This is a must-do! I traveled from the city for a sunset paddleboard excursion led by JM and it was one of the most enjoyable evenings I have had this summer. Kostal Paddle is awesome and a great activity for those young and old! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the sound off Manorhaven beach is really pretty and quiet. The worst customer service. When you call the phone number it goes to message stating to email them. When you email them they give vague and ambiguous statements. When you purchase the Groupon no where does it state weekdays only. Kostal paddle claims to be sold out for all of August weekends. I requested August 26 and August 27 or August 20 which are weekend And this was in the end of July. I bought this for my cousin birthday gift. Now I am embarrassed in front cousin of since establishment won't give a appointment to kayak. I emailed several times asking anytime is fine early morning like 7 am but on a weekend. Now the kostal paddle is ignoring my emails. Treating Groupon customers as second grade. I would never give my money to Kostal paddle with Groupon or without. read more

I came here with a groupon and 5 other guests. Safety - they provided clear instructions on what you should and shouldn't do. Equipment - the life vest and kayak was clean and in great shape. Kayak was sturdy and did not feel we were going to tip over. Customer Service - attentive, friendly, and patient. Overall we had an excellent time. Awesome spot to paddle out of. I've done both kayaking and paddle boarding with Kostal. Their island park spot is cool too. Staff is super friendly and helpful even if you don't want a lesson they'll answer and questions you have if it's your first time. What a great find in my own town. My grandson has shown an interest in kayaking and paddle boarding. Kostal paddle had all the supplies we needed, the equipment was in great shape. The vests were washed after each use. You felt very comfortable using their equipment. We have gone twice now. JM instructed him in how to use the equipment, he was very patient! He took him all over the bay. We can't wait to go back again. It's great for kids and adults, a family activity. I believe they will be there till the end of September. read more

A friend of mine has been talking about Kostal paddle and how great it is, so I finally attended their Wednesday night social paddle with her and experienced first hand just how great they are! The owner JM is passionate about SUP which makes your SUP experience more enjoyable and puts you at ease. I went yesterday with my family paddleboarding with Kostal Paddle at the North Shore location in Manorhaven Beach Park. We had a great experience with John-Michael, the owner, and will definitely be returning customers. Being first-time paddleboarders, John-Michael gave a quick lesson before sending us off. The area is filled with beautiful boats, and both calm and challenging areas to paddle. After noticing my father fall in a few times, John-Michael responded quickly providing some helpful tips. Soon enough the entire family was up and paddling! Without even asking, John-Michael emailed us a few pictures he took of us paddleboarding.
