We've…read moreheard that Clear Lake was ranked the #1 or #2 bass fishing lake in the world and wanted to give it a try. Initially I was going to rent a boat to go out on the lake to fish with my son but was blown away how much a boat rental was.. $350 for 3 hours so I decided to see how much a fishing guide would be. After going through google and talking to about 10 guides which most weren't available because they were booked already we settled on Adam. The initial conversation with Adam was great as he's extremely friendly and helpful. We settled to meet at the Lucerne Boat Launch at 6:30AM the next day. After a little delay on my part we got on our way by 7AM. The 1st spot we went to we immediately caught a few fish within MINUTES! For the next 6 hours we caught over 25 fish between me and my son... some as large as 4lbs...we had a BLAST! Not only did Adam take us to places where there were fish... he taught us how to be better fisherman. I've been with several fishing guides before and I can tell you Adam "HANDS DOWN" is the best I've ever had. He's extremely friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and is MORE than willing to share his information with you. Costs was EXTREMELY fair at $55 at hour as I would have paid more to rent the boat for less hours AND I am 100% sure I wouldn't have caught as much fish. Once on the water, Mark was there to give guidance and support. I also appreciated his patience and willingness to just go with the flow. None of us were preparing for competitive racing with SUPs, rather, we just wanted to get out on the water on a warm day and get the experience to see if it's something we want to pursue. If we're around Clear Lake again, Mendo-Lake SUP will be our first call for paddleboard rentals.

We got our boat a day early n I called to see if we could come a day early and was told in a very rude manner "No we are busy, I said we had no where to put the boat and was told I don't care I said No , come Tuesday as we said. We found a place to leave the boat over night and we brought it Tuesday at 330 making sure the women was home from a doctor appointment and when I got there I called their number as I stood outside their door listening to them talking and they wouldn't answer the phone so I called up hello we're here with the boat and Paul Redding came out with Glory yelling behind him to get out and get out now , I said we had an appointment for the boat slip and I had their money and contract and they both were yelling at me to leave , they said I will not tell them what to do and they were not ready for us to come so get out and take your boat somewhere else ? So their we stood with a boat and no where to put it because these very unprofessional rude people who told me to come after 230 on Tuesday and they had many empty boat slips and we were there to rent for the entire year with cash , I don't suggest anyone use this business , the caretakers appeared to be very unstable

When we picked up the boat we were charged $600.00 to clean up a dead animal that got into the boat while at Bayshore Marine Service. I do not recommend their service, not even to check the oil. Freaking Jackass! Our family is vary large and has been in Lake County sense the late 1800's and involved in County Politics . She named several alternate businesses that may be able to do the service sooner. She then took quite some time exploring the possible causes of the problem...and found it. A torn bellows on the lower unit. Melony was friendly and helpful and spent time on my problem even though I was going to have to uses a different company. Bayshore Marine will get my business in the future.
