Koziar's Christmas Village landed on one of those "highly recommended holiday adventures" lists, and since it's only about one hour from home, we added it to the 2025 must-see lineup. December got packed packed, so we didn't make it out until the last Sunday after Christmas -- which honestly turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I can't even imagine how absolutely packed Koziar's must be in the days leading up to Christmas, and while there's plenty of room to spread out, massive crowds just aren't our thing. Visiting after the holiday rush made the experience much more relaxed and enjoyable. Even though it was post-Christmas, it was somehow still considered a prime night, so admission was $18 per adult. Not ideal, but also not outrageous compared to other big-name light displays. Parking, however, was free, plentiful, and close to the entrance, which immediately earned major bonus points because so many places charge extra just to park half a mile away. Pulling up the drive is where Koziar's really makes its first impression. You come over a dark country road hill and suddenly -- BAM -- Christmas lights everywhere. They shimmer across the lake and light up the entire valley in a way that genuinely stops you in your tracks. This is one of those moments that's better experienced than explained. Once through the gate, you're welcomed with a miniature diorama and a warm holiday greeting from the Koziar family themselves. The walk-through path is simple and clearly marked -- just follow the arrows painted on the pavement. It's fully paved, well-lit, and stroller/wheelchair friendly, which makes this a great option for families. If you're a small child, this place is probably pure magic. Older kids might be a little less impressed, but as an adult, the nostalgia factor here hits hard. The wooden characters -- hand-painted and intricately lit with antique-style Christmas lights -- immediately transported me back to childhood visits to my grandparents' house. There's something very old-school, very comforting, and very heartfelt about the displays. It's not flashy or tech-heavy; it's warm, charming, and intentionally vintage. There are plenty of indoor buildings along the route, which offer a chance to warm up, grab a snack, and contemplate evacuating your wallet. We kept it simple with a churro, a chocolate chip cookie, and a hot cocoa for about $6 total. The snacks were clearly mass-produced and not gourmet by any stretch, but they were hot, fast, and fairly priced -- exactly what you want while wandering through the cold surrounded by lights. The music playing throughout the village was a surprisingly nice mix: classical Christmas carols, country holiday tunes, and classic cartoon favorites. It added to the experience without being overwhelming. The dioramas scattered throughout ranged from intricate and whimsical to slightly unusual -- some made us smile, some made us tilt our heads -- but there was always something to look at. At no point did the experience feel dull or empty. Koziar's Christmas Village may not become an annual must-do for us, but it's absolutely worth experiencing at least once. If you're looking for an affordable, walkable, nostalgic holiday experience that warms your heart and reminds you what Christmas used to feel like, this is definitely a place to put on your list. If it was more aptly called "Koziar's Christmas Lot," I don't think anyone would go but it would be more appropriate. After planning to go for years, we went tonight (two days after Christmas, a Friday). We got there right at 6 pm. Some signs said they open at 5pm and other signs said they open at 6 pm. Teenagers were competently directing people where to park. That part was easy and orderly, and parking was free. We got in one of the three disorganized lines, one for cash only, one for cash AND credit card, and one for credit card only. I don't know why they needed to make it complicated. It wasn't intuitive, people were confused, and gaps in the line fences allowed others to cut in, bisect the existing lines, and create their own branches of the lines. The cash line didn't move very fast. Why not do online ticketing through Eventbrite---you KNOW they make a lot of money and much smaller family businesses do it so why can't they----have a QR for entry, and zip people in. $18 for one adult during peak days. No receipt, no stamp for reentry. Pets aren't allowed, which was made clear upfront (online) and posted on-site. The attractions are mostly Christmas and so much of it is the same stuff from 20 to 30 years ago, creepy doll decorations with lights to make it Christmasy, and then they have random things like Betty Boop, dinosaurs, and stuff that's not iconic Christmas. The walking pathway is such that you can't really go back to see anything or do a second lap. It's meant for a one-way walk through and a quick boot out you go. Lots of lights were out, one huge gingerbread inflatable was completely flat, and a bunch of lights on their main "Kozier's Christmas Village" were out---at least fix that! The hot cocoa was good, and it wasn't Swiss Miss thankfully. It's a small 10 oz cup and $3 each. The chocolate chip cookie was very very good, buttery, soft, gooey, hot, and freshly made for $1.50 each. Go once, don't recommend it to others, and go home. If you need to drive 2-3 hours for it, skip it and find a more local attraction. read more

