Omigosh, this place is just...perfect. *Really* friendly people, helpful, and the boats were in excellent shape. We rented a double-kayak for us and our dog (first time out on the water--yes, we had her in a snug life jacket we brought along). I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get out of the city for a day and paddle around. If you're feeling extremely ambitious, I suppose you could head over to CT, but we were happy just tooling around the cove. read more

Michelle was super helpful and accommodating and prices are very reasonable at $25 the first hour for a single kayak and $10 extra for each additional hour. Have been to shore things twice now and can't wait to go back. I try to get on the water every year for a birthday activity. The woman in the shop is lovely as is her dog. Pricing is cheap and owner is not strict on timing of the rental allowing you to really enjoy your time without rushing back to return. Would recommend this spot :) read more

Some one took me to this place for a first date to go paddle boarding (awesome idea) Owner was extremely friendly, told us step by step how to get on it, use it, paddle out, etc. THEN, I took some one ELSE here for a date. The second time was harder because there was a strong current in the water. We couldn't get out far because the second we stopped paddling the water took us back to square 1. The second time I went, I paid because I was the one taking the person there....Kind of expensive? I don't know why I expected it to be cheaper. I have nothing else to compare it to though, other then renting out jet ski's in the Caribbean. I would recommend you come here. If you are a beginner I would just ask & check to see how strong the winds/current is, because the first time I did it was great and the second time I could barely get up on the board. My friends and I came here today for the first time. We called ahead to clarify some information, such as reservations and pricing, and Michelle was beyond accommodating. She reserved our kayaks for us, and when we arrived we were greeted by a whole family of friendly people who were so down to earth and cool! We got 2 double kayaks and 1 single. The single kayak is $20 per person an hour and the double is $35 per hour, split amongst two people if that's how you'd be dividing it up. I've never really kayaked before...but luckily my kayak partner was somewhat familiar with how to rotate and steer the kayaks. And if you have not a clue how to do it, they will instruct you on how to before you go out in the water. Anyhow, parking is widely available, and they provide you with a life vest and a waterproof Baggie thing (don't know how else to explain it) to put phones, etc. in so our belongings didn't get wet. I would highly recommend this place to those who enjoy a bit of exercising, enjoy the beautiful bay and enjoy nice business owners! Lastly---when you go out into the water out of the canal area, they have not only moving boats and jet skis, but they have stationed boats that are just anchored down in the water for scenery purposes! Excellent time today and fun to go with a group of friends or even with just one other person! read more

Everything was great. The service was nice. They were helpful and informative. It was our first time, for my two friends and I. We did canoeing and it was awesome. The water was a little deep as we got further down and I got seasick. But it was cause so many other boats were around us causing turbulence in the water. It was fun though and worth it for $30 for one hour, and not overpriced. read more

This place is the sweetest little shop to rent out kayaks, double kayaks, small boats, bikes...etc!
