I have a love/hate relationship with mall stores like this one. They offer their merchandise at…read morehigher prices to pay for the mall rent. When they have a sale, it's often minor. However, I've managed to get some great clearance deals with The Finish Line, but generally not with their competitors. Today was not one of those days. While they had a couple of sales on Brooks running shoes overall, it looked mostly as though they were trying to clear out the non-mainstream colour combinations. The same model shoe but in a muted or conservative colour scheme was full price. I'm sure they have to do more with Nike, Adidas, and Reebok because most stores will have those. Over the years, I've found that The Finish Line has shirts and other gear on good sales, but you have to keep up with their weekly sales and impromptu mark downs. Two of the staffers asked to help me and one stayed quite a while to discuss things. Surprisingly, there was no high pressure, although they asked repeatedly if I'd like to try something. They were both pleasant, thankfully, which isn't all that common in my experience.

As I have seen other hot topics will have more merchandise than this one. My service hasn't been horrible but it's not the best. One time me and my sister went there and they had two Digital Circus shirts there, and they were both in the last chance rack. The only thing they have here now are just squishes. Even those aren't that great, $10 for 1, and the quality isn't that great. I have the Pomni and Jax one, and the pomni already had stress marks on it, and Jax looks like a dead grape after you squeeze it once. I wish they could leave the Muncie Mall and open in one of these closed stores all over the place.

There are bargains galore but you have to be willing to find them. They have everything from toiletries to electronics to baby stuff to small appliances and bicycles. And most of it has an additional percentage off. I was told by an employee that they get returns from Amazon and Target. They also get items where the packaging is damaged or items that were overstocked. There were some very well known brands in shoes and clothing. I saw an entire area just with Ugg boots and slippers. There were Vineyard Vines, Gap, and Banana Republic clothes, among many other brands. Some areas of the store were well organized. Some had so much on the shelf it was sometimes hard to take it all in. My big win was a Cuisinart Toaster oven/air fryer. My daughter is getting married and she had the exact same model on her registry for $229. They did have several with damaged boxes for $229 and they were half off. But I found one that was out of the box. It had the paperwork and all of the racks still wrapped inside and was marked $139.99. And I got half off. So $70 for an item that normally costs $229. Winner winner. I will definitely be back to see what other bargains can find.

Ryan ended up saving us a nice amount of money by making it a group rental with our son, and this caring really stuck out with us. All Goodwill's are getting out of hand with their pricing and this one is no different. This is…read morealso a part of the Central Indiana Goodwill group so no discounts at all. I try to stop at all Goodwill locations I pass because you never know what you will find. I still did find some t-shirts I liked and a coat. Out of season for a coat but that makes the selection better in my opinion. There was a pair of shoes that I liked in the store also but I am unwilling to pay $15 in a Goodwill for a pair of shoes, my max is $9.99. I have to set limits somewhere. I did not take a look at the home decor in this Goodwill as I was short on time and I will stop in another time to take a look at their selection of jeans although I really do not need any of them. 3 stars because it wasn't bad just watch the pricing and be prepared to try things on in the aisles as there are no dressing rooms in any Central Indiana Goodwills.
