Terrible company. Lived there for 7+ years only to be nickel and dimed upon leaving. After my security deposit was returned I received an additional illegal charge for carpet repair caused by poor construction of a door continually rubbing on the carpet. They claimed my cats caused the damage when it was very obviously directly in the doorway and was because the door was rubbing on the floor. I'm sure they didn't repair the door so it will just happen again. Not to mention the carpet was over 10 years old. In sorting this out KOS went radio silent for 4 months only to reach out again to try to get the money out of me. After refusing to pay because it should have fallen under normal wear and tear and the carpet was over 10 years old and therefore fully depreciated, they threatened to send it to collections. Like the others, I would give this rental company ZERO stars if I could! They took more from my security deposit than all other apartments I rented in the last 10 plus years COMBINED. They made things up to take more from it. The staff is incredibly rude. They send out nasty mass text messages constantly, complaining about everything. Carpet in the unit I moved into was disgusting and I guarantee they did the crappiest job of cleaning and it stuffed another tenant in. They only care about profit, not people. I've rented from KOS now for about 5 years and lived in two different apartments of theirs. I'm very happy with the management company. They have my loyalty 100%. Any time I've had an issue or concern (because realistically there are issues everywhere) they've addressed it immediately and professionally and followed up to make sure they did what they could so it wouldn't happen again. They're supportive of veterans (I'm one myself) and, in my experience, their staff has been kind and usually communicates quite well. I've even been lucky enough to have really great neighbors other than just one. The one I was really uncomfortable with, KOS went out of their way to make sure I was safe. I'm grateful to them and would recommend KOS in a heartbeat. read more

If I could give zero stars I also would. The absolute RUDEST excuse for "people" I've ever had to interact with. ALL they care about is their money and that is IT. They are the absolute LEAST considerate, & human-decency having corporation I've ever come across. The entire staff is rude, if you have any questions of concerns you are treated like absolutely nothing but an annoyance and a burden. On top of them having the worst customer service I've ever witnessed, the rent is completely over priced for what you get, they have installed the cheapest applications possible. The stove doesn't even heat a pan evenly at all. & also, Maxine, who answers the phone a lot is probably one of the rudest of all. I moved into an apartment here 3/8/19, my roommate who signed the lease with me abandoned me & I came home from work one day to pretty much all of my apartment gone. I freaked out and called them asking if I could do a 90-day transfer to a one-bedroom because rent was due soon and I couldn't afford the two bedroom by myself, they pretty much told me that if I can't figure out how to have $810 in 6 days then I would be evicted. There was absolutely NO working with me to try to help me in this situation! They didn't even both to go after my roommate who left for the money, nope just tried to drain me dry. & then here we are a year later, they sent me 200$ of my security deposit back but the check bounced because it had my name and my old roommates name on it so I've been dealing with the anything-but-lovely Maxine at the front desk for the last week about that, & she seems to just keep getting even more rude by the day! Basically, my old roommate is ignoring me, I have no contact with him, I tried to get him to reach out to KOS & he said he would and he lied & did not, & they will not even let me get MY half of my security deposit without HIS written permission, not to mention we're in a pandemic and I don't have groceries in my house and don't get paid for another week. She told me I'd have to get ahold of him myself & that I can't get my half until he does. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. WORST EXCUSE FOR HUMANS IVE EVER MET. read more

if i could give 0 stars, i would. any time i called the office the staff was rude, acted like it was inconvenient that i was calling, and not helpful whatsoever. on top of that, i was told via letter (no phone call explaining why) that i was not allowed to renew my lease after my first years lease. so i reached out to ask why, & the lady on the phone explained to me how "they don't have to give me a reason". i wouldn't have renewed my lease with them either way, but i still would've liked to have known why. VERY unprofessional management staff. not to mention how over priced these apartments are! they were built with the cheapest quality materials they could've possibly found. only thing i will miss about these apartments is maintenance man mike. he is AWESOME & deserves to work for a better company. read more
