I originally stopped in because it was recommended by Pinwheel Records, and I'm really glad I did. The shop has an incredible selection and the staff was extremely knowledgeable. Drew especially was fantastic to talk with. I asked about local Chicago music and he immediately had great recommendations and insight into the scene. One of the coolest things about the shop is that 606 has its own label, and I was able to pick up a limited release of Balance: A Compilation Without Boundaries -- featuring artists with parallels to the city of Chicago, experimenting sonically & balanced with music.  You can tell this place genuinely cares about music discovery and supporting artists. Definitely worth a stop if you're digging around Chicago for records beyond the usual mainstream finds. I was traveling and like Pinwheel, 606 was also able to ship my purchases home for me. Shops like this proved to me the Chicago music scene is extremely vibrant!

The moment you walk in and see someone dressed head to toe in black, you might start having second thoughts about whether you belong there. I know I did. But the farther you walk in, the more you realize that feeling is intentional. This place isn't trying to be for everyone, and that's exactly what makes it work. The red lighting, the loud music, and the mix of sports, rock videos, and the people around you somehow create a vibe that's difficult to describe the first time you experience it. It's chaotic, but in a way that feels authentic rather than forced. Full disclosure, I've been here before with friends. We usually end up on the rooftop having wings and drinks. This time, though, I stopped in by myself because I wanted something quick and easy. The waitress was friendly, easygoing, and genuinely personable. She got my order exactly right, and I found myself watching the England FIFA match while a rock video played on one screen and a baseball game played on another. Nothing about this place feels average, and that's what makes it memorable. The wings came out piping hot, and the fries were cooked perfectly. They were exactly what I was hoping for. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five has more to do with my own hangups than anything the restaurant did. Reggies knows exactly what it wants to be, and it does that exceptionally well. If you're looking for a place with personality, good food, and an atmosphere that refuses to blend in, it's absolutely worth checking out.

This is a real club with mostly a standing-room only area, which sometimes turned into a mosh pit and stage diving area. Heck yeah! But also: Oh no, for an anxious parent of a young teen. Luckily, it was all good. The crowd at Reggies was stellar and everyone there was there for a good time. There is an upstairs area with a few tables that look out onto the stage. Then there's a big bench against the wall where you can sit and ponder why you brought your 15-year-old child to a venue where most people are drunk and/or flying high off the wacky tobaccy. Just kidding! I didn't regret my decision. Reggies is a cool place to experience some music. But just know that this place skews more toward young adults (21+), even for the all-ages shows. Reggies has a full menu of food available, which you can order from the bar. I was just in the mood for straight carbs and fat, so I ordered the tater tots as my dinner. You order the food at the bar, then wait like five or 10 minutes, then go and pick up your food at the bar. They'd prefer that you don't eat at the bar, though. You should take your food upstairs to one of the tables. They are very busy at the bar here, taking orders and dispensing drinks. What else should you know? Well, I believe that there's one restroom for both men and women. Reggies is also very strict about bringing in outside food and beverages, including water bottles. They also will not let you take alcoholic beverages outside, but you can go in and out as much as you want.

Jonas Wood is one of the greatest artist alive today and they've represented Jonas for years. Their gallery space is beautiful and everyone working here is super friendly and knowledgeable about the art. They also have a great selection of artist monographs. I wanted to personally thank Avery for helping me with getting a signed poster by Wood. I'm a huge fan of Wood's work and this really means a lot to me personally. If you're anywhere near Chicago, go see this gallery. They consistently have some of the best shows and they're great people.

We ventured to Bridgeport and we were lucky to find them open. I love finding stores like this because you have the opportunity to dig for the gems. The staff at Let's Boogie has been working dilligently to get the store more organized, and the items priced. There is stuff everywhere, from vintage vinyl, CD'S, tapes, DVDS and even VHS. They are still actively buying and getting new sealed albums also. I found a bunch of stuff I didn't know I was looking, and a few I left behind because I was over my budget. Prices are comparable to what you would find on Discogs but you may be able to work something out with the owner. Enjoy!! I know I did, and will definitely hit this spot again when I'm back in Chicago.

The owner Joe, really is a great guy which is why he is mentioned in every review. He's got a good little staff of employees who are always very helpful and kind. Need a movie recommendation? Give Joe several titles you've enjoyed in the past and he will come up with something you've never even heard of! You won't ever want (or need!) to use Redbox again after you see the selection this little shop has... There are several monthly plans you can subscribe to (we have 2 out at a time, about $25 per month). Only wanna rent family movies? There's a plan for you too, $4.99 per month. Oh and I mention the selection of video games? Yeah, it's extensive too! I hate to mention it, but I have to.... There's an epic xxx section complete with Girls Gone Wild and all the parodies. You're welcome. Pretty much every hit show that's ever been on television is there and when you rent a series, you get the whole series not just one or two discs at a time. Joe also takes requests and custom orders, so if you dont see something, ask! Don't feel like going out? Oh well they also deliver! (This is subject to availability of staff) You'll always be in the loop with the text alerts too. New releases and specials pretty frequently. Besides just being a huge label and an internal distribution center for smaller indie labels, Victory also prints merchandise for bands or anyone not part of the company. the prices are super cheap and fair and it's quick turnaround! Sometimes i had to go back the following day to get the full order or so as it was a missing an item or two but they are great about fixing the mistake / miscommunication. A+ for quality and service.

Very rarely do they not know what a song is and can always get a record as a distributor. They are limited by hours but well worth it. Located in a building that looks like a office building in a rom com, but they have inventory!! Just went there to get records for my next mix! My guy there pulled all the stuff I would need. While it was expensive it is worth to no pine over a record like it's Excalibur. Now it's part of my collection.