There are a lot of mixed reviews. I agree this place seems a little outdated, but for someone who loves Christmas I could definitely enjoy the whimsical atmosphere. A mission prices can be up to $18 depending on what day you visit but I still think it has that magical Christmas touch that some places are missing! You can tell that this place was built with a love and passion for sharing joy from Santa in the jungle to underwater themes to look at there's so much to explore. We walked the loop three times and still noticed new things we didn't notice before. If you're looking for a photo opportunity, this place has some intros invite your photographer to tagalong with you and take family photos for Christmas cards !!! There's photo opportunities everywhere you look! I enjoyed this over going to some place full of vendors selling Christmas craft and other consumer items don't get me wrong. They still have a gift shop food and drinks you can buy, but it's a lot more focused on just going around and looking and enjoying yourself. 3.5 for me. A gigantic display of everything Christmas you can imagine on a small plot of someone's massive larger farm land. We came here the week after opening weekend and the lines to get into the parking lot as well as getting into the village was nuts. But according to the locals this was nothing because at the height of the season, people can wait up to 1-2 hours just to get into the parking area. And people do it too! We showed up 30 minutes before they opened and already there were a ridiculous line of people waiting to get in. Thankfully the line did move at a good pace. Tickets to get in are very reasonably priced and I love that they also don't seem to price gouge you for the Christmas tchotckes you can buy in droves either. They do sell burger/hotdogs and such. But their hot chocolate is the real star! Sadly don't bother with their chocolate chip cookies, they were not great despite all of the signs saying they were baked on premise... Which I'm sure they are but the dough tasted very commercially produced. Arrive at least an hour or two if you plan to get here after Thanksgiving! read more

If you have children or grandchildren then I highly recommend you visit this Farm, turned Christmas attraction. Be prepared to wait. We arrived early and paid in cash, which was the fastest line. First of- get here EARLY. They open at 5pm but you're probably better off getting here by 4-4:30pm the latest because you'll definitely be stuck in traffic for HOURS...and with young kids who are inpatient like my 4 year old- good luck. We stayed at an Airbnb that was only 15 mins away from Koziar's and thought "this is perfect we're right there!", uhm so wrong. We left at 4:50pm and got stuck in traffic until almost 6:30pm before finally parking and walking another 10 mins to the entrance. It was about 14 degrees out so definitely dress super warm. Once we got to the entrance we waited probably another 20-25 minutes before we paid to get in cuz they don't do pre-sale tickets. As soon as you get jn, it's crowded AF. The lights are great, but having waited 2 hours just to get into the parking lot, hungry people/kids, cold ass weather, and lines that take long, you're pretty much done by the time you actually get to see the village. Be prepared to walk a lot, freeze your ass off, and wait in long lines to go into any kinda shop they have. The lights and village itself was really cute, but when you're following behind tons of people and trying to dodge people who've stopped to take pictures, it's really not that great. This was a once a done for me, IMO. I wouldn't come back here to do this and definitely wouldn't put my kid (or myself) through the freezing weather to watch a lit up village. I probably enjoyed this more watching someone record their experience on Instagram than experiencing it in person. read more

This Christmas Display is like no other and truly gets you in the Christmas/Festive Mood. Only complaint is their hours are limited and given volume of people it is hard to get into parking lot and walking areas at times got very congested. This is a walking light display with millions of lights. It was so pretty... with christmas music piped in. Prices are reasonable and well worth the wait to get in. Nice touch were Hot chocolate and warm cookies available for purchase. Looking forward to making this an annual tradition. read more

