It was hard but I wanted to learn these everyday scenarios that you may come across in this day and age. It's been 6 months although I still get nervous like I did for exams in school but I'm glad I stuck to this. Avi and all the other instructors have their own methods of teaching, however I find each style fascinating as everyone is different. It's a community for sure, everyone supports everyone. Wish I found this place sooner.

We have tried many different martial arts schools before we chose this school as the one for my…read moreson. 1) Unlike other schools that pressure you to commit long term contract with pricey tag, this school offers flexible schedules, most reasonably priced, and pay per month or program. 2) My son loves the instructors here. The instructors here are very friendly, down to earth people that we have ever met. They are absolutely amazing with the kids and they made us feel right at home. The instructors also make it fun to learn while still instilling values of respect & discipline. 3) This place is clean, spacious & very well padded. It also uses nice thick commercial foam flooring which we love. We're thrilled with our experience here and hope to be part of the Kim's Martial Arts family for a very long time.

Despite all of that, when our class was supposed to take place today, our entire group was left standing outside in the cold because the owner simply **forgot** our scheduled class. This was, without question, the most disappointing and unprofessional experience our homeschool group has ever had. Our outings are usually smooth, positive, and well-coordinated, so for something this important to be handled with such carelessness is extremely upsetting. There was absolutely no accountability, no apology that matched the situation, and not even an offer to make up the class they failed to provide. I am deeply disappointed in the lack of responsibility, communication, and basic courtesy shown to our group. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. Their behavior falls far below what one should expect from any business--let alone a martial arts school that claims to teach discipline and respect.

Quick take after first workout since Jamaica's Blink closed…read more Better than JB: -More cardio-- all new Matrix machines -TRX/resistance bands & loops -Classes -App also creates/tracks workouts -Black Card allows for spa access--massage chairs, red light therapy -Less congested part of the Ave. -Same fees, more amenities Worse than JB: -Weird layout--2nd fl. huge cable machine in the middle of small stretching room, less area for stretching, battle ropes -2nd fl. also has only water fountain for entire gym -3rd fl. weights, machines & cardio -- no mats on this floor have to bring one up or alternate btwn floors for machine and functional/bodyweight workout -Blink had double the weight benches. On a Saturday afternoon at PF they were all in use.
