I have never before had the unfortunate displeasure of dealing with such rude, appalling, careless…read morebehavior from the majority of employees and one specific manager. The majority of the staff here are clearly here just for a paycheck and it shows. Food wise - I've had missing items on orders, specialty hot chocolate that was cold and barely filled, been told a soup I order daily was "dumped" for the day even though it was available on the touch ordering screen. The final unforgivable straw was yesterday when I came in with an emergency (I only live a few blocks from this location) and the "manager" was cold and reluctant to help. I was panicked and desperate. I had a dead cell phone and no means of contacting anyone for the emergency I was facing. The "manager" without even really checking if she could - just told me she "could not help me" and went on her way. A young employee seemed more concerned than this "manager" did. The "managers" attitude about the emergency I was in was absolutely abhorrent. I visit this Wawa every morning and after the attitude and lack of compassion from this certain "manager" - I will NEVER be giving this location my business again. This location especially the one "manager" needs to be looked into. I'm not the only one who has experienced unpleasant unfortunate incidents with the majority of the employees carelessness here and I'm sure I won't be the last. Definitely avoid this Wawa!

This is one of those old school Wawa's that aren't totally corporate looking. But that also means…read morethey don't have amenities like a public bathroom. The place is also small, so if you order a sandwich, you'll need to strategically find a place to stand where you're not too close to other people. There's no designated place to line up, so people will just be in the middle of the aisle. Tiny parking lot, but I can't imagine it gets too busy. The bread the used for my sandwich was bad though. Pretty stale.

I've used this particular pharmacy (Rite Aid, Burnt Tavern Road) for more than 15 years now and…read morethey have served me well. I'm not an "easy" customer. I have a chronic illness, I'm on 5 different prescription drugs as well as herbal/vitamin supplements, and I have lived out of state for 5 years and travel a lot for research. Ray, one of the two pharmacists, is fantastic. Not only will he answer your questions about drug interactions, but he will do so kindly. Laurie, one of the pharmacy techs, remembers me by name, always asks how I'm doing with school, and treats me like a person, not a number...which is hard to do in such a large chain, such as Rite Aid. I lived out of state for graduate school for 5 years and had to have several prescriptions transferred from an independent pharmacy called Gate City in NC to Brick Rite for those 5 years over fall/spring/and summer breaks. My prescriptions were always transferred promptly and cooperatively with the other pharmacy. There have been a few times where I have needed my prescriptions ordered (not in stock), and Rite Aid was prompt on making sure I received them on time. I'm also on a particular prescription that I cannot miss a day, and my doctor forgot to call in my prescription, but Rite Aid was fast to make sure I got my prescription as soon as she make the call at 8am...9am my prescription was ready. As with anything in life, communication is key. I have a pharmaceutical coupon that saves me A LOT of money on a brand name prescription. There have been a few times the pharm tech ringing me up forgot to apply it, but as soon as I reminded her, the coupon was applied. No big deal. Communication really goes a long way. Years ago, I was afraid of some strange symptoms I was experiencing and I couldn't get in touch with my doctor (it was a weekend), and Ray was able to answer questions I had, put me at ease, and saved me a trip to the E.R. Those were dark times for me and I have never forgot the patience that Ray demonstrated towards me. There is also a drive thru, and every time I stop by with my LARGE dog, Laurie gives him a big bone!! :) Of course with every pharmacy, there are drawbacks. I'm not a fan of the second pharmacist, I actually cannot remember his name. He's not friendly, but he seems to know his pharmacology. I reviewer below said he has a God complex... welcome to the world of doctors. He gets the job done, so I have no complaints against this pharmacist, I just ask for Ray if I have questions and avoid him ;) This review pertains only to the pharmacy.

You've heard the critique that sometimes a doctor needs to work on their bed side manner. Well,…read morehere the pharmacist is worthy of that critique. I went there yesterday for a flu shot. I'm not a fan of needles. When I told the pharmacist to not take it personally if I look away while she gives me the shot, she responded by calling me a baby. Simply put I don't like needles. I get the flu shot each year when I need it but I don't like to see it being done. While she gave the flu shot without technical complication, the statement by the pharmacist was a bit rude and insulting and uncalled for. You can have your opinions one way or another but that is not the right way to treats a patient or customer. I normally go across the street to the CVS because they know what they are doing and they treat their customers with courtesy, but on this occasion they were out of the flu vaccine. Little to say I will not return here in the future to deal with this pharmacist.
