I contacted Tim (the owener and trainer) several weeks before and he could not have been nicer. Since I was not familiar with the area he was kind of enough to give me directions to the box. At that time I had been going to Crossfit for several months near my home and was looking forward to going to another one, especially out of state to see how things work. The one day I came in, I worked out with another young lady. Unfortunately, I re-aggravated a back injury so I had to cut back my work out. Tim properly showed me how to do everything and continually pushed us during the WOD even though I was in pain. While the box is small, they have all the necessary equipment to run a great Crossfit. If I am ever in the area again, I'm coming back!

I was too busy throwing it away to take a picture if you wanted to check the serial number for ownership. If you are an adult who loves Frisbee golf come visit. The course is lovely. Cute bridge. There is a lot of water access and picnic areas. Trash receptacles conscientiously located. Nice sledding hill, weather permitting. This day was 5 stars but that needle sucked out my joy at having to explain why and how needles are dangerous to my kis upon leaving.

$5 parking (not a state park so passes do not apply)…read more Clean and clear water. You can enter from a latter off the dock, jumping from the rocks, or walking in on the few stretches of shore. Water shoes not a must but I wished I had brought mine. I suggest going early. This is a very popular swimming destination so if you want solitude in nature, this may not be the place for you. Dog friendly! No lifeguard on duty-- jump in at your own risk. I'd definitely go again if I was in the area but I wouldn't necessarily drive from the TC exclusively to swim here.

If you plan to cliff jump - please read!!! I have been to this park many times in my life, and jumped off the high cliff into the water at least half a dozen times. Last Memorial Day, I went with my friends to enjoy the park. I went to the highest cliff jumping spot and I jumped off into the water. I immediately knew something was wrong with my spine when I hit the water as I could barely breathe and my back exploded in pain. As the signs state at the park - you jump at your own risk. It was clear they do not have a protocol for when people get injuries. It took about 10 minutes to get a ranger to come over and help, who did end up calling an ambulance, but they did not offer anything else. They didn't clear the area, and people continued to climb up and jump around me. My friends had to kick me across the whole quarry to get to the shore to get to the ambulance. At the hospital they did an x-ray and a vertebrae in my spine had compressed due to the angle I hit the water and fractured. It was about a 5-month recovery with a back brace full time. If you go for the cliff jumping just be aware that there is a risk jumping into the water, and the risk gets greater the higher you go. All this to say - the park is beautiful and it is still a lovely spot for swimming and hiking. Just know the risks before you go cliff jumping into the water.

Class instructors are knowledgable, friendly, helpful and willing to go the distance. Dave is a very good instructor and provides excellent classroom and shooting training. The did have an issue on an extremely cold weekend and some pipe break issues on the range. They worked through the issues, kept customers and class participants updated as a priority. Excellent recovery and the class was unaffected their hard work. Great job!

The greens were in very good shape. I didn't care for the layout - there seemed to be a lot of short par fours and long par threes. The greens can be rolled up on but are very hard to read - challenging. The fairways during Fishing Opener were in rough shape - lots of bare spots. Hopefully they will grow in. The track is pretty tight with a lot of trees and the pin placements were tough for amateurs like us. Also - the carts lacked any technology like even a distance finder. This course is walkable - a little hilly but short walks between holes. This would be a nice course for kids and learners that aren't going to care about their score as much.
