You are better off, donating your clothes and getting a tax write off. They pretty much steal your clothes for what they offer you!

Everytime I go in there, and I mean EVERY TIME, there's an older blonde lady who is absolutely rude. Don't go in there and stand around cause the most helpful thing you're going to get is a very straight, "can I help you" in the most annoyed voice, like you're taking up space. I imagine the brunette owns the place, and she's usually sweet as can be, but the other older blonde woman makes it hard to go in there because I know exactly how she's going to treat me. read more

This is my third time trying to sell clothes at this location and all my experiences have been horrible. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt today, but I left feeling very unsatisfied. first off, the two older white females, both had weird attitudes as I came in. I was very kind when I walked in and greeted them but did not receive the same energy back. i have mostly new items that i bring in and I always wash and fold my items neatly. The only words the women spoke to me were give me your Id and to come back at 7:30. I am extremely upset and feel as if they take me as a joke. They have poor taste and if your young and have great taste you DONT want to go there. Lastly, one of the workers was CHEWING as she approached me and smacked her food while speaking to me. I decided to donate a large basket full of name brand trendy clothes that either still had the tags on them or were gently used. When i returned to get my clothes and cash i was greeted with my basket of clothes. I received no money because the clothes were "not stylish" and "worn". I would not recommend going here unless you enjoy being humiliated and treated with an attitude of a child. Humble yourself. read more

People are definitely right about trying to sell to them. I brought in a PACKED basket of nicely kept, recent, and name brand clothing. I come back in an hour like they told me to, the original salesperson was sweet. Needless to say, just like the other reviews, they passed on all of it. My clothes were "heavily worn" and "too old". This includes very nice dresses that were bought not even a year ago. My clothes have always been hung up and taken care of. You're telling me there's not one single thing she was interested in? Not only that, when I got it back and took it home, my basket had been only rummaged through. Not carefully looked at, and the bottom half was completely untouched. Not even picked up to consider each thing. They rejected everything they say they buy. They'll choose walmart clothes over nice ones. Do not recommend selling to them, don't waste your time. read more

This location is clean and well staffed. Clothing was priced well for older garments, but nearing 20 to 30 for newer items. Also my girlfriend and I were impressed with the quality of the used shoes. Alot of care was taken to clean the shoes as much as possible. Most were 25 to 40 in the womens. There is very little plus sized clothing at this location. If you like gently used designer clothing, and have money to burn check them out. read more

I love the deals and selection at Platos Closet Muncie! The staff does a great job keeping the inventory selection new and clean.

This is my go-to place for jeans, shorts and khakis to wear to work (I work at a restaurant and don't want to stain my full-price stuff with grease, bleach and who knows what else). On my last trip, I snagged two pairs of like-new Old Navy shorts for $4. However, don't waste your time selling here. I'm not sure what they're looking for exactly, but the box I brought full of Express, Arden B and other high-end name brands didn't make the cut. Out of the entire thing (which probably had a good $600-$700 worth of clothes in it), they gave me $10 for a couple shirts. They told me that the other stuff "were good name brands, but too worn." Really? Because most of this stuff had been dry-cleaned and very well taken care of. And as I perused the racks at Plato's, I saw an awful lot of shrunken, faded, cheaply-made stuff that somebody else got cold, hard cash for bringing in. They seem to want only brand new clothes, but there's just one problem... this is a used clothing store. At least the staff is generally knowledgable, nice and over the age of 12, unlike the Fishers store. read more

I was highly disappointed with my visit today! I toke in multiple bags of clothes and was denied it all! It was all VS Pink and American Eagle. Just bought stuff within the last few months. The lady treated me like I was garbage and was rude! She told me everything has stains, but none of the bags were even opened. !! She judges people once they walk in and decides who to get clothes from. She will also change the amounts on each person to give her "friends" more money. read more

I like going hear for nice, used jeans and the workers are usually pretty nice. They vary so much in pricing sometimes though it's hard to tell if going through everything is even worth it. I have also tried to sell clothes there. I had a full tote of name brand clothes, most with the tag. I just wasn't wearing them and they only pulled out two things and said the rest were stained or had excessive wear. This would be fine were it not for the fact that everything was exactly like it was when I put it on there like they didn't even go through everything. Seems like half of the time you get someone good and the other you just get some lazy person. I'm sure I'll still but the occasional clothing item but I won't even waste my time trying to sell clothes. read more

This is a pretty small Plato's, but I have been coming here for years and I have found some really nice items at good prices! I will say it is very hard to sell anything here however, I have never had much luck! Oh well, I'll just keep finding good deals on new clothes! Lol read more
