The project I had done started a couple months back when I was researching pricing on having concrete poured from the back to the front yard, with a pad to store my garbage cans and any other items on the side of the house, as well as stone edging that matched the front of the house to go along the perimeter of the sidewalk. I had an estimated range of pricing I would be happy with for the amount of concrete and the overall scope of work to be done. Several contractors came out to give me quotes but Daniel was the only one who showed up at the time we had scheduled, which is very much appreciated. We talked about the scope of work, materials required and the timeframe for getting everything done. The pricing for the project was within the range I had researched before so I decided to go ahead and sign on with Daniel for the job. The concrete pour was a single day job. Daniel and his crew showed up in the morning to get all the prep work done and were very accommodating to some of the minor changes that I wanted to implement to the final design. Once that was done it was time to pour, which went about as smoothly as it could've gone. Finally we got the materials required to have the stonework done for the edging on the sidewalk. The materials were delivered to the house the day before and Daniel was again on time the next day to get the project done. We again talked about a couple minor changes to the final design (part of which was suggested by one of his crew) and this was another single day job. Daniel was able to come by the house and clean up everything from the project before I started getting issues from my lovely HOA. Again, overall Daniel did an amazing job, I'm particular about the work done on my house and he was very accommodating with any changes or issues I had. Since I had no use for it, it was just dead space. I decided to convert it into a bookcase. Roberto, the carpenter, was punctual for both the initial consultation and the job itself. He built the bookcase onsite to my specifications, using stainable wood with adjustable shelves. Other quotes I received claimed the work couldn't be done properly due to the room's wainscoting and chair rail, but Roberto handled it with ease. His craftsmanship is top-notch, and the price was reasonable. Here are some photos from mid-demolition and the final raw result. I plan to have the bookcase stained and caulked around the edges to complete the project. This is part of a larger renovation, and I already have painters lined up. I'll post another picture once it's finished. In the next 1-2 years, we'll be gutting our kitchen, and I definitely plan to use Roberto for our cabinets. Don't hesitate to give him a call. We also had them seal our concrete decking and put mastic in all the joints. He was very patient with all our MANY questions before and during the process. There were two things that impressed us most. 1) Mark was present. There was a step that we were particularly nervous about and he stayed through that step and personally ensured that it all went well. He is very busy and couldn't be there for the entire time, but showed up every day to make sure his guys knew what to do and did it correctly. 2) He made sure that everything was cleaned up once it was done. We are very particular and we are happy with the clean up. We did not have to clean up after his workers. Because he stays very busy, you may need to wait awhile for him to get to you, but it is worth the wait. We would recommend him for any project that he has the resources to do. He went over and above my estimate of pics to be hung. Also he installed the 30 handles I had purchased. I did miscalculate the amount of handles needed. It needed two more for the guest bathroom. I asked if when I received the handles if he would mount them as well as hang two small pics that were missed. He told me that would not be a problem. I contacted him when the items arrived and he said he would work me in. He did not work me in. I contacted him again and he was apologetic and said he would work me in again (paraphrasing) which so far he hasn't. It has been almost two months and I decided to update my review rather than contact him again. I firmly believe that in the customer services business which Andrew's company obviously is, I have found that the proof of whether a company provides world class service or does not is usually not in the initial job but mostly in the follow up when commitment to ones word becomes paramount. Not every job goes as planned. The companies I pick who live up to their own commitment continue to get rewarded by other paying jobs. This job was a be back type. No remuneration just a small business owner standing up for his own word. If he felt he needed to get paid a trip charge he did not express it to me.
