This is a pretty large playground, and a playground that's a little different from traditional playgrounds. There's a structure for small children, and play areas for older and older children. There are spaces made to blend in to the natural area. It's also designed to be a park for children of all abilities, sensory and physical, and is meant to allow children of different abilities to play together. It was followed by a marvelous chamber music concert featuring a collection mostly contemporary works influenced by a connection with nature. Grace Farms' mission is to support nature, arts, justice, community and faith. It's a much-appreciated place to refocus and refuel in these difficult times.

It wasn't super busy when I went, but would suggest getting a free ticket online in advance just in case.

Though you need resident parking during swim season, it's a great winter escape for all between Labor Day and Memorial Day. People decorate memorial benches for the winter holidays, and jingle bell horse rides go on during the December holiday season. It's a park near and dear. At some point we'll make it to the museum, but the historic interpretative signs helped us make do. Kids can sled the hills by the entrance, and everyone can find beach glass along the cove itself. So, this is a park/beach which is within bicycling range of where we live in Stamford. During the…read morenice months (May through October) it is for residents only ($70 parking fee) but it is free to cyclists at any time of the day, which is very nice, as it makes a place we can bicycle to during the weekends. It's a very pretty, well-maintained park. There's a number of tennis courts as well as platform tennis, which is a flavor of tennis I hadn't heard of until moving to this area. There's also a nice beach, with a pretty view of the sound. It's a nice place to walk and enjoy the nice weather. If you live in the area, or are able to access by bicycle, it's definitely worth visiting. Pack a picnic in your bike bag and enjoy the view!
