Pepperoni pizza

In the heart of Old Town, this restaurant is sort of a country chic comfy sort of place. The decor is warm and inviting. Great menu selection, with an English version. I had the salami pizza for dinner and it was great, just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The next morning we came back and had some eggs fried in bacon grease. The eggs came with sitting atop bacon bits and with a lovely bread basket.

First I must say, the service in Poland is not good at all. Although there is amazing food. This restaurant had everything on the menu. Big portions, sheap and quite a good feeling to it. I was there with my mom and we bouth were very satisfied with our dinner and evening.

My glass of wine. They could afford to pour a bit more into them, I think.

Nice location and nice interior. The personnel is a bit slow and i had to go and get them after fifteen minutes of waiting for ordering (after they initially handled me the menu). And it was not at all busy at the time (14h in afternoon). I ordered a bagel and a glass of white wine. The bagel was great and delicious, but the glass of wine is the emptiest glass I have ever seen served. I complained about it, but denied the glass was more empty than normal and refused to pour more into it. Otherwise I am happy with the place. Nice ambience and a good place to have a rest.

Bruschetta is not good. They heat the bread with the tomatoes on it.

I've heard about Polish milk bars from our tour of communism. I had an idea that they are similar…read moreto Filipino turo-turo (point-point) where you can tell the person behind the counter what you would like. There are usually several options and the meals are generally inexpensive. As it has been chilly, I've been craving soup. The lady taking the order thankfully speaks English so I didn't have to embarrass myself with my limited Polish knowledge, phew! She told me what she had for soup and I selected beef stroganoff. She asked if I wanted bread with it which I declined. I wanted to try their pork cutlet which I obliged to have with mashed potatoes. The soup, the pork dish and water amounted to less than $15 which is certainly less expensive than most cities in the US. The soup and dish were both delicious. Just couldn't give them 5 stars as I felt the pork would have been much better if it was hot and crunchy(it was just warm). The soup could have also been hotter. I think they don't wipe the tables as often as they should either. This milk bar is nicely decorated though. Considering it is very close to the city center, it is undoubtedly great value for money. Oh, btw, they have an English menu but I didn't see it until before I left

Had to toss in a couple of the cheese blintzes because why not! Great place to come if you don't want the cookie cutter hotel breakfast.
