I had previously gotten a recommendation from the pediatric dentist group in town for a dentist with a new office. She did every test under the sun on me, including CTs, etc. She spent my entire Mayo budget in the first visit and recommended thousands of dollars of work in addition. She saw several cavities that needed repair. I was very suspicious and a friend recommended Dr. Price and Stone Barn. Dr. Price did a thorough exam and said the "cavities" were likely inclusion cysts that could be watched. I didn't need any additional work and we've been watching those cysts for almost 10 years now. He's old school, is quick to refer when it's not his specialty (more advanced work, orthodontics, ect) and is always nice and fair. Since it seems dentists in town like to quickly deplete any accounts as fast as possible, Dr. Price and Stone Barn are a wonderful exception to that. He has done my children for 10 years as well and is a great peds dentist too (and didn't rack up the bill like the peds group did). HIGHLY recommended.

Three years later now it chipped again in the same spot, this time leaving a huge gap and sensitivity so I called Stone Barn Dentistry to have them look at it and fix their mistake. The same dentist looked at it and said it wasn't the same tooth as before that chipped twice, this was a different one that was filled somewhere else many years before and he wouldn't cover it. I knew right then he was lying to me because I had never had another cavity before and I knew exactly which tooth had chipped in my mouth twice previously. He said he would fix it for a good deal but i didn't trust him so needless to say I took my business elsewhere. Somewhere where I trust the dentist and where they do quality work.

COST was a little over $6400.00 dollars. She then brought over Danielle, (tech there) and showed me her Veneers and they were very nice. Dr. Calcagno put on the Veneers and they looked good at first. After a while one of the Veneers began to fail and turned dark. People commented on this, family and a few friends. I went back and she assured me she guaranteed her work. She agreed one of the Veneers turned dark and said it was the way the light was hitting it. She began to grind away at it and then polished it. Looked the same to me but she said it would be fine. I left. Time passed and it was worse. Went back, she agreed it was darker but did nothing to resolve the issue. I would ask but I felt she was arrogant and condescending. She did nothing to fix the problem. I kept coming back and asking her to please fix it as it looks funny having all white teeth and a DARK FRONT TOOTH. I went back again on September 18, 2020 and had my teeth cleaned and wanted to talk to her again about this faulty Veneer but she began yelling at her staff and ignoring me. She spent about 4 minutes with me then left the room. I left, upset and felt like she took $6400.00 dollars from me with no regard for my concerns. I made another appointment with Calcagno Dentistry on March 18th 2021. Went in and she had finally agreed to fix the DARK VEENEER. I went to the front desk and they said they were going to CHARGE me more MONEY to repair it. I about fell over. I said no this is her responsibility not mine. Then she refuses to talk to me and sends out Stefanie, (office mgr.) to handle it. Stefanie explained they can not mach them anymore and they would need to be redone. I said fine have her redo them. NO CHANCE! Basically told me TOO BAD now leave. I left quite upset. On April 7th, 2021 I received an email from Gregory Griffiths, her Attorney. He explained that she will no longer see me but will settle with me. Here is the EMAIL: Mr. Klatt, I represent Calcagno Cosmetic and Family Dentistry. Please see the attached letter from Dr. Calcagno. I am aware that in the past you expressed concern regarding the color of one of your veneers. Although Dr. Calcagno will no longer be providing services to you, she will agree to reimburse you $650, the cost of the original veneer. If you are interested in this please notify me and I will arrange for payment. Please direct any future communications to my attention. Thank you, Greg. Gregory J. Griffiths Attorney at Law Dr. Calcagno knows she is and was wrong and should have fixed it immediately when I first asked. It would have been a simple fix and cheap for her to do. But she REFUSED to REPAIR IT even though she told me she guaranteed her work! Now she is trying to offer me $650 dollars out of $6400.00 to try and feel good about screwing me. I think she doesn't care because she sold the practice and is going to let the new Dentist worry about it. Dr. Calcagno will let her deal with this. I will be posting this and pictures on social media, Google, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, My Space...Etc...TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE. After his surgery the oral surgeon told him to come back to the dentist to have it adjusted because it wasn't fitting right. They said it's too late to make him a new one that will fit correctly & even if they could he'd have to pay $3,000!! Are you kidding me?! This is unacceptable! They made a mold of his teeth before he had surgery telling him they would make a flipper that would fit & he could use for eating, now he can only wear them when he goes to work. That means no eating out; he can't eat regular food for 4-6 months?! Unacceptable!! They need to make this right! But they won't! Do not go to this dental office! Unfortunately, I had to get cavities addressed (I haven't had a cavity for more than 10 years), but with my care in her hands, Dr. Oestriech made the process much more bearable, and she let me look at pictures she took of my teeth before and after the procedure. She also went through what to expect in the coming days post-procedure, and was very careful to shave the fillings so that they were comfortable and did not awkwardly impact my bite. One thing I love about getting my care with Dr. Oestriech is that she remembers what's important to me- a stainless smile. I walked around for months with a stain that would not leave. Dr. Oestriech cleaned it off beautifully and ever since, has made a point to follow up with it, making one my top priorities, her priority. All around, my experience with the staff here has been great. They are all very attentive and dedicated to providing top notch care and making you feel welcome. The billing experience was also extremely transparent with the staff providing an estimate of the procedure up front from insurance before your appointment, and a delineation of all the tasks and services that are being billed. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I certainly appreciated the level of empathy that she had. I previously had my son scheduled at Apollo Dental. It was so awful of an experience that we did not even make it to the appointment. Based on the way that I was treated rudely I cancelled the appointment and called Rochester Pediatric. My son is 2 and I was allowed to go back with him. (This was his first visit.) He sat in my lap and then he laid his back in the dental hygienist's lap. Dr. Jones also did this. Their facility is brand new, my son was very interested in all of the toys that they had. I'm hoping that with time my son won't be upset with appointments. Dr. Jones was also able to give me tips for brushing his teeth. I also appreciated that the calendars weren't out four or five months out.