I heard heard about this place for years and was very excited to go. We were smart enough to get there at arrival to beet traffic. We stood in a massive blob of people waiting for the gate to open. There was no direction to where any of the lines actually were. It was just a blob. Getting tickets on sight is the only option . They were fairly quick at taking your Mine - considering the mass chaos outside of the door. Once inside - there were wall to wall people. You had to fight through crowds to get a look at anything. With the exception of a few pieces here and there - everything was old and worn. They have multiple little buildings you can look into the windows of - IF - you fight through people and wait in long lines. The things in the windows are dusty - sun faded - and worn. The other decorating were all painted plywood characters and stories. The artwork was not good. The lights along the bath were the old large Christmas bulbs. They were extremely hot to the the touch. The obvious choice would be not to touch them, but there were so many people that you often were pushed into them. The "gift shop" smelled of mold. There had clearly been leaks. It triggered an allergic reaction and asthma. I suffered the two hour ride home. The people who are giving this high ratings clearly if not had a lot of other experiences. I am a huge Christmas enthusiast and love everything Christmas! Tacky Christmas holds a dear place in my heart. I live handmade stuff and roadside attractions. The was the first experience I have not liked. Soooo disappointed! When we left - there were still massive amounts of people and the road from the highway was a stand still line of cars. read more

I write this review with great sadness. I have been visiting Christmas Village since I was a baby. I am now 40 years old. For the first time in my life, visiting this place was such a disappointment. It had always felt like a magical, nostalgic place even up until a few years ago. Social media comes out and BAM 1,000s upon 1,000s of people. It's no longer a sacred place. The lights have changed from glowing warm colors to horrid blue LEDs. There was always this feeling of amazement as you crest the dark hill in the countryside to a farm of beautiful glowing red and yellow lights. This year, the hue is blue LEDs and even that hillside crest wasn't remotely touching how it used to feel even up until a few years ago. They've expanded the parking lot to enormous proportions, well beyond what I've ever seen. The walk into the park itself was 5 minutes because the parking lot expands so far back now. The one good thing is the walk through itself hasn't changed one bit since I was a kid. Which I would be happy about because it feels awesome to see the things I remember as a kid. But if you're going to invite the entire country to this place, at least expand the park a bit to accommodate the droves and droves of people. We waited to get there until 8pm (they closed at 9pm) on a non-peak night, hoping to beat the crowds. Wrong. It was wall to wall people, strollers, wagons, crying children, and people EVERYWHERE you turned taking pictures. No one just enjoying the place. It was so difficult to look into the windows to see the displays because it was nothing but wall to wall people. I have never once in my life wanted to leave so badly but this last visit will sadly be my last. I wish I could leave my last memory of this place as the magical, nostalgic memories of my childhood and my children's childhood but it's been ruined by capitalistic greed. In the Christmas spirit, my family and I planned a trip here to see Xmas lights. We arrived on Saturday 12.9.23 at 4pm, which is perfecting timing because cars were coming in and lining up for parking. The place isn't opened until 4:30 but the lot is packed with cars. Then, there is a line for purchasing tickets. The ticket line may seem long but if moves fairly decent and soon we were inside and taking selfies. I'm happy to see they have several restrooms here and not the porta potty. The lights and window displays are very nice. Definitely, take your time to read the comics along the way. There gifts shops and snacks. It's a decent place to take your family at least once. We left around 6pm and the place was mad. Cars were lining up for miles trying to get into the lot and all we wanted to do is leave. There were no one directly traffic either. Not sure if we'd come back since we don't live near but I would recommend everyone to at least give it a try if you're in the area. read more

