The formula is no different to the Campos you might experience on Wandoo Street, but I dare say the menu is more focused on quick take-away items or easy to prepare in a considerably smaller kitchen at this store. For that reason, there's a display cabinet of cakes, salads and sandwiches but none of the extravagant menu items you may be familiar with from other Campos outlets. The times I've visited the coffee and food have been as good as other Campos outlets, and it's always been super busy. This can make it a tad noisy in such a small space. On that, when it is super busy, seating is at a premium. Don't get your hopes up for a spot but always check upstairs where theres a little more seating available. A fine addition to Brisbane's newest retail precinct.

I recommend scrutinizing their delizioso toasties (Mozzarella and prosciutto omnomnom.) and the veritable selection of cake and cookies. The place gets understandably packed for breakfasts but is well worth a visit when out and about in Annerley.

It's a busy cafe, on a busy stretch of road, so you can expect it to be noisy. The coffee is creamy and strong. The food is worth a mention- try one of their sandwiches. They're yum, and very affordable. I probably come here more for the food than the coffee to be honest (nothing beats a good sanga). Go sit down at long table that runs down the middle of the space, or sit in the window and people watch, or...car watch, as it does look out onto bustling Ipswich Road. The collectables are cute, but I always get the feeling they are more ornamental, an actual part of the shop, rather than goods to be sold. Maybe you'll feel differently and find yourself a nice treat to take home with you. The choice is yours.

And so, following a conversation with this friend, off I went to taste the brew being poured at this Norman Park cafe. I arrived at around 11 and there were a few customers about - two women who I'm guessing had just finished a flex yoga class next door, two mothers catching up and general cafe goers. It was a calm atmosphere even with the air-con technicians attending to the cafe's unit. The space itself is light and breezy. My latte is solid. It's not distinctly any particular blend but it's just a darn good coffee. My friend was right. I also ordered the smashed avocado on sourdough. The bread was fresh and soft - easy to eat delicately and I liked that the avocado came separate to the toast so I could put as little or as much on as I liked. I imagine that locals are loving having this kind of cafe in their hood. And while I won't necessarily drive here specifically for coffee again, if I find myself in this area, I know I have a solid option up my sleeve for a strong coffee.

If you're still looking for bacon and eggs, try the BRAT (order extra sagnaki though!) which is the best breakfast sandwich in Brisbane. It's…read morealways occupied by a cafe, but the name on the door has been changed three times in the past year or two. Nevertheless, it's a nice spot. The inside is an air-conditioned shelter from the complex's hot expanse, and the decor is modern, unassuming, and relaxing. Kafe Krave seems to offer both table or counter service, depending on what you want to do. You see a lot of people placing takeaway coffee orders at the counter and selecting a piece of cake or a salad from the cabinet, but there are also people who opt to settle in at a table and wait to be brought a menu. I found the staff to be very nice and helpful, and my pot of tea was brought promptly (I hate when restaurants let it set at the service counter until it's brewed to the point of bitterness) and with a smile. My companion enjoyed her coffee and said her piece of cake was very satisfactory. Even though Kafe Krave is the latest in a string of cafes in this spot, I hope they last because they definitely deserve to.

The cafe is located at the back of the IGA complex with a generous outdoor patio area away from the main road. There is a concerted effort by the cafe to green up their area with plants (recently rejuvenated with spring on the way) and it really helps to break up the usual car park feel so many cafes can have in shopping centres. For families with young kids there is a great little section set up with plenty of toys to keep your little ones occupied. Having been here a few times I feel like I can confidently say that the food that we've had has been really good and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a great place for breakfast or lunch. There is a slightly Spanish bent to many things but also plenty for those just wanting a snack or something straight forward. I do find the coffee a little inconsistent depending on who is making it, not that it has bad flavor but more that the milk is over heated, perhaps that is just my personal preference though. The service is friendly and prompt regardless of weekday or weekend visits which is important. I just wish they were open on Sunday's and public holidays as we'd probably frequent them more than we do now. All in all this addition to the local cafe scene is a vey welcome one for us in Everton Hills and somewhere I would recommend if you're in the area.
