    9/15/17 Kona Jerry is really a 6 star+ caterer. I'd use him again, and have recommended him. Kona Jerry has the most melodic voice and his cooking, persona and display all match! I booked Kona Jerry sight unseen, taste untasted, based on previous Yelp Reviews for a wedding rehearsal dinner for 85 people in Pfeiffer State Park Big Sur and he highly exceeded our expectations. Kona Jerry knocked our socks off! He not only showed up early, and began to set up in the picnic ground, (a site he had never been to before), but the displays of food and even most importantly the taste was amazing! We had bbq ribs, chicken, baked beans, salad, fruit plate, and his incredibly awesome mango macadamia bread and desserts. He brought the set up, plates, cups, plasticware, and even helped us set up a few of our own extras. He brought lemonade and flavored water, in beautiful dispensers. There was no need to supplement. Not only was the food awesome, but Jerry helped us to pack up leftovers, which were consumed the next day. He and one helper did it all. He is a character extraordinaire, and adds to the event! Friends are still talking about the great food. Hats off to Kona Jerry! This is a highest recommendation.

    I have been to several events where Kona Jerry has catered and I even had him cater for my dad's celebration of life when he passed away. At his events I have had chicken, pulled pork, ribs, ranchero style beans, macaroni salad, potato salad, and more! My friend is in LOVE with the papaya vinaigrette and wishes she could have it on all her salads. Also, a lot of people mentioned how much they loved the ribs and how the meat just falls right off the bone! My favorites are his pulled pork and mango macadamia nut bread. I crave them all the time. He also makes delicious mango punch and refreshing fruit infused water. His spreads for events are beautiful. He will lay out flowers on the display and he features two amazing fruit spreads. One with sliced fruit (cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, etc) and another with tropical fruit (mangoes, papayas, dragonfruit, and some I have never even seen or heard of before). I can't say enough how impressed I am with his professionalism, delicious food, beautiful displays, and his warm and welcoming personality. I would recommend him for any type of event you need to plan.

    I was told by word of mouth to try this place out. With all of the Covid-19 issues causing people to be shut in, we are big fans of supporting local business. They deliver, they do pick up, but most importantly, they smoke some DELICIOUS BBQ!!!! The beans and cole slaw were fresh and tasted great. The chicken and ribs were smoked and seasoned well. The tossed salad was extremely good and the dressing was even better. I have to say we are very impressed by the whole experience. Thank you for being open and providing great home cooked meals during this time.

Highly recommend if you're looking for a caterer that's passionate about food and service. From the very beginning Bruce listened to the tastes/foods that were important to us and delivered on our special day. Jordan was a true hero handling our event rentals and making sure we had everything we needed for our bar service. Both were very responsive the entire time, and even hosted us for a tasting a few months prior to the event allowing us to sample what we were getting ourselves in to. I'd like to add that we also played a round of golf with them- these guys really love what they do and the people that they get to work with and it was really special for us to gain friends along the way. She was so easy to work with and her expertise was key in ensuring we had a scrumptious menu that would accommodate seven adults and three kids. I will start by prefacing that La Crème + Holly Farm give their 1000% to every wedding that happens at their venue, which means you won't really begin working with La Crème until about 2-3 months prior to your wedding date. The first month or so will be spent talking through ideas and inspiration, likely doing your tasting (which is a literal 5 star experience) and the last two months is where you will really get a final breakdown of cost and timeline. If you are a slightly anxious/overly organized bride like me, I know this can seem stressful. I suggest you ask them early on for a realistic estimate based on the number of guests and events you will be having. And then..add an extra 15% on top of that, and set that money aside as you are going through your planning process, because trust me, you won't want to skimp on what La Crème has to offer. Now that the money talk is out of the way.. the service and food that La Crème provides is out of this world. We had an Indian/Mexican fusion wedding and had all our food and alcohol handled by La Crème for the entire weekend. It's not a typical process where you pick from a list of options based on a fixed menu with prices. La Crème creates every menu from scratch based on the couple and their preferences, and then they adjust based on your budget. Chef Joe and Tamie's team had just a few conversations with us about our cultures, favorite foods, family preferences and then they created an entire world personalized to who we are as people. Perfectly marrying the cultural cuisines in a fun yet respectful way, taking our request to dedicate a bar to our dads and creating the *cutest* Dad Cave with all their favorite brands of Scotch & Mezcal, and seamlessly making everything appear and disappear like magic. Aside from the food being incredible, our guests felt taken care of at every moment. They are not just caterers, they are the people who make sure you aren't getting too chilly in the evenings, they are the energy keeping the drinks flowing at the bar as friends order round after round (after round), they are your partners when families decide the day of the wedding they are coming and you need to change the seating arrangement, they are a familiar face that comes up to you at the reception and tells you how happy they are for you. They said the put the drinks on the drink bar and said someone else may have taken it. The replaced the drinks but I never got the baked goods THAT I PAID FOR.

And her staff on site was fantastic - they did bussing and made sure everyone was satisfied with their meals. They also made sure that me and my groom had a chance to eat - which I have heard a lot of couples say they never get to eat the food at their wedding (I was determined to - it's the most expensive meal you'll ever have!!). The price was less than what other caterers charge, but with all the service and additional fees it still comes out to a pretty penny. But I'd do it again, because honestly there were no complaints from guests. And it's worth spending money for good food, good service, and happy guests.