We saw an advertisement on social media about Koziar's Christmas Village in Bernsville, PA. Decided to take the 2 hour one way drive from my house to check this place out. While approaching the parking lot for the Christmas Village we were greeted by workers directing people where to park. We see there were buses parked in the lot as well so I guess there are companies that buses people to this location. The parking lot had some paved roads along with gravel and dirt roads well. It depends where you park so expect you might go through some of these terrains along the way. Once you park you will see the admissions gate and you have to decide to get into one of the three lines Cash, Cash/Credit card, and Credit card only. You pay at the gate as there is no online advance tickets. We paid $13 plus $4 extra charge for prime nights so cost $17 per adult at the time of this review. We got there at 4pm on a Saturday and on their website Saturdays tend to be their busiest day so come early which we did. We had no trouble getting in at that time. However, be warned if you come between 5pm-7pm expect to wait in a very very long line to get into the parking lot. The village looked very nice with all the lights especially when it gets darker. There were lots of Christmas displays which really get you in the mood for the holiday season. Many places there had opportunities for photos and there is a picture with Santa but that was long wait so we decided to skip. They had some indoor displays throughout the park. There is some gift shops where you can purchase Christmas ornaments and decorations. There is also a snack bar that you can purchase drinks and snacks but nothing major. Overall, its a nice to visit once and that's it. I wouldn't come back unless I am a grandfather to take my grand kids or something. When leaving the place we see a whole row of cars waiting to get in and lasted a mile or two. This place gets really crowded during these time. I feel bad for people who just lives around here trying to get home. My suggestion to this location is to get in tune with technology and help the visitors and company navigate this madness of visitors. They need to setup online ticketing system where people book the time they will arrive at the park. This way it can limit people just coming all at once and waiting in line to get in. The roads leading to the village is only lane so traffic is backed up for miles. By having set times for admission it can reduce the traffic in the area. That's my thoughts on my experience coming here. So if you come late just expect to wait a while. read more

We went with our friends on a Tuesday night. There was no long car-queue to get into the place and it was not overly crowded at all (much less crowded than in the past from what I remember). There are definitely some new displays outside from what I remember (there are now some realistic looking animal statues in addition to all the wooden boards/cutouts) and the place still has that old-time Christmas charm to it. We spent about 90 minutes strolling through there and had a good time and some laughs. For $13 bucks per adult, it's a great value and more interesting than the $54 for Hershey Sweet Lights. We brought our daughter age 6 along with her friends who range in ages from 5 to 7. They have a lot of energy so it wasn't a great experience for them. Also, Koziar was very crowded! If you have high energy kids, I would not recommend it. However, if you like taking pictures with your family then it is good. Country Creek in Chambersburg was a better experience to be honest! They had awesome Christmas lights and also bounce houses and trampolines for the kids. read more

OK for kids under 5 but that's about it. I certainly appreciate the history, work and nostalgia but it's a one trip and done type of place. A hodge podge of disconnected themes throughout the entire property with long-outdated displays. By the time you reach the halfway point, most young kids are already disinterested, if not confused by the complete randomness of the place. Food is cheap but don't expect anything above 'out of a box' pizza and pretzels. Gifts, souvenirs and nick nacks are all cheap and overpriced. But hold on, $12 above and beyond your admission price for your kids to have their picture taken with Santa. Just about any other Christmas lights destination is better than this place. read more

