Jake and Kodi were our guides, and they were phenomenal! It was obvious that our safety was their number one priority. Their instructions were clear and their constant guidance inspired complete confidence throughout the entire experience. Their second number one priority (yes, that can be a thing) was to make sure we all had a BLAST! Mission accomplished. Their hilarious jokes and stories kept us laughing. And they engaged everyone in the group in lively conversation, so that by the end we felt as if we had a bunch of new friends. The course itself was terrific. The zip lines got increasingly longer and faster (loud whoops and hollers highly encouraged), with suspension bridge crossings scattered throughout for some fun variety. Our family of five absolutely loved the experience. Mahalo, Kodi and Jake!

Amazing adventure. Kodi and Tami were amazing guides!! They were funny and supportive. They also give great recommendations for local shops and stops. Hearing about the culture from locals is always awesome. The views and lines were so much fun. Kodi also took some amazing pictures for us. Walking across this bridges was terrifying even though we knew we would be safe. These tour guides really made this experience and we are so glad we did this!!

DAY 2 of Vacation - Starting off strong with our first activity! Zip-lining! None of us have zip-lined before, so we were very excited. Parking: Find the yellow building, follow the arrows, and park in the grass area. Free parking. Service: Shout out to our guides Noi and Kody! They were amazing, knowledgable, and comical! They made us feel safe throughout the tour. Kody was also very knowledgable about the area and gave us a history lesson during the ride up to the location. Noi carefully showed and explained what to do and not do. Activity: After the introductions, Noi and Kody suited us up. Then we got into a van for a 20 min bumpy drive up to the location. I will never get over the scenery here. You can see Maui from the drop off location. There were so many greenery, trees, and plants. We went through long and short zips and walked many different bridges. I am not afraid of heights, but if you are, just don't look down. Photos: They do not offer videos. I purchased a photo package for $20.93. Kody took our photos from an older iPhone with a home button. The photos came out good. Kody took off guard photos, but he also took photos of us when requested. After zip-lining, they email the photos to the primary person within an hour. Pricing: Highly recommend Kohala Zipline! We enjoyed this activity the entire time. Our guides made us feel safe, and their personalities made the activity even more fun.

Everything was amazing. My daughter and I had a great day in the trees. I'd recommend Kody and Nick as your guides. Thanks.

Kohala Zipline in Hawi, Hawaii: As a grandfather of 8 grandson's, I was leery ziplining at my age. All of a sudden, there I was riiding this high-speed thriller with Yelp's experienced "zipper" Nancy V. We were laughing and screaming as much as the teenagers taking part of the same adventure on this island paradise.. Consider giving it a try.. It really is fast, safe & fun !!

We had such a fun time! It was a small group, which made the experience feel personal and relaxed. The guides were funny, welcoming, and made everyone feel safe. We even got to snack on fresh fruit between runs. Overall, an absolute blast -- highly recommend!

Absolutely absolute outstanding company Excellent service very experienced guides Top-notch, safety and security throughout the event A lot of information was provided for the region and the area The three hours flew by definitely worthwhile and something you can do more than once

    View from the ziplining

We had a wonderful day with Decker and Cody on our zip and dip tour. The sights were amazing and the ziping was fun. Educational as well. Sleeping grass is super cool which Decker told us about. I highly recommend it was the highlight of out trip.

    Best Day!

The off-roading itself was so fun, and the views were unreal, but what really made the experience stand out were our guides, Jericho and Samson. At every stop, they shared stories that brought the history of Kohala to life. The way they told them was so vivid and engaging that it made each location meaningful, not just scenic. You could tell they genuinely care about what they do and about sharing the culture and history of the area. If you're looking for something fun, adventurous, and actually enriching, I can't recommend this tour enough. Huge thanks to Jericho and Samson for making it such a memorable experience! Mahalo

I brought my gf and my parents to this tour. The tour was just the four of us, so it felt very private and VIP haha. Jericho and Nathaniel were our tour guides. They were amazing, knowledgeable, friendly, and took so many pictures for all of us. They even stopped us at more viewpoints since we had time to spare as our group was just the four of us. The tour had everything. Whether you wanted to enjoy a scenic view, or a waterfall, or the chaos of a UTV drive. There was something to love for everyone. The drive was almost 2.5 hours I'd say, but I lost track of time as I didn't check my phone once. I just didn't want this adventure to end. Highly highly recommend. I've been ATV driving in Cabo San Lucas and in Taiwan. This is by far the best.

Mike was not only an expert in all things chocolate, but he is easy to understand, he takes time to teach you and answer any questions and he has a great personality! It was pouring down rain the day we went, yet the tour was still a great success. We started out at the farm and then concluded down at the shop. You get to taste fresh cacao, nibs, cacao tea and kakao brew - of course at the shop are the full chocolate bars. Mike clearly loves what he does and enjoys sharing that love with his customers. The only down side is that after listening to Mike you will be ruined forever on eating any other general retail chocolate. So long Hershey and friends!

He built his cacao farm from the bottom up and it was amazing to witness his progress ever since 2017. He walked us through the seed germination process, the growing process, the fermentation process and everything before, in between and after that.. from seed all the way to chocolate bar. This tour is meant to expand your knowledge and change your perspective on how you think about, taste, and experience chocolate. At the end of the farm tour, you drive down to the gift shop (about a 3 min drive from the farm) to make any potential purchases as well as taste even more chocolate! What an amazing and unique experience in Honaka'a and 100% recommend adding this tour to your Big Island itinerary. P.S. my favorite chocolate bar is the barrel aged bourbon bar!! The color of Mauna Kea with the moon shining on it was so magical all around us. There were some clouds that cleared pretty well by the end of our star gazing. We were the last ones up there so it got dark enough to see more than you'd expect with the moon. Jeff, our awesome tour guide, used a laser pointer to help us see the constellations we usually can't back at home. The images on the digital telescope like nebulas, the moon & star clusters were an amazing addition to have as keepsakes. My husband and I felt he made the tour a great balance of learning and fun. He had the group feeling like family before we even left from the pickup lot. Things to consider: I do recommend following the moons cycles booking this tour/your trip if this is especially important for you to see as many stars as possible. The sunset and views of the observatory's make it awesome anyways :) I struggled with altitude sickness around 12,000 ft. Jeff had made sure to let us know beforehand if we experienced any issues to speak up. I was hesitant as I know it would mean turning the whole tour around, but some tingling turned to dizziness and then a brief fainting. He immediately stopped the bus and helped ground me and make sure I was completely okay & coherent before letting me know our options for the tour. We made it up to the top with 2 more (included in tour) stops and I felt better with each one having more time to acclimate :) Thank you Jeff!! You handled this so professionally and I appreciate your check-ins for the rest of the trip. It's cold even with parka and gloves. It's so worth packing warm shoes and layers. The bus had ac and heat so that was great! Do it if you can! Awe-inspiring! Such an unreal environment that makes you wonder about so many things. Just take the precautions seriously, move slow and breathe deep.
