Floor tile work was done fairly well. Wall tile and all painting work was not. Wall tiles are…read moreunevenly spaced with large gaps between the tile and the schluter trim. Tile lines are not lined up. Whole house was repainted due to the paint work being beyond unacceptable. The county building inspector thought their "final" paint work was only primer if that tells you anything. This business has several photos from our home where they are misleading people into believing the work is theirs. The "wood art installation with pendant lights" was not done by them. Not a single part of that light installation was done by them. The same cabinetry you see in that photo is also described in their gallery as "granite and cabinet install". They installed the cabinets....three times before they got them correct, even though they had the cabinet design plan with all measurements and specifications in hand from the beginning. They said the refrigerator panel the cabinet maker did was just an extra piece of material, didn't know what it was and tried to exclude it from the install. The "granite" is quartz and was NOT done by them as they imply. The custom built showers that they imply they built were simply them doing very subpar tile work without appropriate waterproofing, shower floors that did not drain properly due to inconsistent slope, and ultimately had to be ripped out and redone by a real professional. They did not construct any framing of those showers. Even lied about being able to install a niche and then said they couldn't. They boast about how they don't leave until you're satisfied but when we tried to point out issues, she blames everyone but herself and her work. Takes zero accountability. Blamed the drywall crew, blamed me. Even blamed the Sherwin Williams Super Paint for the paint issues, saying it was a bad paint. Look closely at her posted tile pics. I wish I had zoomed in on the work a lot closer, she would've never been hired to begin with. Also, if you have more than one contractor working your project, she will try to create conflict between you and your other contractors. Do yourself a favor and just hire someone else!

He threatened to abandon our screen porch project twice: 1) because he claimed that the posts were not the part of framing and were a part of the railing and screens (which were completed by another company) because he constructed the posts that held the railings; 2) he stated that he would not call the screen company to discuss dates and construction because this had become too complicated since we arranged for someone else to do the screen and railing work. He was critical our electricians' job and told us many times that he questioned if the work would ever pass inspection. NO PROBLEMS WITH THE ELECTRICAL INSPECTION. He told us that he would make a 12 inch metal plate so that we could install our deck umbrella, but instead, he used 2 wooden blocks under the deck. Additionally, his employee yells and cusses constantly while working.

Within 15 minutes, Larry Wallace the owner of Carolina Contracting And Tree Service had contacted me to come out and look at the problem.(seemed to be very nice.)He did come out within a couple of days.. however, when he come out, looked at the problem, he give us a quote that was a bit on the high end but we were in much need of it being done because they were calling for rain and we had just had All the new Sheetrock freshly painted. So we decided to go with him. He guaranteed when it was complete, we would be satisfied. We were paying for all the materials, just paying for labor for Larry to do the work.After removing all the metal from the front of the house so there was no roof at the front where he was repairing. He calls me out to say, He needed to put on a new ridge bc it wasn't wide enough.When asking how much more that would be, he told me the same amount that it would cost from the first estimate so he doubled the price. Knowing rain was coming we had no roof on the front part of our house. He then states he would not guarantee the work if he did not put the ridge on so pretty much we had no choice. We did say that was too much, but received a sarcastic remark from Larry,That he was fixing someone mess. This is a 1800 square-foot house with a very low pitch Roof It was not the entire roof He was fixing, just in the front in one spot. It took them maybe seven hours max to complete job start to finish and he charged us $12,000 after they had completed the job we paid him in full, saying at that time you know you did us wrong , (you reap what you sew) . Larry then states he sleeps well at night. Sometime after I sent Larry a message, letting him know that the roof had bulges where it was popping up. Sent him pictures as well. He said he didn't see anything wrong.But He stated he would come out and take a look and he would be back in touch with me never heard from him after that, I sent him another message, letting him know that we had gotten our problem fixed, and I didn't appreciate him not keeping his word. This was unfair and I knew he would not want his home looking like that if it were his.His response was well. Does the roof leak? He also Stated that we must have been satisfied because we paid him. That's not the case we paid him because that's what he charged. And we try to do the right thing by people. Lesson learned!! I then told him that I would be doing a review then he sent a message stating that I was mad because I had to pay him to fix someone else's mess. We were just looking for an honest person to do the job with an honest/fair price.Because you get much further in life, being honest, humble and kind.I would not refer him to do any work. He is very sarcastic, and very price gouging, the roof does not leak however, if you want it to look a mess then I guess he's your man. If not, I would not choose him to do any work for me, because you will pay top dollar for a shabby job.I can't rate him at zero because there is not a box to check for that however, I will rate it as a one for that reason.

Richard's business actually is wood repair, furniture repair and other related services. Yelp did…read morenot have a "furniture repair" listing. So the upholstery was the closest I could find. Richard repaired my antique maple bedroom set and completely restored it to almost better than new condition, Normally I wouldn't touch the furniture as it is antique, but years of sun damage had worn away the finish and now it was in a state of deterioration. It looks so beautiful now. Additionally, this same set had two twin beds with the beautifully carved headboards and foot boards... I had him combine them into a queen and it just looks wonderful. Richard is a professional, retired furniture maker, who knows color, proper restoration techniques, and preservation. I highly recommend Richard for any furniture, or wood repairs in your home (doors, kitchen cabinets, etc.) Aside from being top notch quality he has the most pleasant personality.