I was kind of underwhelmed....don't get me wrong, the lights were cool to look at and the old vintage displays were interesting -- the 50+ age group would definitely find things to reminisce about! I believe my daughter liked it very much. She had a great time there. She's only 3 years old so this is all new too her and thats to our wonderful world of technology, she will always remember things like this through the many photos I took and the videos I took of her and I. Lots of lights and all kinds of different themed scenery which was pretty cool and plenty of spots to take photos. The only thing I didn't like about this place was there wasn't much of a variety of food and the gift shops seemed kinda boring. A brief update for these Covidious times that we live in based on our visit this past Sunday night. For this year they have trimmed their hours back a bit to opening at 6pm versus 5:30pm and if you go on Saturdays or Sundays after Thanksgiving you're getting racked up with an extra $5 surcharge that I assume is partially/mostly going to the 3rd party website that they now use to presell tickets in advance. Note that as far as I know, if you show up on Saturdays or Sundays after Thanksgiving without one of these advanced purchased tickets I assume you're getting turned away. Now regardless of what people may think of the rules in place regarding masks and distancing they are indeed in place yet if you come here you will quickly find two things: 1. It's pretty much impossible to socially distance as way too many people are allowed in and because there are certain line choke points where people hang out/congregate/don't move which again makes any type of distancing impossible. If that bothers you, wait until the year 3000 when all of this blows over. 2. Plenty of people without masks or with them around their neck and no one on staff will say a word to them. I sort of get that as I work at a job where we're suppose to enforce mask rules but honestly it's not worth it as the ignorant a-holes who refuse are usually the ones who love to escalate things even if you mention it in the most polite/best way possible. If this bothers you wait until 3000 when all of this blows over. The lights overall are still very nice but if anything relating to Covid or social distancing bothers you then skip coming here as the format of the place along with their want/need to make all of their money in such a short space of time, supersede any idea that capacity will be controlled on nights when they don't have the pre-purchased ticket system in place. read more

Went tonight for the first time w my husband. The drive from Philly took about 1.5 hours. We got there at 4:15 which was fifteen mins before it opened. I HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS as the line for cars/entrance became insane as it passed 5:00. I would say this is worth the drive if you have kids. We got through the whole thing in 45 mins so it felt like we were forcing ourselves to stay longer/look around in shops to make the drive worth it. Definitely lots of cute picture spots if you get there before the crowd. -cheap food, however don't expect much it's just snacks and treats -NO ALCOHOL!!!! they do sell hot chocolate and hot apple cider so maybe bring something to spike it? -not super expensive $17 for adults on the weekend -the gift shops aren't anything special but they're worth the look in/chance to get out of the cold read more

Koziar's Christmas Village is kitschy, and we wouldn't miss a year of it. It's one of the highlights of our holiday season! Family-owned and operated, and a tradition since 1948. Approaching from route 78 (most common, hence very crowded), you drive up over a hill and suddenly--aahhhhh--the valley below is awash with the glow of what looks like millions of colored Christmas lights. It is even more magical as you are walking through these gazillion lights. The Village is, basically, an outdoor walking path through wooden cutouts bedecked with Christmas lights. (Better than being stuck in a car with rambunctious kids!) Yes, some of the cutouts are outdated, but who really cares? It's about the magic of Christmas and the dazzling light displays, not the quality of the artwork, that is the point. Cut-outs are grouped by theme (think patriotism, Sesame Street, etc.) There are several buildings and a pond also decorated. You travel along at your own pace. While you can get through pretty quickly (there's no limit as to how many times you can walk through), it's more enjoyable to go at a leisurely pace, looking closely at each display, because there are so many things to see! Along the way are refreshment stands, hot chocolate, gift shops, and lots of photo opps. At the end, is a barn where you can meet Santa and get your picture taken, and a large gift shop with a train display and hundreds of ornaments and decorations. (You could start at the end first, if you want to void the crowds.) While this nostalgic, old fashioned light display lacks the glitz and glam of some newer holiday displays, it also lacks the big price tag. Admission is as low as $13 for adults, $11 for kids. Under 3, free. Compare that to the corporate blockbuster light displays and Koziar's is an absolute bargain--and more charming, quaint and fun for the parents and kids. read more

I went there as a teenager, took my husband when we were dating 50 years ago, our children when they were little & now our grandchildren each family as they have been born! things have changed & some remain the same but one thing we all have enjoyed the memories the family has provided our family! the view from the hill and from inside. We now live close by and even though the traffic on the road is horrific for us at Xmas to get back to our home we don't care because we know the families are stopping on the hill to enjoy that breathtaking view before going down for fun! it's so nice that something remains the same! read more

