i had an order to return to Lands End today. the woman who took my items said one thing to me: "where's this going to?". thats it. no greeting no thank you. also, the way employees dress is horrendous. novelty tshirts, jeans, etc. i worked at the Champaign Kohls during a holiday season several years ago. that type of dress would never have been allowed. kohls has really gone down hill in all areas: decreased selection of brands and within brands, decreased customer service. rarely shop there any longer. read more

Above average Kohl's location. Coupons are always plentiful and the clearance racks are always worth checking out. Regularly priced merchandise is overpriced in my opinion, but when items start getting marked down the deals are great. Today I went home with a $16.50 Winter coat; marked down from $100! Vast selections as far as sizes, and I appreciate the petite options. Probably the most friendly staff I've ever experienced in a Kohl's store. We've never had a bad customer service experience. This location is far more organized and easier to shop (clutter-free aisles) compared to some of the other Kohl's stores. We shop here a few times a year. My husband typically fares better than I do, but I still enjoy browsing. read more

I had an interesting experience in this store. I happened to be wearing a lanyard around my neck with my car keys on it. (There is always the possibilty that being like a little kid, I could lose my keys LOL so on the lanyard they go!) I was approached my multiple customers asking me for help. At first, I couldnt figure it out. Then BOOM, I realized that I looked like a store employee with my orange lanyard with Japanese Anime characters on it. I quickly removed my lanyard, so that I could continue shopping without having to assist other customers with their shopping. It is sad to note that the store associates who were also wearing lanyards were not around and not assisting customers. Possible employee shortage? I did see a few strolling around and chatting with each other. Overall this store is a typical Kohls. Its clean. Plenty of parking outside. And a bit lacking in employees. read more

I've been coming to Kohl's for about 3 years now. I mainly get work clothes since I work in an office space. I have a Kohl's charge that I use often as well. I get exclusive deals via email and postage throughout the year. The deals have saved me a ton over the last couple of years. I have been able to boost my charge limit and overall credit as well because of it. There is a great variety of all types of clothing from pre teens, teens, young adults, adults, plus size, fitness, and more. They have a great selection on jewelry, beauty products, and even footwear. They have plenty of parking too especially during the holiday times with a well staffed checkout and someone is always behind the jewelry counter. read more

If I could give this store 0 stars I would. Customer service was absolutely terrible when trying to figure out information on Apple watches. The customer service was arrogant and acted as if I was a bother. I was then transferred to the assistant manager Tanisha who was possibly the worst employee of them all. She talked down to me about a $400 purchase and was rude about checking stock. She was not helpful and told me that doing a transfer from a store would take 3 months. What a joke. What drew me into the Champaign Illinois store was a $19.99 ugly Christmas sweater that is featured on their website. Noticed I could pick it up today instead of ordering online it & waiting for it to be delivered. No problem, was going to be in Champaign so I could stop by, do some pre-black Friday shopping for my family while picking up an item for myself. Imagine my surprise when the sweater was $34.99 instead of $19.99. Asked the service desk why the prices were different & was told that they would NOT honor the price advertised. The only way I could get it for $19.99 & get it today was to.... order online. So to save $15, I had to waste more time by ordering online, wait 2 hours & 32 minutes while one of the workers pick out a sweater that was already in my hands..... After wasting my time, it would be nice to get an actual sincere apology & for all Kohl's stores to honor the advertised prices in the store. read more

This is more so about their online website, but a bit about the store too. I ordered a ton of stuff for Halloween online, and I didn't get it until well over a week after I ordered it. By that time I didn't even need it anymore, so I went to return it. The line to return stuff at Kohl's was over 6 people, and it was 2pm on a Tuesday. There were people there working, and not doing anything, that could've helped. The majority of the employees there are incredibly helpful. read more

