If you happen to have any issues applying a discount code while making a reservation online (ie: Good Sam, etc.) don't hesitate to make a phone call to the campground and one of the managers will make the refund for you. Explained that the water to the bathhouses wasn't working but we could choose our space. He drove us over to show us the spaces, said they are in the middle of some big improvements, including putting in a pond. He gave my husband a couple of their logo shirts and hats and then he didn't even charge us for our space. Just after we parked, the owner called and said that he did have an open cabin and that we could use the shower in it if we would like to. He drove back over and gave us the key for the night. Amazing service!! Good people looking to make good improvements! Very quiet park.

On the plus side, the lady who checked us in was very nice in person as well as on the phone. There isa WII FI hot spot but no internet access. We used thehot spots on our phones which was a little sketchy as Verizon was 4g 1-3 bars depending on where you were standing. Satellite should be okay as there are very few trees. Mostly long term renters but most wereneat with a couple of odd exceptions.. All gravel roads and sites although they could use more. Spacing was ok with some grass in between sites. It could be messy if it has rained. We could not use the sewer as we couldn't reach it even with two hoses. And we had to use all 25 feet of the electric cord. Not sure about other sites. There is some noise from interstate off in the distance. Quite a few early risers for work but not that intrusive. Very reasonably priced.

She made sure we received the mail we needed during out stay, and gave us some really great safety instructions when some severe weather was coming through. Grenada to the north has some great hiking trails. Jackson about an hour south was great to visit. Greenwood a half hour to the west was a pleasant surprise and French Camp to the east is supposed to be a cute little town. The location of this campground had way more to offer than expected. Also be sure to check out Whitney's boutique to get a fresh look for the ladies in your life. Krispy Crunch across the street made for a good snack and the sunset from the sites is delightful.