Beautiful place. The staff at the hotel told us to arrive around 730. It takes approximately 1.5hrs to complete and closed at 10pm. This was great advice b/c I read reviews of everyone complaining of sitting in traffic for hours or standing in long lines. We rode right in and parked with maybe a five minute delay. We stood in line for maybe 10-15 minutes. So it was easy to gain admission. We went on December 21 so it was very busy but also really cold. We were freezing and i had on two sweaters, a heavy jacket, gloves, a hat and scarf,AAAQNBtfgh and my coat had a hood. The wind off the little pond was brutal. My hands were ice blocks . I would not recommend for little kids or babies which we saw plenty of, when it is this cold. We should have gone in November b/c we wanted to see more but the cold kept us moving at a brisk pace. We could have stayed there 3 hrs there was sooo much to see. Over all, it has clearly been a labor of love for this family for 75 years. it's beautiful with various Christmas and religious themes. My wife and I drove over 2 hours to visit this attraction. We were expecting quirky and cute, but got creepy and cringey. We were greeted at the entrance by 3 of the creepiest costumed characters we've ever seen. The decorations are very out dated and worn. The lighted pieces were fine, but the signs and painted displays look like they belong in a high school drama club production. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, laughing at every turn when something creepier and stranger would appear. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Just once. read more

3.5 stars. We came to visit the Friday before Christmas. We drove two hours to get there. It was pretty packed, but I figured Friday would be better than Saturday. It was my husband and I and our little baby. She enjoyed the lights from her stroller and we took good photos. There are many lights, many themes, and so much going on! However, it was one way in and one way out only, and we were walking with a big crowd. The experience would have been so much better if we came on a weekday. We ended with some hot chocolate and that did not disappoint in the cold weather! Would I be back? Perhaps if kids wanted to go and see something, but definitely on a weekday! I did not enjoy the crowds with no masks too much. If you live close by, less than an hour, then sure! It's nice to see all the lights. Owners could probably freshen up or update it a bit. read more

Been here 3x in the past. Made the trip out tonight with our toddler. Once we were 1.3 mile away the traffic started. After waiting for an hour and still having over a mile to go, we made the decision to just turn around and leave. Never had it been like this in the past. They should sell tickets in advance and stop sales at capacity. This is inconsiderate, especially for people visiting with young children. As we turned around the line of cars behind us was absolutely ridiculous. Definitely will be over a 2 hour wait for whoever decides to keep waiting. The place will close by the time these cars will get their turn in line. Can't imagine how crowded it must be inside too. As nice as the displays are from seeing them in the past, I do not think they are worth this madness. read more

Finally made the trip out here after wanting to go for years. My biggest tip is to get here a soon as it opens or even earlier. We meant to get here when it opens but instead got here about a half hour after. We didn't hit traffic, but once we were in I could see all the cars backed up leading into here and I was so glad we missed it. My next tip is to bring cash. Even though they take cards, the credit card was SO long. We thankfully had just enough cash and we're able to get in quickly with the cash line. My last tip is to try and go on a weekday if you can, we wanted to but ran out of days to go and ended up going on a Sunday night which was mobbed. Overall though, this is probably the best Christmas light set up I have been to. Great for kids and so many things to look at. Also, lots of the things to buy here. Lots of Christmas gift shops and concessions. Definitely worth the drive out here to look at lights. The price is pretty reasonable too depending on when you go. read more

