Fortuity
After days of Italian pizza and pasta, we were in search of a change of pace
Walking steps from our hotel and exploring the local area, we stumbled upon Kohaku
They say chance encounters are the best and this could not have been better
Kohaku is a traditional Japanese restaurant specializing in Kaiseki cuisine and is actually Rome's very first Kaiseki restaurant and is listed in the Michelin Guide
The interior is serene and calm and while we were not able to partake in the traditional kaiseki menu (advanced reservations only), we found a delightful menu of sushi, sashimi, and elevated cooked cuisine
As a unique restaurant in a land of excellent cuisine, Kohaku was exactly what we needed and we couldn't be happier
