I can't say much for the in-store experience since I did an online pick-up. But that went great. I've been looking for a certain lotion I like and found it at this location and on sale. I ordered and it was ready for pick up within a couple of hours. I got in line at the front of the store that was for pickup and returns and an employee came by asking if anyone in line was there for a pick-up. She then retrieved my order and I was on my way. I haven't been a fan of Kohls but they have finally pushed me to give them a review. I hate that they give you coupons but many items are not coupon eligible. I hate that they went to one check out queue. The store handles online orders, pick up, Amazon, etc. it adds to the junkiness of the store. Boxes, stacks, items everywhere. Today my problem was that my mother in law forgot to pay her bill. She is 86 and in a nursing home. I said no problem. I'll go by and pay her bill. She gives me a check and the stub from her bill. Apparently you can't give Kohls any money unless I have her charge card or her drivers license. I have to say if they are trying to get people not to shop there, they are succeeding. read more

I came here for a online order return and then browsed a little bit. I have never been a fan of this location. For the nicer area that it is in, it should be nicer. The staff was not helpful or friendly. The store often looks like a tornado went through it and this visit was no exception. They do not tend to have things in stock that other locations do. The dressing rooms were not open due to the pandemic, so honestly I put back my items and left. Id made enough trips buying things online without trying them on and then having to return them. I like Kohl's in general and have had good experiences here at this particular location. The prices here are pretty decent and they have a large selection of clothing for juniors, misses, women, and petites. I really enjoy the housewares selection and this has been my go-to place to purchase pieces of Fiestaware, which are the dishes I use in my home. The only other place I have found Fiestaware in store, is Macy's and the prices there are usually much higher. This Kohl's had a little makeover from its original incarnation - nothing too dramatic, but it does mean you will now find customer service up front instead of in the back. That does make returns and the like very easy to do. Departments didn't seem to move around, and you can still find all of the areas you'd expect at Kohl's, with the various clothing areas, shoes, cooking, household, and the like. You can also find games/toys, greeting cards, and home decor here too. One piece of information I learned here is in regards to trying to do exchanges without a receipt. Even exchanges are straight forward, but I was unable to locate the correct size (which was the issue with the items for which I needed to do an exchange - gifts that were in the wrong size) for what I had. If you end up in the boat where you need to find other items for which to exchange, as well, you may want to check in with customer service first for the explanation. But what i was told was to look at the original unmarked price of the item on the tag (if you even have it on the item - otherwise you can ask them to scan it and get the prices), and then choose something that has the same exact original price (ignoring all sale signs). You can't spread the price over multiple items, it has to be a one-to-one exchange with this original price match. Yeah, so if you have a gift receipt, it's much easier to bring it! If not, you may need to plan extra time for your visit to search out something that meets the guidelines. Otherwise, good location, nice sized parking lot, and friendly staff. read more

Not the biggest fan of Kohl's however they are the only ones who carry Sealy Posture Pedic Pillows which i love! The layout of the store is nice and easy to navigate. the prices however are bit to much for me and quality of clothing is not particularly my style. This is a typical Kohl's - except the customer service/return area is at the front left as you walk in - which is totally awesome and helpful, so whoever thought of this was a genius! Thank you! The thing I like about Kohl's is that you can find some great deals! You just have to watch and wait...be patient. Be prepared to use your coupons, buy when they offer Kohl's cash, then use that for sale items or clearance items and you can find some excellent deals. Also make sure you get the Kohl's Rewards Card so you get your points when you shop and earn even more free $$ and who doesn't want free $$?? Seems to be very easy to return items. Sometimes you just have to look through the racks for the right sizes as they can be a little messy, but for the most part always a good experience. read more