We just left this disappointing experience. Leaving I tried to find a redeeming quality that would allow me to leave a better review - but I can not - esp not for $17 a person. I wish I had read the reviews prior to dragging my family through this. BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS!!!! Trust me on this - life is short - therefore do not waste your time...your Christmas Spirit may not be able to recover. Thankfully we did follow Waze and came in a different way than most - which was the only saving grace. If we had waited in the other line, parked and walked through that menagerie of outdated and quite frankly creepy Christmas crap - I would have demanded a refund. Nothing has been updated since maybe 1989 - the characters on display are random and poorly done. The food area served the worst pizza I have ever eaten - imagine lunch room pizza - but worse. The hot chocolate was decent and would perhaps allow me to rate this a 0.5/10. Meanwhile I would love to see the nightly profit they rake in - the owners should be embarrassed to call this a Winter Wonderland. 0/10 experience. read more

When looking online the website, it states you need to reserve time to help with crowds during covid. Fine. I make a reservation on the first available weekend. It states to arrive about 30 minutes before your reservation and start heading to the line 15 minutes before. We came from over 2 1/2 hours away, so we got there about a hour before. Started heading up to the line about 30 minutes before. When we get to the front, there are two lines for credit one line for cash. Everyone is keeping their distance in the lines. When we get to the window, the cashier didn't ask for my reservation. So it was super frustrating. He did however remind us to make sure we follow the white arrows on the ground. While now inside we see how crowded it was, but we wanted to give it a try. The building were run down and lights were definitely old. I can respect that it's been around for many years. I enjoyed how simple and clean the lights were placed . But it was all one note. No variety of types of lights and techniques. The cut outs that are placed throughout mainly were not even Christmas themed. Again, as an artist I appreciate the effort they were trying to accomplish. But the actual work was sloppy and some just so bad it was hard to even look at it. They had arrows on the ground to help one way traffic flow. This was help with social distancing. Everyone seems to be following it. But, there were parts of the walk through, if you followed it, it took you around sections and it never doubled back. So you were forced to skip parts, or not follow the arrows and walk into on coming crowds. There were a lot of buildings decorated as "store fronts" and themed. But the windows were not themed based on what the sign said, or they were and just poorly done. Example, the firehouse had a small fire truck and then it was filled with a bunch of other stuff that made no sense to the theme. The "post office" was just a window filled with a Santa, a Christmas tree and a punch of old Christmas cards. It seemed off theme and dirty. Extremely disappointing. So much opportunity. I understand this place being around for a long time and having vintage items. But based on their photos online, it looks like there was a mix of both. And there definitely was not. When you finish up as most places do, they have a gift shop. Completely packed with people! No social distancing at all. There were a good amount of guests not even wearing masks at all inside! I turned right around and left! As you can see it doesn't photo well. I have a iPhone pro max. Photos on this are amazing. But not with the lights unfortunately. Over all, not worth the drive. Even if I lived closer. Sorry. I enjoyed being out with my husband. Watching kids faces light up. But wouldn't recommend at all. read more

I came here in 2014 and needless to say, I don't know why this place hasn't been featured on The Great Christmas Light Fight, because if it were to be featured, it would definitely win the $50,000 and the trophy! Now, about the village, me being a massive train fan, I was very impressed with the trains. That's right, there are multiple displays in the village that incorporate trains, not just the model train layout in the refreshment barn/gift shop, and all of them incorporate fully functional model trains. The very last thing I saw in the village before I left was the model train layout in the refreshment barn/gift shop and much to my delight, the man running the gift shop was wearing an engineers costume with overalls and an engineers hat! That later became an inspiration for me because I myself now am an active model railroader, and when I show off my trains to the public, I wear an engineers costume with overalls and an engineers hat. And that's without mentioning that while you are in Berks County, you must ride the steam train at the Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad. #2102 re-entered service last year and she has been hauling excursions ever since then. And another thing. I am also a drug hater and I love the fact that Christmas Village has ZERO TOLERANCE for smoking and vaping in the village. read more

