I love rainbow shops for their cheap stuff and fun accessories and gadgets…read more The issue here was the check out. It took forever. Staff is not very motivated. But found some cool stuff here as always. The quality is low but I have found tons of deals at this chain store!

Rainbow is what I would call the "teen version" of the now defunct Dots stores here in South…read moreFlorida. Whereas Dots carried clothing that teens and women in their 20s, 30s and 40s could wear, Rainbow seems to appeal to the younger crowd mostly. As an example, you will notice that a lot of their clothing consists of crop tops...not exactly something I'd want to wear at my age, and with my body type, lest I be confused with a hooker. There are also lots of printed tees with marijuana leaf graphics, or some clever, trendy saying. Not exactly work-friendly, as you can tell. The prices and quality are pretty much on par with the Dots type of clothing, and it's probably no coincidence that Rainbow even ends up in the leasing space formerly reserved for Dots. Rainbow's sizing is also difficult to follow and again, I can only assume it's because the store is meant to cater to the younger crowds. Their Large is more like a Small because it is very narrow, and although they have Plus sizes, which tend to be very long and baggy for a petite gal like me, it seems those of us who are in the middle (not a size 0-6 on top, but not a 12-24 either) are left without many options. A fellow shopper and I commiserated for a while that our bust made it so difficult to shop for clothes, but luckily, after much searching and trying on of clothes, both of us were able to find something that fit. She purchased a loose-fitting tank top, and I ended up buying a peasant blouse (which thanks to its baggy style, has plenty of material to give up top), and a cotton lycra top, which again, thanks to the lycra, is able to stretch while still showing off my figure. The best thing is each top was $5.00! Talk about a smart purchase. If you're looking for cheap buys, I suggest checking their clearance rack before you check the rest of the store, which is what I did. They have lots of tank tops, for example, in every color, some with a built-in shelf bra, and others without. Some had a lace trim on the chest and strap area, and others did not. I still checked the rest of the store after checking the clearance rack, but prices were significantly higher, and nothing really caught my eye. As was the case with Dots, the accessories here are very cute and affordable. You can find an entire necklace and earring set for under $10. There are belts, sunglasses, headbands, purses, even lip gloss. The shoe selection was not impressive, but I could say the same for Dots, most of the time as well.

I join the other 1-star reviews. This place has a real tough crew working here. I actually left…read morehere in a bad mood from one of their poor attitudes!! I donate at about two times a month to VVA. They pick up household goods, clothes, shoes, sports equipment, books, etc. They have a truck that rolls up to my house and I put my donations in a bag and leave it on the patio. It is a beautiful process. But I had some clothes that I "outgrew" and they were all nicer, name brand items. I was going to Miramar anyway so I figured I might be able to pick up a few bucks off my nice, clean and name brand items. I walked in and she had an attitude, but ok. She explained the process. All items must be clean, in good condition and within the past two years. Well, my clothes and Uggs were clean and in good condition. Most of the items were in the two year scope but two probably were not. I had eight items in total. I walked around browsing and saw a pair of white jeans with a stain on them, ready to be sold. Nothing here for me, so I went to Publix a few doors down. She calls me and says my items are ready to be picked up. She put my Uggs in the bag with the clothes. I brought them in separate bags and don't put used shoes in the same bag as clothes! Anyway, she said my items were either not clean or over two years old. Actually, one dress is dirty now, because she put the Uggs on them!! I do not recommended this place at all. You would probably be better off selling your clothes online or donating to a worthwhile charity. I have never seen someone who seems to hate their job as much as this female.