Kohl's has several departments and is a great store if you are looking to purchase items from various categories. I like the store because it is a one stop shop. I had to exchange a pair of pants for a different size that I received as a gift, and it was painless. No one was in line for returns. Granted, it was on a weeknight but definitely after Christmas. The sales lady was very quick to exchange my item, and there was no hassle. It was quick and, quick out-just the way returns should be! I was at this Kohl's location (9201 Fields Ertel Road, Cincinnati, Ohio) on 10/11/20. While at the store, I was closely monitored by a white male employee. Based on the embarrassing details of the situation, which can be corroborated by viewing security footage, it became obvious that I was the target of racial profiling. I confronted this white male employee who apologized "if I felt that way." First, that is not an apology. Second, I do not need an apology. This individual needs to reflect on his behavior and the underlying reasons why he engaged in that behavior. I asked to speak with his supervisor. She informed me that she would "talk" with him...The following are details of my account and lived experience: After completing an Amazon return/drop-off, I went to the women's shoes' section. There was a white male employee nearby who walked over to the women's shoes as I did. Initially, I did not think anything of it as he seemed to be organizing shoes. I quickly noticed that he was moving from aisle to aisle just as I did. He walked when I walked, and stopped when I stopped, always nearby. I continued to look at shoes and my "shadow" followed me just a few feet away. I walked over to the main aisle way, which gave me a good view of what he was "doing." I was shocked to see he was randomly and barely pushing around shoe boxes. I thought, shouldn't he be completing one task of organizing all the shoe boxes in one area at a time and then move to the next?? I went to the girls' shoe section where there was nothing for me and found that my "shadow" followed me there as well. My initial suspicions were slowly being confirmed. I was being watched, monitored, and followed. I tried to disregard this suspicion but being a woman of color and the employee being a white male who seemed to be in lockstep with my every move...the facts were blatantly clear. I confronted this employee, who apologized "if I felt that way," and then asked to be taken to his supervisor. I calmly shared the facts of what I experienced and observed. She informed me that she never had any complaints made against this employee. That's fine, but his behavior in that moment was the issue. Also, none of my information was taken down and no discussion was had about elevating the issue or ensuring that this does not happen again. In addition, how many people of color feel comfortable speaking up to white individuals especially given the political climate of our country?? At one point, this supervisor appeared to turn away and roll her eyes. She then walked away asking the male employee to follow after her. That's the gist of it. Kohl's carries Black Lives Matter (BLM) apparel. I support this cause and truly hope that the decision to carry BLM merchandise was from a position of support, advocacy, and being an ally. The Kohl's cooperation's "said support" should extend into the culture of each store and not only be reflected in merchandise, off of which a profit is made. Additionally, this support, advocacy, and being an ally should be instilled for all Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). I am happy to know that Kohl's supports BLM and diversity; however, it seems that the location (9201 Fields Ertel Road, Cincinnati, Ohio) did not get the memo... As a woman of color and human being, I work to constantly evaluate my personal biases. That is, I am not one who assumes each white person I see is racist. Not. At. All. That is completely inconsistent with my life experiences. However, I have had my share of racist experiences and am able to evaluate nonverbals and behaviors. Overall, I am sharing my experience with the hopes that Kohl's takes actionable steps to make all human beings feel welcomed in all of their stores across the USA. read more

While shopping Kohl's Fields Ertel, I was followed by individual and at check out, the loud speaker called out "shoes"?? I bought a pair of shoes?? I seldom shop this store, and ALWAYS pay for my purchases via my personal ATM card. It appears I was targeted for potential shop lifting. I am white and elderly, and CAN PAY for my purchases. Very nice Kohls the staff is friendly and the clothing selection is nice and they are clean at this one. The floor is clean. The staff is always nice and they have wifi. The return policy is great. We bought a pair of shoes that were to tight. We thought we were buying wide but they were not ! I like Kohls and this location is great. read more

Kohls is pretty much Kohls wherever you go. I've basically seen the exact same people at every store. This Kohls is no different. They have some decent deals, no clothes for fat people and ridiculous prices on most things that make their "Discount" prices pretty much the normal price. read more

placed my order on Saturday. When I received the first part of the order on Wednesday, I received two completely mismatched shoes. I called customer service and requested the correct shoes be overnighted to me free of charge. I was given the option of placing a 2nd order with overnight delivery (which involved charging my card again) or sending out the correct shoes, but I would have to wait 3-5 business days for standard shipping. I told the representative David (ID 2978122) that was not acceptable and he needed to find a way to make it happen, because they screwed up, not me. He repeated the same thing again and I said then we need to involve a supervisor bc that's not acceptable. So, I'm cold transferred to a supervisor named Josh (ID 2645177) who tells me the same thing but in a very unprofessional, unsympathetic manner. Worst customer service I've ever experienced and he had no business being in retail or a service based role. I'm over shopping at Kohls anymore. Always difficult to navigate this store when looking for a size or item in any of the ladies departments. It's a mess, styles, sizes and brands mixed up and clothes shuffled through and falling off the hangers and on the floor. I've never seen anyone helping customers or putting things in order. Where to start with this location. I've been screamed at by a manager on a Saturday afternoon busy time because I had asked a question that just kept being ignored, sorry but if someone asks a question just give them an answer instead of sit there and fight with them in front of the entire store. I was just in Kohl's the other night when I was ready to check out. I went to the line and waited for me turn. I was the only one in line for the record. 15 minutes later and the two ladies who were at the registers decided they were finally not busy and could help me. I won't mention the time a lady working here came screaming into the dressing rooms we close in fifteen minutes everyone needs to hurry up!!!!! To say the least the people they choose to hire at this store lack customer service in every aspect. I try not to go to this location, or to any Kohl's at all honestly anymore. The middle aged women who think they are too good to be working there so they ignore you, are very rude, and have that disgusted look on their face is enough for me to take my business elsewhere. Oh and those Kohl's Cash coupons why bother they either expire one week once you get them, or they come up with some weird excuse as to why you can't use them. I was in the store yesterday and heard them tell a customer that to return something she would have to go get in line with the checkout people. Well I was in line probably 50 people deep. She stood in line to buy the item (I'm sure). now stand again in line to return or exchange. Totally wrong. Need to leave at least one checkout in customer service for returns.
