For example, if I encounter a scheduling conflict, she makes a point of making sure I am happy with to new time and date. She once brought my I pad (which I forgot at the salon) to the bowling alley where I was league bowling. I really cannot imagine having another hairdresser. Since it was my first time with her (and needed a lot of help from my last cut which needed some serious fixing), Lacey took extra time to play with my hair, show me a couple of options to go about fixing the style without losing sight of my long term plan: keep my hair long. She then washed my hair, cut it while wet, dried it, and cut again. I've never had someone take as much care as she did, weighing options before cutting since you can only go shorter not longer! She also was informative, explaining the reasoning behind why she was cutting while wet, then again while dry, and any products she was using -- which by the way were acrobatically fabulous. Lacey was also a super conversationalist. Real, down to earth, and easy to talk to, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Left with an amazing smelling bottle of Moroccan oil, love for Lacey and her amazing skills, and an incredible haircut. At the time, I was using Marc Anthony's line of curly hair products. I washed my hair the night before and used the product. I have never had anyone else mention a bad odor, including my husband who would certainly let me know. On top of it, I walked out with one of the worst haircuts to date. There were no layers and I walked out of there as the shape of a triangle. It took me forever to grow my hair out. A bit disruptive and intrusive, particularly given I'm a full grown adult more than capable of managing my own schedule. Worst haircut, color and overall experience of my life save an ill-considered visit to a beauty school years ago. All for the low low price of $200. For that kind of money in what is marketed as a high end salon, please don't require amateur payment methods (Venmo). Trust me, you'd do better with a pair of fiscar scissors and a box of Clairol.