If you don't like vintage Christmas decorations, then this place is not for you. I'm glad I visited at least once. My 6 year old daughter loved it which made the 1.5 hour trip worth it. Pro tip, dress warm (it's all walking outside) and get here early. We arrived about 45 min before it opened and I am glad we did as we were able to park and be some of the first people to enter when it opened. I also think since we arrived early by the time we walked to where Santa was, there was a short line. After my daughter got her picture taken and we walked out, the line was at least 3 times as long as when we went in. There are multiple gift shops, although we luckily avoided all but one of them, the hat shop. The crowd of people was actually a good thing when it came to distracting my daughter so she didn't notice when we walked by a shop. I think it's worth it to at least go one time. It took us about 1-1 1/2 hours to walk through it. read more

Best $12 I've spent in a long time. Outdated? Think retro, vintage, whimsical instead. Not everything needs to be Disney-fied. Go in a weekday. I can't imagine the crowds and traffic on a weekend. We did the loop in 45 minutes because it was cold and windy. Could have definitely stayed longer. If you're staying overnight, Wyomissing is an easy 15 minutes away with plenty of accommodations and restaurants. Will go back again, earlier in the season when it's not as cold ! read more

Plenty of parking, it gets really busy so get there at a good time. It was fun and had a bunch of cool lights and stuff to look at. They have shops and food as well. It was $17 for adults which wasn't worth the price but it was still pretty cool read more

I would never recommend anybody to go to this place. Not only is it owner by horrible people during my very first visit I had my two year old and seven year old in the bathroom changing them and a grown man atleast in his 60s came walking in changing toilet paper completely unannounced. when I brought the picture to the owner at the window she told me I was over reacting even after being presented with the video of it. she then let another patron push me out of the way so he could pay and the told me if I wasn't happy to leave. We loved it, a great old time Christmas display set on a huge farm. Tons of hand painted story boards, little vignettes with classic toys and dolls to peek in, a few different train displays , the lights were mostly big c3s on welded frames. (If you only like the modern led compuerized light shows, don't go.) As for prices, you can t beat it in comparison. $10 to enter, snacks were super reasonable ($1-3 avg for pizza, popcorn, nuggets, burgers, hot chocolate, cotton candy) TIPS IF YOU GO:.. the big detractor was the traffic ... It is one farm road in that took over an hour to roll in to the parking lot. On Saturday it opened at 4:15. We were within 2 miles of it at 5 ish, got out of the car at 6:20. They were really organized and had plenty of parking. I would say, dont use the Porta potty outside the gate... There are two sets of clean modern bathrooms inside. If I were to go again, I would plan to be in the parking lot and picnic an hour before it opens. Also, don't rely on GPS directions to get in and out. Google has a glitch where it thought that an access road was a read turnpike entrance. Oops. read more

Nothing really fabulous here but it's something we wanted to check out. We actually went last year but I'm sure it hasn't changed much. Most of the displays are basically plywood cutouts with lights on them. There are a few more elaborate displays but I wasn't exactly impressed. The do have a ver nice train display inside the store which was the nicest part of the tour. Big crowds too which made it difficult to get through the grounds. read more

This is a really cute Christmas village in Pennsylvania. We were visiting family who recently moved to the area and was about a 30 minute drive. The moment you turn on the road though, you're sitting in traffic for a while. The road is about a mile long before you get to the parking lot and we were sitting there for at least 25 minutes. Parking is another beast in and of itself. They guide you into a row but then you're on your own trying to find where that open spot is. However, if you're lucky enough to take a bus tour their parking looks easier. They have port-o-potties outside but if you can wait, there's an actual bathroom inside and to the right. They offer plenty of photo opportunities with characters dressed up for the kids plus other great holiday things inside. I loved all the cut outs of different iconic characters. Personally, there is more to Christmas than Santa. They had a beautiful nativity scene and after all this is the season for Jesus. However, others are complaining about the Peanuts gang, or even the Flintstones, but walking through just brought me back to memories of my family that didn't even have anything to do with Christmas and honestly. That's the true spirit of Christmas. So hats off to you. It's definitely crowded so get there early. read more
