I have shopped here twice since moving back to the area 2 months ago, both times a disappointment. Tried to purchase an OVERPRICED birthday gift for my mom. It was worn, pilled and stained! Whoever the manager of this store is, they're forcing the employees to push the Kohl's credit cards WAY TOO MUCH. To the point where they're being misleading to customers and making them think they're signing up for a rewards card. They intentionally call it a "Kohl's card" so you think it's just a rewards card. They did it to me and they did it to my boyfriend. Two separate instances. Bought two packs of socks and two packs of underwear (both hanes/fruit of the loom) and the total was like $60. Overpriced, but my biggest gripe is the credit cards. read more

A Kohl's is a Kohl's- right? Well, sort of. I like Kohls, I've been to quite a few, and this one used to be pretty good. The store was clean, well stocked, and you could find a staff member for help if necessary. This is not the case any more. As the economy slowed down this Kohls has really deteriorated. The store is poorly stocked, very disorganized, and it's really hard to find staff to help you locate an item in the store. Do I still go to this Kohl's- yes. But much less frequently . I prefer the store by the Meridian Mall but it is out of the way. read more

While I will continue to shop at Kohl's for the prices (see pro-tip, below), our experience at the Saginaw Highway store left a sour taste in our mouths. A Kohl's employee was standing at a register, apparently not busy, so we asked her if her lane was open. She looked around and instructed us to move to a different register where a different employee was folding clothes. While we checked out, the first employee was clearly put out by attending to us (no kindness, smiles, or even small talk), and the second employee was griping about a customer leaving the clothes at the cash register for her to fold. It wasn't necessarily that she was off base, but the result was an extremely unpleasant shopping experience. Excuse us for paying you! Like the reviewers before me have suggested, I might try the store by the Meridian Mall next time. (Pro-tip: you should never pay full price for anything at Kohl's -- there are always sales and coupons.) read more

The Lansing MI store is the worst store in the USA. Never enough cashiers, merchandise all over the floor, and a dozen employees walking around doing nothing. The clothing departments look like a teenage bedroom with mountains of discarded clothes and shoes. What store manager can be proud of that store? read more

I agree with one reviewer here. It's unorganized and is so off-putting. I too like the one by Meridian Mall much more too. What happened here?! Shopping isn't as fun when you come to this one. Here's some advice, organize the stores all in the same way! Women are your most profitable customers, and we tend to turn right in a store, away from the cash. Just my 2 cents. Meridian had it right. I dont go to this one so much. Just feels like work. read more

Huge store, big selection, mostly nice staff. I've had a few situations with the staff where I felt like it mattered more to them that they were right and/or justified by corporate policy than to please the customer, but those times were few and far between. Generally, a nice place to shop and conveniently located on the west side of town near my work. read more

The Lansing and Okemos stores ALWAYS look like a clothing bomb exploded in them. It doesn't matter if you are there at the open or closing of the store. IT'S A MESS. I stopped shopping there and now go to Penney's or Macy's where the clothes are folded neatly and orderly. At Kohl's you'll find an XXL item on a hanger marked S. Kohl's has ONE register open and 15 employees walking around doing absolutely nothing. They call for "additional cashiers" but they NEVER show. Save yourself the aggravation and shop ELSEWHERE! I have shopped at this Kohl's since it opened. I shop there less and less. Reason: there is nothing of value to shop for. I use to be able to find everything I was looking for. There was a variety to choose from. No more. Even the rugs are pitiful ! I had to go to Penny's to get what I needed. The variety of rugs is a lesser quality than you would expect from a Meijer store ! The womens clothing is a waste of time. Also, I started a dish pattern for Holiday entertaining, only it can't be completed, they no longer carry this. I keep getting percent off coupons, they go in the trash ! Nothing there to buy !
