Staying at the hotel, we chose to meet the family for dinner at Kolya. I immediately had a knee jerk, reaction: "At the hotel? We're eating at the hotel? WHY?" I was scared, and initially disappointed when I found out that we were eating in the hotel
I was wrong.
The service was as good and cheerful as anywhere that I've been. And the food was quite good. I partook of their Goose liver Foie Gras (difficult to find goose liver in the States...) and the salt baked fish, one of my always favorites.
I eagerly returned for breakfast every morning to find that, while the complimentary breakfast was the same, day to day, it was of pretty solid quality.
Oh, and they have Chokotoffs in the candy tray on the way out. If you don't know what a chokotoff is, then... I'm not sure why you're even in Belgium. read more