Who doesn't love Kohl's? People who haven't shopped at Kohl's! My work shoes are falling apart. It's ok, I've worn them about 5 times a week since I purchased them (6 months ago?). I purchased the Fila work shoes. Who still gets fila? I do. These shoes are awesome. Plain flat black, with slip resistant (oil/water) soles. The thing I like best about these shoes is that they don't leave footprints when you walk across a freshly mopped floor (yes this is a problem in my line of work). I get them at KOHL'S!!! I noticed I needed new shoes on Monday, as I was walking to my car and my socks had gotten wet and rain foam was coming out of the shoes. It was weird. It reminded me of a conversation I had with Rich a couple weeks before when he was talking about the hard knocks tv show where the football player was standing on the sidelines and sweat foam was coming from his shoes (he was a sweaty large man). Mine was from rain. I'm not that large. So, since I knew I needed shoes, I looked at the rest of my wardrobe and my day job shirts for work were getting pretty bland. The colors weren't as crisp as they had been, stupid well water in the washing machine. Also, one of my favorite shirts had an ink stain in the pocket where a pen asploded. So, I got 8 new shirts. The gf was with me, and she wanted to help, so I gave her my size with these conditions: either all one color, or with white and black, nothing too pastel, and no buttons on the collar. Again, I walked with 8 shirts. I'm not sure what all colors I got, but I got a new Monday Red, Purple Shirt Wednesday (I wear purple for those who can't wear purple), and Black Shirt Friday. I also got 2 new pairs of trousers (who still says trousers?) I got some new white socks, and some new plain black tshirts. When we get to the checkout lane and start getting rung up, the gf was looking at the register and was like "yay, the shirts I picked were all on sale, and the ones you picked weren't". Not that I care. The lady behind the counter asks if we are paying with Kohl's Card, and I'm like "Yep". The gf is like "wait, you have a kohl's card?", and I'm like "yep". The lady then asks, do you have a smart phone? and i'm like "yep". She says to go to kohls.com and look for the "today's deals". I open up the phone web browser (don't be porn, don't be porn, don't be porn) go to Kohls.com, click a button, pull up a scanner image thing and BOOM!!! 20% off! The total we paid was like $5 more than the amount we "saved". So that was nice. I'll take 49% off on a Friday. Sadly, no Kohl's Kash today :( As we are leaving, we walk past the jewelry section. There's "watch and ___" combo thingies available. Watch and pen, for the fashionable writer. Watch and money clip, for the fashionable person with cash. I swear that most Kohl's stores are struggling. At least that is the takeaway that I get home in Atlanta. My nearest Kohl's closed. But I admit, I don't shop a Kohl's nearly as much as I used to - so I am part of the problem. But this "problem" does not seem to exist in Champaign. Kohl's is always PACKED. What are they doing right? Since I live out of state, most of my shopping is done during holidays, mainly Black Friday. There is always a line. Luckily, day after Christmas, it had died down considerable by the time we finished our shopping. I enjoy shopping at Kohl's due to their great coupons and Kohl's cash. There is a decent amount of clearance items and there tend me to be some good scores. It is also a good spot to shop for home items, and I have also purchased luggage from store. Staff tend to be friendly, though I rarely find them on the floor - mostly they are checking people out. Overall, a pleasant place to shop if the lines aren't ridiculous. read more

I've shopped at a Kohl's store in several different cities and states and they all seem to be similar and that a positive thing. The merchandise is good for the prices, the salespeople have always been helpful and friendly and courteous, the return/exchange policies are excellent, and the discounts and specials and sales are frequent and valuable. I buy much of my casual clothing there and find the selection quite accommodating. If you don't find something, you can use their customer service phone and usually have the item delivered, free shipping. I enjoy shopping at Kohl's and, to date, have never had a bad experience in any of the stores. read more

If I could rate this place 4.5 stars I would but I decided I should round up :). There are some brands that can't be found here but CAN be found at Macy's. However, the prices here are hard to beat (they even compete with online pricing which is saying something!). The customer service here is what really gives this place 10 stars. All I had to do was ask for a pair of slacks that I was looking for and the good fellow decided to take it upon himself to follow me around for an entire 5 minutes as I collected different pairs under his advising wing. If it's saying anything, I came in here looking for one pair and ended up leaving with three and I sure as heck am not leaving with Buyers Remorse. Bravo Kohl's on a job well done. If I ever have to go shopping for clothes I know where my #1 go to place is. Thank you! read more

I'm SO disappointed with my Champaign Kohl's store. I shopped twice this week, and this store is terribly maintained. The crazy cloth carts are all ripped out in the bottom, and filthy. All departments I shopped were messy and understocked, especially around the clearance areas. The fitting rooms were the worst, clothing piled (which should be on the floor to buy), and if you happened to let a garment touch the floor, it was covered in dust and dirt. They need sales help, stocking help, housekeeping BADLY. I'm VERY sad about my favorite store declining, worried Kohl's is going the way of Bergners. read more

The selection is great, aisles neatly kept and discount/sales have gotten me through the last several Christmases. The return department is second to none.
