It wasn't the best ramen ever but a bit of a higher end than the tourist ramen joints in Lisbon, visited by many locals yet some tourists. Tables turn pretty quickly later so we got a two top pretty fast without a reservation. We started Baos (yes chinese dish....) and they were pretty good. She ordered the miso ramen and liked it. I ordered the pork belly ramen that I enjoyed. They don't have Togarashi pepper but if you ask and show them a pic of it they bring you little cup of it though a variety without sesame seeds. Pretty good choice at a little higher price point. I've had better but would maybe go back. Was walking around Lisbon at night and noticed this Japanese ramen place. We've had enough Portuguese and European food and thought it would be interesting to try their ramen here in Lisbon. Ambiance- good crowd at 9 pm. Place esthetically appealing. 5 stars Service - staff was polite and friendly and efficient. 5 stars. Edamame- small portion. Good taste. Satisfying. 4 stars We both got the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen. Broth was average. Didn't strike me as that flavorful and for me, I probably would have had to add some chili oil to give it a kick. The ajimago egg was cooler in temp to the broth but was nice with soft yolk. The noodles likely were not made there but sufficient. Overall- 4 stars Dessert- wife got the green tea ice cream that was on a bed of on oat and cookie crumble. Wife enjoyed it. 5 stars I got the Dango Matarashi with red bean. It's basically a rice ball, put some red bean paste and strawberry slices on top. Definitely a similar taste to Chinese rice balls to taste. Seemed very small portion and not that impressed but was presented nicely. 3 stars Overall, ramen can't compete to other places I've tried in my life but it was good enough for us. We were excited to grab some ramen while in Lisboa, and after seeing all the high reviews, what a disappointment. We put our names down and waited about 35min to be seated. The staff was pleasant throughout our meal. FYI water is preset - you pay for it regardless if you want it. We ordered a couple of starters - shiitake mushrooms were good but salty. The seaweed salad is drenched in sugar and vinegar. Tasted like sweet and sour candy - it was gross. We asked for our ramen noodles to be more firm - they still delivered soggy. And texture tasted like noodles out of an instant noodle bag. Not to mention, there were numerous clumps of noodles in our bowls. Whoever is cooking the noodles needs to stir or something. If you're normally a big ramen fan, skip this place. Would not recommend to anyone who really knows and enjoys ramen, especially at the price. read more

We enjoyed our ramen experience at Koppu Ramen. It was near our hotel and after a chilly day we figured it would be nice to eat something to warm us up. We were able to get a table without a reservation even though the place was packed. Wasn't the best ramen I've ever had but hit the spot. Ramen is my comfort food, and one of my favorite things to do is explore every new ramen spot within driving distance. It really bothers me when so-called "ramen restaurants" mess up my beloved dish, and unfortunately, this was one of those places. During a trip to southern Europe, I started craving ramen. I should've let it go, but instead, I insisted and dragged my family to this spot I found on Yelp. Bad idea. We ordered tonkotsu and shoyu ramen, but honestly, I couldn't tell you what we actually ate because it was nothing like the ramen I've known and loved for decades. It didn't even come close to the quality I'm used to in West LA. First off, the iPad menu listed a ton of ingredients for each ramen, but instead of being helpful, it just made everything more confusing. As for their "shoyu" ramen, what even was that? The broth wasn't clear at all. It was thick and cloudy, almost like miso or tonkotsu had been mixed in, and there was no trace of soy sauce flavor. It didn't taste right, and to make things worse, there were these chunks of unidentifiable meaty objects floating in it. Not fish cake, not anything we could recognize, and definitely not what was pictured on the menu. It was the strangest shoyu ramen I've ever had, and even considering regional variations in ramen, it made me question if this place was actually owned by Japanese people. The final straw was the bill. They had the nerve to include a "Did you like the service?" section with suggested tip amounts of 10% or 20%. It made me laugh. I wish these folks could see how hard servers work in the States to earn a 20% tip. read more

Fantastic dinning experience made even better by our server Paul. Paul took his time to explain to us all the Ramen options since it was our first experience trying it. Like all meals in Portugal, very inexpensive compared to price back in the US. The place has a small outdoor dinning area which was perfect. A good sign of how good the food is at this restaurant was proven by the dozen Uber eats and Bolt deliver drivers that came to pick up orders. If the locals like it then it's good. read more

Duck tataki was crispy on the outside with delicious sauce. Chicken tan tan was rich and creamy with a very slight kick. Gin and tonics were on point. Got there late without reservation so got sat after a long wait and missed the tonkotsu. Lessons for next time. read more

I love ramen... I really do! And KOPPU is known to be the place in Lisbon where you'll find Ramen heaven. However, my experience was not a dream. Probably it was my choice of Ramen, all the other ramens where quite good, but for me it's not a place to remember or to return. read more

Came here with high expectations because I'd heard that this is the best ramen place in Lisbon. Ordered the shoyu ramen and while I thought it was good, it definitely wasn't the best ramen I've had. The broth was tangy and the noodles were well crafted but it needed that special kick - that special element that would bring this ramen from four stars to five stars. Next time I would recommend getting the special, albeit slightly more expensive, ramen here. The special broth that is brewed for 14 hours looked tasty. read more
