I really wanted to like this service. The food is fresh, they use quality ingredients, it is delivered daily. I had two issues that caused me to cancel my service. First, the macro count makes little sense, I've actually gained weight while subscribing. For breakfast, I'm getting waffles that are pure sugar with a few berries and honey, or some sort of overnight oats concoction, or some sort of chia pudding, etc. All are sky high in sugar, low in protein (9 g, 11 g, thereabouts), and not particularly filling. So I'm hungry, snacking more than I would ordinarily, and eating meals that are just not what I should be eating. Second, they are entirely inflexible with their meals. You can only exclude three items; as it turns out, there are more than three foods I don't enjoy (and I'm guessing I'm not the only person who maybe doesn't like a few different vegetables or condiments or proteins). At first, I was told that my only option was to buy a custom plan which is even more highly priced than the normal plan. When I stated an intent to cancel my service, suddenly I could exclude certain items. Only, even then, I'm getting more meals I'd rather not eat than those that align with my palette. Look, if you're Mikey from the Life cereal commercials and will eat anything, this might be a good option for you. But it wasn't for me. read more

I have celiac disease so I am deathly allergic to gluten. I've tried other meal services like Green Chef which was inconvenient and Cook Unity which gave me food poisoning and probably gluten cross contact. Kooshi is a boutique business in downtown LA and they deliver it to my door EVERY day which is incredible, I've never had that in a meal prep service. The person I talked to said the kitchen is 100% gluten free so I have nothing to worry about. They also ask you a couple of dislikes when you sign up and I listed oats because I seem to react to even gf oats so I just avoid them. They always seem to try new things and keep things interesting. I particularly have enjoyed some of the Asian cuisine for lunch and finger as well as the strawberry, blueberry, and cinnamon gf waffles in the morning! They also list macros on each container so I can put it into my calorie tracking app. I love Kooshi and I plan to stay with them forever! read more

I truly enjoyed this service. I did the 10 day plan (Breakfast and Lunch) and had the vegetarian plan modified to a vegan diet with 1200 calories in mind. The food was tasty, and plenty of it for me. I was using Methodology for a year and their quality control slipped (not enough fresh veg, over cooked, too much nutritional yeast and tofu steaks, didn't pick up the boxes, marginal customer service, and BTW, I didn't loose a pound), but I'm so freaking busy I couldn't make the switch. I'm so glad I finally did because I found KOOSHI! I do the veg plan, and the food is super fresh, delicious, and convenient. Don't get turned off by not being able to select your meals, just trust them. Their breakfast-lunch-dinner (if I eat it at the right time) seems to keep my blood sugar stable all day, I don't get "hangry", and I feel great. Thanks Kooshi! This week I am finishing up a 10 week meal plan. I've used Kooshi Gourmet now for over 6 months and I stand by my previous post. I've never tired of the meal variety, the quality, and the service. The meals have been delivered without a hitch despite rain, wind storms, and fires. They are always fresh, beautifully put together, and exactly the right amount of food. Each meal has the perfect combination of nutrients. Getting a daily delivery allows for fresh, crispy salads and newly squeezed delicious juices, something most other meal plans cannot provide with once or twice weekly deliveries. I've tried the Kooshi Paleo plan for about 5 weeks intermittently and the quality of food got worse and worse and extremely repetitive. Nobody wants to have mediocre sliced chicken and sliced "gray" turkey in the same day or ever. The customer service was not great. A delivery was stolen from my porch (I had requested a more secure spot) when I called the company Ramsey seemed annoyed with my call and didn't offer to replace the meal or offer me a discount code for a future purchase. $30 bucks gone. I had such an unpleasant experience with Kooshi that I dreaded writing this review for a long time. My partner and I tried the 40-day program with Kooshi, which cost us about $4700 in total. For such a steep amount, we thought we were going to get a variety of quality, great tasting chef-cooked food. What we actually got: - Chopped chicken salad almost every day. When I pointed this out to their customer coordinator Amanda, she told me to remove chicken from my profile. I can't imagine this is the only way they'd offer variety to their customers. - Stale salmon that gave my partner food poisoning. When we complained, Amanda simply offered to remove salmon from our profile and did not offer any other form of remedy or compensation. - Occasional missing meals in the cooler bag. Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND. Their customer service is curt and the value you get for paying a premium is laughable. 2 stars because I feel bad giving anyone 1 star during a pandemic. There are so many other options for meal delivery companies in LA that offer better quality, value and variety. read more

We are both doing the keto plans, and I am non-dairy, and we've been so happy with the exciting meals we get each day. I love being on the kooshi meal delivery plan. The food is always delicious and has such a great variety so I never get bored. I never have an issue with delivery. Great customer service and I lose bloat immediately after 3 to 5 days of being exclusively on Kooshi. the juices and the snacks are so worth it. I really wanted to try kooshi, but ultimately their costumer service is what threw me off. I called in the first day and spoke with somebody by the name of Ramsey who seemed completely uninterested in a new customer and quickly brushed me off by and having me go to the website, which I did, but I called back because I was having some glitches signing up online and he asked that I call back the following day at noon and he would help me. I called the next day at noon, and this time he seemed more interested because I guess he already knew that I was attempting to sign up, however once we reach the payment portion of it I asked him to tell me the total, the day prior he had said that it would be $845 for 20 days with the first time customer discount and the 20 day package discount, and when I asked him to tell me the final price again as he was rushing for my credit card information, the total was close to 1200 , very different than the price he gave the day before, when I asked him why he quoted me 845 he couldn't recall apologized and said it was a mistake. This all sounded very fishy to me. I'd stay clear of this company, with so many other choices available. I did a one-week trial with Kooshi. The food was varied, fresh, great tasting and catered to almost all my nutritional constraints -- so in that respect it was perfect! I required my diet to be Paleo, but also needed to exclude Red Meat and Pork. They managed to do this, which many other food delivery companies do not accommodate. They delivery daily, which is another plus -- other companies deliver twice per week. The daily deliveries ensure freshness of food and I appreciate that they come out all the way to Westlake Village, every single day. They are also mindful of not being wasteful (with cardboard boxes, like Sakara for example). They deliver in a Thermal Food bag, which is far more environmentally conscious and I appreciate that. My issues with them -- which also happened to be the deciding factors for me not returning, were: 1. The inability to create an account that I can view, monitor and control. There is no login, not account visible to me. With all the other services I've tried: Sakara, Zen, Methodology etc. I've always been able to look at my account and see what I've ordered in the past, the meals that I've eaten/consumed, so I can annotate what my favourite dishes are, see how much I have spent, know what to expect next and so on. It really annoys me that I cannot do this with Kooshi. 2. I really don't like that they refuse (because they say my meals are decided upon last minute) to give me Daily or Weekly Menus. It is important for me to know what I will be receiving or eating that week. I don't like being surprised daily, as that presumes an issue; sometimes I can't eat what they provide: Like Poke/Raw Fish because I am pregnant, or Stuffed Poblano peppers because it is too spicy. I would also like to know what the ingredients are being used. In other services you can see what you'll be receiving and all the ingredients that will be used. That is a very important factor for me! If those two things: Meal Plans/Ingredients and Account Features on their website were fixed, I would without a doubt go back for more! read more

The meals are very different each time, with plenty of unusual, vitamin packed ingredients, and the sauces and dressings are excellent. Their elixirs are also quite stunning! The portions are beyond satisfying, and as a Frenchy with quite a refined palate, I can tell you that this food is exquisite and never gets boring!
