's classes ah!! Patty if you'r reading this, I am shy and would like to hear more hip hop songs lol)
