We used Taylor Made for my sister's Bridal shower this past weekend, and I am so happy and pleased that we did! I'd recommend them highly :) I filled out the inquiry form on the website and got a response back the same day with menus and pricing to review. The following day Carol reached out to me to help plan a proposal based on menu items I was interested in, what my budget was, theme ideas etc - she was always super quick to respond and one day when she was out of office another team member jumped in and responded promptly for her. They helped me fiddle with the numbers and menu items so I could have what I wanted within my budget which was great! The day of the shower, Matheus came and set everything up for us (he arrived 1.5 hours ahead of time and everything was done in time). It was such a beautiful display - everything was really neat and all the stands they used were really cute! They even brought umbrellas to shade the food, fans, and a table runner to fit the theme we had. I had a guest who had brought some pastries and Matheus had an extra food stand to display them on as well! Afterwards everything was taken down quickly and all they packaged extra food in containers, and gave us extra containers in case any guests wanted to take some as well. We went with the BBQ chicken sliders, the chicken satay skewers, the salmon canapé, the charcuterie, hummus, TMC arugula salad, TMC flatbread, chocolate dipped strawberries, churro cheesecake cups, and chocolate mini cupcakes. Honestly everything was delicious but crowd pleasers were definitely the chicken skewers, salmon canapé, and cheesecake cups in terms of taste; the charcuterie was a show stopper in terms of presentation. So so glad we used Taylor Made for our event!! Next time we cater something it will definitely be with them! read more

Okay tasting but extremely overpriced. I can't emphasize overpriced enough. I paid $600 (that's WITH a coupon of 10% off) for a little less than a week's worth of food (no breakfast). Portions on certain items were small. Staff is friendly, but pricing needs to be more competitive to stay in business. Breaks down to $100/day for meals ($50 lunch, $50 dinner). You can go to nice restaurants and get take out for that price point, plus have leftovers. Baffled how this place is in business given the rates. I enjoy spending money, but this is a bit ridiculous. I did choose to set it up myself because I felt like the extra price for them to set up was too high, they also charge a admin fee which wasn't explained until I noticed and asked about it. I recently used Taylor Made Cuisine services for an office brunch and was so impressed with my experience from start to finish. Their team is both kind and responsive and they were very happy to accommodate my requests when I wanted to make a change to my order. In fact, they could have tried to upsell me on extras and adding more food, but they were so honest and kind and assured me what I had ordered was enough to serve a group my size. Their pastries/baked goods "sniff in" at 3.75 stars... They catered an event at our office building and a very professional effort was observed from the treats to the workers and the on-site manager. Bear in mind that the items served had a Halloween theme so a lot of care was put into the creative design and visual aesthetics of the treats. As a seasoned amateur baker of over 20 years it has been my experience that very rarely do the theme creative baked goods taste "next level" as well as looking stunning visually. It just does not work out that way very often where you get the best of both worlds. That being said some baked goods were better than others. NOTE: their savory items on their Yelp page look really excellent and I cannot speak to those since none were served at this event. CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CUP w/gummy worm: -- airy and nice light whipped texture -- not too sweet -- Oreo cookie crumble a nice touch to add some differing texture with foamy creamy and crumble crunch RATING = A- BLOOD ORANGE TART: -- nice flavor -- pie crust pretty solid -- not too tart nor too sweet -- I prefer orange to lemon so this was better than the lemon one for my palate -- whipped topping was tainted with a clear SLIGHT off-putting odor which some said sniffed like a wet dish rag and others said sniffed like wet dog...which led to my scraping it off the top NOTE: IMHO it was more of a wet dog smell. Do I think someone's dog was near these? NO, of course not. All goods were stored in containers on wheels that were sealed. My suspicion is that they were stored in either plastic or metal containers that absorbed some smells or the catering truck was cold and damp given the weather and some sniff from inside the truck penetrated the containers and because the whip was already on top of the pre-made pastries it was vulnerable to absorbing this smell. It's why even at home you cover open containers with foil to keep odors from your fridge from tainting the aroma of your foods. Either way I hope they figure out the culprit. It was on both the lemon tarts and the blood orange tarts. RATING = B+ LEMON TART: -- not as good as blood orange tart but similar style -- same wet dog SLIGHT sniff coming from on top -- not sour not too sweet RATING = B- VANILLA CAKE BAR: -- dense concentrated moist cake -- light golden yellow color -- medium towards high sweet not my fave -- vanilla needs a bit more punch RATING = B- CHOCOLATE BROWNIE: -- not dark chocolate style which I prefer -- not dry, not moist, but more of a blend of both textures -- not dense enough -- candy corn on top a nice touch -- not too sweet, about right -- texture needs work as this is comparable to a box mix made at home...not noteworthy and surely not memorable RATING = C- read more
