Dial searching, out of my frustration w/the lack of a good radio morning show in a small Virginia…read moremarket, I found Kidd Kraddick. Initially I knew I was not the demo for their audience. Still, I occasionally tuned in - at that time Kellie Rasberry was out on extended maternity leave. Her daughter is now 7 & the great Dave Cradick aka Kidd Kraddick has sadly died. The last few years I've listened 5 days a week to the current lineup of Kellie, J-Si (Jose Chavez), Jenna Owens, the inimitable Big Al Mack & world's best board op Shanon Murphy. They have carried on since Kidd's been gone. AND they continue to do an entertaining show. Content is built around show biz news & family friendly phoners w/major stars. Lots of games for fans too. Their charity work with Kidd's Kids is exemplary. I am a former radio professional & entertainer. My radio listening started in the world's largest market, NYC. I know good radio. That's why I listen to Kidd Kraddick in the morning. They have a net presence at KiddNation.com & are syndicated in 70+ US markets. Broadcast in the New River Valley on J-104.5 FM Bluefield WV. I hear a computer system voice during the top 5 with Kelly Raspberry. J-si is a positive person as well. Nice to hear when one is trying to wake up in the morning during eating breakfast. 2. My question are these top 5 here says or does Kelly Raspberry knows 100% of these actors, musicians & others in the entertainment industry? 3. Southern Florida Hotels, is this another voice computer system or is this a recorded person announcer? 4. Part Time Justin: He is a positive DJ, which is great to hear especially during the morning when I am waking up still. 5. Text 0707 is mentioned for what? 6. I noticed the new singers name or band are not being mentioned, why? 7. Traffic announcer is brief. The female announcer is good though, even though she does not have a huge amount of minutes to tell the traffic. She is still articulate. 8. American Express commercial 9. Part Time Justin & J-si: talking about snacks from Kroger, whom has decreased their prices by 4%. 10. Talking about condiments life cycle is a great idea! 11. To Win, what? 14. Traffic announcer is whom? She is really good. It goes by so fast, its hard to follow what her first name and the sponsors as well. 15. I would think Kelly Raspberry listens to these. The music has changed big time. They have similar upbeats and rhythms as well, lyrics are different. One band, that comes to my mind is 'King & Country'. 27. Automation system mentions Podcasting. My suggestion is get a live person to discuss this instead an automation computer system. Plus, it will get others to earn money, especially the new generation whom will be graduating High School in May 2025.

It was refreshing to find a station that feels genuinely curated rather than run by some algorithm. An adult format that ranged from classics to newer tunes, which we enjoyed even if many of those new tunes were unfamiliar. For as long as we listened, no commercials and it was nice. And I see that they're "New, local and legendary music for North Texas. Commercial-free public radio." "I would Die 4 U" by Prince "Buddy Holly" by Weezer "Spooky" by Dusty Springfield "Constant Craving" by k.d. lang Fabulous tunes and if you're a grownup like me and you like good tunes, find them at 91.7. They have a whole local program that cranks out the jams. There's no real commercials on this station, just public service announcements, and underwriting announcements. The DJs are fun, and not some corporate dudes in a booth, or some AI generated voice that pipes in endless chatter. Instead, you can get a finger on the pulse of the live music scene around, and they focus on bands who are coming through and playing at venues you can visit around town. The music is much more than just some top 40 hits station, or some corporate run Belo or Clear Channel Communications stationit has the local heart and soul of the city of Dallas. If you don't like the music, give it an hour or two, and they'll have something else on later.

The Ranch. The sound of Texas!…read more This station plays both kinds of music, Country and Western! They play a lot of the Red Dirt and Texas music instead of that Nashville poppier kinds of "Country" music. This is a lot of Texas based musicians, so they have a lot of the shows that happen in and around the state that this station tracks. They sure do advertise a lot on here. It's always Truck Month on this station. Why does it always seem that the commercials are louder than the music? Jennings Ford is like, "I don't turn it down, I turn it up!" Yeeehaw! Fortunately, this station does play some Willie Nelson on occasion. Sometimes they go do live broadcasts from places around North Texas, like Billy Bob's or somewhere in Dallas. Be sure to call in and make some requests!

I like stuff that you don't here on "country" radio....UNLESS, you got it dialed in to 95.3 THE RANGE! They play every thing from the locals like Owen Temple, The Old 97's, Sorta, Macon Greyson, Max Stalling, Bleu Edmonson...And they also play artists from back in the day, and the new young independent studs. You'll it all, from Johnny Cash to Johnny Paycheck, Roger Miller to Roger Creager, Good ole Gary P. Nunn, the 2 kings of my music world JJW and REK, Randy Rogers, CCR(both kinds), 1100 Springs(the best damn band in Texas), Willie, Waylon and Me. Brett Dylon, best DJ out there...They even just made a movie about him. He's the goa teed honky tonk hippie himself, with his band of monkeys, and he rules. The others are suspect, but all in all, i rarely move down the dial.
