This is a great find for Clearlake. Reliable, prompt service had us back on the lake the same day we took our jet ski in after sinking it. Sarah who did the scheduling was terrific as well. I took my bike in to get serviced. I was pretty excited because they did a really good job of my wife's bike. Almost 4 weeks later I got my bike back and there was a dent that wasn't there before. And of course, when I had reported it to the owner, they lashed out and obscenities and were not very kind. But as we pulled up to get my bike, I noticed that there was an employee sitting on my bike as if he owned it and then I was told that they all have Harleys at that place, and they would never ever ruin a Harley or ever scratch anybody's Harley. But I found it very interesting as I pulled up to see employee sitting on my bike as if it was break time. So $1300 later I have a scratch over where my gas cap is and that's what I paid for. So the moral of the story here is it would've been nice if the owner would've said you know what bring the bike back. Let me look at it. I'm really sorry that happened you know let me give you some money off whatever the case maybe just whether it was whoever's fault. It's just about good customer service and making the customer happy. But that didn't happen. read more

They worked on my pontoon boat 3 times and it left me stranded every time. Rethink having them work on your boat.

I have a 1990 nitro with a 115 pro series on the back. Had it worked on at mcatee Marine in Lakeport 3 years ago and it hadn't run right since $1,300 gone. Then I find kounty boats and bikes! I needed a carb specialist and I found one, complete service, got all my dash gauges working, my spot lock needed help etc.. just under $700 I'm more than happy. I had my boat serviced there a couple years ago, felt over charged after doing an oil change and getting talked into replacing my navigation lights (rarely ever go out at night, but he said the lights were 50$ so why not I thought) not realizing they'd charge almost 500$ for that and the oil change, but it is what it is small town business has gotta eat. I never put the boat in the water and it sat until this week. Fast forward to today, I decide to have my friend change the impeller and oil just because it sat 2 years, and when he did it was almost out of oil and dirty, so I was charged 500$ for an oil filter and simple navigation lights on a pontoon boat. One thing to be over charged, but to not do the work paid is completely different. read more

I dropped off my jetski in early June. My jetski ran perfect. Started every time. Just under full throttle would die. They told me it's a carb issue. Bring it in. Same day fix. Will be fast. After three weeks of phone tag they tell me there is a spark issue. I say how it's starts right up and isles and cruises fine. She said yeah that's normal. You're just not getting spark when full throttle. So they said they will continue to work on it. After they had it for 5 weeks. Hardly ever returned any of my calls. I just tell them I want to pick it up. When I pick it up. My trailer clip is missing and now the jet ski won't even start. It just turns over and over and doesn't start. They didn't charge me anything. But they also made things worse. Now my jetski doesn't even run and they are saying it was like that when I dropped it off. Terrible experience. Wasted my summer and my time. The voicemail on the contact line is full and they hardly ever reply or answer. Don't waste your time like I did read more

I've had several good experiences worth writing about with Kyle and Kountry...In trying to revive a vintage motorcycle, I stopped in a couple times with questions and was quickly helped in a friendly and professional manner. It was clear they had my best interests in mind rather than trying to get as much money out of me as most local shops do. When I finally got my bike back together, they were very quick and efficient and reasonable about getting it running and over the hump. Really greatful for the respectful, friendly and fair treatment. It's no fun getting stuck in a small town where it's easy to be taken advantage of. Kyle and Sara went over and beyond to help get my sons boat trailer fixed while He was doing a Fly Fishing clinic on the Lake. Being from out of town they hooked him up for a tow to their shop and then get the trailer repaired that day. So professional and caring, they saved the day.. would recommend 100%. As I was delivering my boat for its pre-summer maintenance service to kountry boats and bikes,my truck started running rough. I asked Kyle, who in town can look at my truck? Kyle says "we can." He gave my truck a tuneup and did my brakes. So I lucked out. I found a trust worthy mechanic that actually does what he says he will do. On time, right on estimate and all around good guy to do business with. The only bummer is I predict this shop will be so busy, I will need to make a appointment way in advance. Clearlake really needed a quality boat repair shop, and now we have one. read more

i just want to say great job kyle at kountry boats in clearlake this man took care of my boat after another shop in lake port didn't do there job and made me feel very ripped off by them and unsafe after they missed a major leak that would have sunk my boat after 1500.00 in work and kyle never talked ill of them at all. very professional of him anyways kyle and his technician answered all my questioned they even went out of there way to make me feel good about my boat and concerns he let me know he was busy so he fit me in and let me know it may take awhile. So he was upfront i respect that and when he forgot something small he admitted it and took care of it and owned up to it. Another respect point he also only charged 4.5 hours to pull my motor set my idle and removed and put back together what the other shop charged 8 plus hours for. Kyle is very honest and very busy reminds me of me in the auto repair trade, he treats customers with respect and talks to you like a real person . so be patient because i can see why this man is busy make sure you schedule in advance because this man is busy becouse of these admirable traits, thanks again kyle and tech sorry forgot youre name and thank you for letting me know about my receiver hitch that was bad you saved my boat and probably someone's life by going the extra mile. read more
