Located in a very safe part of town, in a very easy to access location right off of Metcalf and 119th St, Kohls is there to service almost all of your clothing needs, along with other offerings that one might need for the house. I've walked through the all sections and observed the place is very clean and sterile, a much-appreciated attention to detail aspect. That said I didn't see many employees walking around so if you have questions, you'll have to be proactive and hunt them down for yourself. The floorplan is exactly like every other Kohl's so the customer should have no issues getting around. Small stuff first. The kitchen section has a few nicer items but is marked up a lot from a regular experience, sometimes by a lot. So if you want Bobby Flay's pan set, break out the plastic baby it's gonna cost ya! Next the bedroom supplies aren't marked up that much and should have something to satisfy most people. For instance they have pillows, not specialized items but a sizable list of generic ones (could be name brand but I'm not a pillow expert). The kids might be a little sour on the toy section. It's not very big. I can't speak on the womens section. Oh wait, I did have to buy some tights for running a half marathon and since it's done at the end of winter they're readily available. The only pair I could find were womans yoga pants. That's right, I ran a half marathon with 30k other people in womens yoga pants (relax I had shorts on over them). Anyways the point is they do have something for everyone. As for the mens section it's decent. The available styles are extremely generic, lacking anything trendy. It's like dating the guy or girl which dress ok but have no knowledge of what's in fashion NOW. Their sports apparel section in terms of clothing for exercise is very good, but unless you have a local team, it's for the masses. So what do I buy here? Dress pants, dress shirts, dress belts and the occasional "Kramer" shirt. But if you're debating socks, underwear, tshits and so on, you're better off choosing that big red or blue store. As for their shoes, they do have a decent collection but void of top performance or style shoes. Overall, Kohl's is very middle America in terms of financial tier, the mentality and corporate targeting. Shopping here isn't as cheap as those big box places however it's not as expensive as those NY style department stores. This particular Kohls is safe with good employees and a lot of decent, albeit dated products. Stop on buy if you're buying a little something for yourself or family and want to save a buck while not looking completely out of touch. read more

I ordered a Mario backpack online for my nephew's birthday. I received the order today, but when I opened the box, the back pack was a pink VIBES girl back pack. The shipping information CLEARLY indicated I had ordered a MARIO back pack. I took the back pack to the KOHL's store and got a refund (shipping was free because I had spent over $45). I asked the clerk if they had the MARIO back pack in stock, and she indicated that she did not see one in inventory. When I got back home, I tried to reorder the correct pack but the web site indicated that they were out of stock. In addition, the back pack was $35 which meant that I would have to add another item to get the same free shipping. I found the exact same back pack from Amazon and it was $10 cheaper so I ordered it (no shipping charge) read more

Shocked at how bad this store was on a Friday afternoon. In total disarray, low on items in every department except bras plenty of bras and underwear! No more price check stations throughout store. Probably a. people change their mind whereas at register won't catch it and b. At the kiosk they would just leave it hanging close by. Retail is declining rapidly but if stores want to have a chance start in the brick and mortar and clean your house up get your product stocked or at least straighten what you have. An older lady cashier with curly grey hair, wearing no mask, thought it would be funny to give me sass about my wearing a mask and my service dog not wearing one. I didn't realize shopping at Kohl's was a political situation. Guess what, fully vaccinated people who are immune compromised shouldn't have to trust others to be responsible and certainly should not experience harassment for deciding to protect themselves. Ok, so my expectations for Kohl's was pretty low coming from a city where every Kohls I entered look like a tornado hit it. I'm talking food all over the floors, wet clothing in the dressing rooms (hopefully, it was just water). Just a horrible experience. You can see why I was pleasantly surprised when I entered this location. It was clean and quiet in the middle of the day on a Sunday. Spent the entire time at this location being followed by an employee, I probably had a couple hundred bucks in merchandise, but after seeing the same person checking me out for the 5th time, I promptly left everything in the cart and walked out. I understand loss prevention, but I've never done anything to raise suspicion and it's rather annoying having the same employee over my shoulder for half an hour. Practically every outfit anyone sees me in is bought at Kohl's. I had Kohl's cash on me yesterday, that expired if I didn't use it. I bought a purple blouse, on sale 75% off, for only .43, cause it cost $10.00. Some Kohl's are better than others. Some have more options. I liked this Kohl's. The sales were everywhere, with great buys. The staff were great, short lines of under 2 customers. I always glance at Kohl's handbags. Every single Kohl's, the handbags are the same. I mostly buy Vera Bradley, Aigners, and Coach, which aren't at Kohl's. I like to look at wallets. I've bought more than a few at Kohl's. Not this store. I found the wallets to be in slight disarray, but I think the employees were busy and didn't have time to arrange the shelf. Sometimes the inexpensive wallets don't seem to hold up very well. I did though, like the kitchen appliance section. Very unique items. All Kohl's seem to have different kitchen appliances. Pretty nice store. My wife and I went into Kohls today, to spend our $35 worth of Kohls cash. So it took a while to choose what I wanted because I did not want to go too much over our "budget" for the day. With that being said I was followed by two different employees due to my indecisiveness. I was able to let that go, but then when it was time for me to check out I mentioned I was waiting for my wife (since), she was the one with the Kohls cash bar code to scan. And this older black lady from St. Louis {I heard} plus (IM BLACK) - with short hair had the audacity to tell me " oh you're one of those guys" when I mentioned I was waiting for my wife. Without even knowing why I was waiting. Then as we checked out my wife reached for the bag and she decided to force the bag into my hands assuming I'm not a gentlemen saying "oh no he's got it" as we were checking out. This is the closest Kohls to our house, but I will refuse to have her check me out under any condition the next time we decide to visit IF we decide to visit. I just wanted to have a chill day and pick out some clothes using my wife's Kohls cash. Unacceptable and unnecessary comments and attitude by the cashier of all people. read more

