Luckily, while out in LA in close proximity to Chinatown, the husband was reminded of Little Jewel. There was no question where we were headed next. We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in and handed some menus. We were told to take our time, which was needed since everything sounded so good and the husband kept changing his mind on what to order. We finally settled on the Spicy Creole Jambalaya, Craw Mac Deluxe and The Crabster. It all came out hot, fresh and so satisfyingly delicious! The spice level was perfect. Portions were generous. We had initially planned on having beignets but did not have any more room -- even the dessert pocket was full! The atmosphere is very relaxed. They have several tables in the main dining area and the bar section. Orders are placed and picked up at the front counter. Everyone is super friendly. Parking can get a tricky in Chinatown. There are several flat rate lots if you're planning on spending some time. Metered parking is best for short term visits if you can find it -- we paid $4.30 for an hour.

There is a small seating area, and the seats weren't particularly comfortable, but the space seems intended more for a quick stop rather than a long sit-down meal. I ordered the beignet, breakfast po'boy sandwich, and chicken and waffles. - The beignet tasted good, but the portion was quite small. - The egg in the breakfast po'boy was burnt, which affected the overall flavor. - The chicken and waffles tasted like frozen food that had been reheated rather than freshly made. On the positive side, the service was very kind and friendly. However, overall the food was disappointing.

I loved how they give you an option to upgrade for peeled shrimps. I did this but sadly they don't give you the receipt back so wouldn't know how much more. ( you have to ask for it for them to give it to you) Service: The service was good although I didn't like that after 11pm it's ONLY CARDS. No CASH I ordered around 11:20pm and the girl allowed me to pay cash although she had already cashed out the registers. Although I did have to speak up for myself which I don't like because I know others would've left it like that. I called 15 mins before going to the restaurant to make sure they did accept cash and who ever picked up said YES. BUT then when I got there she said she couldn't accept my cash. I told her what happened about my call and the drive I did so she helped me out and accepted the cash. This is why I'm leaving it as a 4 star review. I didn't like that the person who picked up the phone call lied but the girl who helped me out with my order was kind turned it around. Ambience : The restaurant is small inside around 2 tables I believe but you can always take food to go and it's clean inside. But I can't say much about it because I did take it to go.

Kickin combo #2 with medium kickin sauce (1.5 pounds snow crab legs, clams, headless shrimp, mussels, sausage, corn, potatoes) with a side of Cajun fries... perfection! Was enough food for 3 people and leftovers. Bursting with flavor I swear. The shrimp and sausage might have been the standouts for me because I prefer king crab over snow. But altogether outstanding. Also I really enjoyed the r&b music they were playing. You can tell this place gets busy. Another plus is they have a plaza parking lot right in the middle of sunset which is rare.

She is so sweet, friendly, and attentive, which really makes the experience even better. The music is fun, the vibes are lively, and they have multiple TVs playing all the games, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. Reliable food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. First off, the all you can eat is a set basket of food, meaning you get mussels, shrimp, clams, crawfish, potatoes, garlic noodles, corn and their daily basket. You cannot pick you are forced to get all these items. Whatever, not that big of a deal but really not great. The price is 38.99 a person, okay got it. It takes them so long...so long!! Just for us to order, a bit disappointed honestly. The food arrives decently fast. I dig in, Mama B is hungry y'all! The shrimp is cheap, okay. Small, fishy, rubbery Walmart type of shrimps. The corn plasticy, cheap and just disgusting. The potatoes, poorly cooked and under seasoned. The clams... no notes. Now at this point Mama B is scared y'all...I wasn't trying to get food poisoning. I'm disappointed, honestly the most flavourless seafood boil I have ever had the displeasure of eating. What's horrifying is the bill was $91...$91!!!! I feel like this math is just not mathing. I believe the tax is ridiculously high and possible charged for water cups? I really truly could've made a mean Walmart seafood boil for a cheaper price, that'd actually be seasoned... Not Mama B approved, go elsewhere.