Kohl's is Kohl's. I go there because I know what I am going to get, it is consistent, reasonably priced, and reliable. It is easy to return things. How great is that, right! Return anything anytime. However, what I found out shocked and totally grossed me out. Perhaps the concept of taking any item back is not as good as we consumers sometimes believe. You can choose to read on or reset comfortably in your ignorance. My wife and I found a designer brand set of bedding that was supposed to consist of 4-pieces, a comforter, bed skirt, and two pillow shams. We were excited that we found a nice designer label on a large sale. We bought it. The package looked OK. It was closed tight with a security lock. No problems, right? Naturally we went right home to put it on the bed. So, we are taking the bed apart and getting ready to put the bed skirt on. Whoa, no bed skirt. This was awfully annoying considering we had taken a rather heavy bed all apart to put the skirt on. We decided to repackage the entire thing and return it to the store for an exchange. As we are refolding the comforter we notice disgusting stains on the comforter. Stains that shall remain unnamed. The unnamed stains. Apparently the set had been used and returned to the store. The store repackaged and left the bed skirt out and apparently didn't notice the unnamed stains. IT WAS BAD ENOUGH THAT THE SKIRT WAS MISSING, BUT TO DSICOVER THE ENTIRE THING HAD BEEN USED AND STAINED. Someone had apparently slept with the comforter before. How disgusting is that!?! Yes, Kohl's and probably other stores take back bed linens that others have used, repackage and sell them. So, the moral of the story, "always wash your supposedly new bed linens prior to sleeping on them or you may be sleeping on something you don't want to think about. read more

Worst customer experience at any department store. I'm not sure what is going on with Kohl's but please hire more people and train them. Out of the three people I interacted with today only one was competent and two did not know about the coupons being offered although they were pushy about getting me to sign up. Wow, you get great service if you want a charge card, but abysmal support if you have any other need. Plan to buy something? Prepare to wait 10-20 min to check out. #fail read more

i like Kohl's. Sure, some of their stuff is crap, but they have some nice designers - Chaps, Dana Bachman and Simply Vera Vera Wang (long name) - great sales plus the always elusive 30% off. When I get my flyer in the mail and I peel off the sticker to reveal a 30% OFF!!!!!! - Life is good!!!! New stuff for everyone!! NIke apparel, Dockers and athletic shoes for my husband and son. Even my picky daughter has found cute juniors clothes here. I have purchased lots of household items - towels, rugs, sheets - as well as some kitchen items and luggage. If you want to dig through the discount racks, you can find great bargains. The sales associates are generally friendly and helpful. Sometimes, the lines get a bit long, but rarely do I have to wait very long. If you shop here, be sure to get a Kohl's charge card. The discounts are well worth the hassle of another credit card payment to remember. read more

This is one of the larger stores in the Kansas area which is a huge plus. The store is typically clean inside and out. Sometimes it is noticeable how busy this location gets with some of the dressing rooms being full of clothes. I have never had any customer service issues or complaints here and usually prefer coming here when I have a return or exchange to process. I live between this location and the Lenexa store (on 95th) and prefer coming here. There is adequate parking as well. read more

I remember going to the Kohl's in my hometown and it being clean and organized, but this place is a disaster! I went in to get one item and needed to walk to the back of the store. On the way, walked passed the lingerie department... mostly on the floor... disgusting. The men's department across the aisle was sloppy, jackets hanging over racks or on the floor. The display was even mostly on the floor! I would not shop here unless they are the very last place I could find an item I'm looking for. I was not greeted by anyone and didn't actually see anyone you worked there until I got to the register. read more

So frustrated with your company. Selected three pairs of slacks for my mother who is in a nursing home. I am the court appointed conservator for her finances and we have to track her expenses and make purchases with a check. Kohl's would not take the Bank of America check for $90 even though I'm listed on the check along with my mother. Countless other retailers have honored this checking account and have accepted these checks. Why Kohl's is declining a $90 check when there is a huge balance in her Checking account is beyond me. I have a Kohl's card but will never use it again. I'm done with this retailer. read more
